Brianna VonBehren

IVESDALE Brianna Elizabeth Marie VonBehren, daughter of Jonathan VonBehren and Teresa A. Clark, Ivesdale, was stillborn at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Private graveside services will be in Arcola Cemetery.

Edwards Funeral Home, 221 E. Main St., Arcola, is in charge of arrangements.

James Wilson

BROADLANDS James H. Wilson, 92, of Broadlands died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at home.

Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairfield Cemetery, Newman. The Rev. John Reynolds will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly, Newman, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Young

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. Richard Stanley "Rick" Young, 50, of Woodland Park, formerly of Champaign, died at 7 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 24, 1999) at St. Francis Hospital, Woodland Park.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mountain Wilderness Memorial Park, Woodland Park.

A family memorial service will be held Saturday at the home of his sister in Urbana.

Joseph Crum Jr.

BROCTON Joseph "Joe" T. Crum Jr., 67, of Brocton died at 9 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Brocton Christian Church, Brocton. Virgil Haynes will officiate. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Paris, with military rites by Brocton American Legion No. 977.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Taber Funeral Home, 221 E. Main St., Oakland.

Stephen Dowds

DANVILLE Stephen Henry Dowds, 51, of Danville died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at the Danville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Barrick and Son Funeral Home, 440 N. Walnut St., Danville.

Mildred Harris

RANTOUL Mildred Helen Harris, 98, of Rantoul died Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at home.

Memorial services and Eastern Star ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Rantoul, 200 S. Century Blvd., Rantoul. The Rev. Robert Freeman and the Rev. Sidney Crowcroft will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul.

There will be no visitation. Lux Memorial Chapel, Rantoul, is in charge of arrangements.

Francis Hawthorne

FARMER CITY Funeral services for Francis Andrew Hawthorne, 83, of Farmer City will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main, Farmer City. The Rev. Dan Hill will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hawthorne died at 12:30 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) in Gibson Area Community Hospital Annex, Gibson City.

Gretchen Heuer

SPRINGFIELD Gretchen C. Heuer, 92, of Springfield died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at home.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton.

Anna Hinrichs

THOMASBORO Anna Margarett Hinrichs, 88, of Thomasboro died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at Manor Care of Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville. The Rev. James Lehmann will officiate. Burial will be in Kopmann Cemetery, St. Joseph.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul, is in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Holt

CLINTON Funeral services for Clifford Edward Holt, 69, of Clinton, formerly of Waynesville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, 210 S. Center St., Clinton. The Rev. Robert Hoffmann will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wapella, with military rites.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Holt died at 12:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Albert James

WESTVILLE Albert Ronald James, 66, of Westville died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at the Danville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeside-Urbas Funeral Home, 135 N. West St., Westville. The Rev. Dean Huguet will officiate. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Joseph Malone

DANVILLE Joseph L. Malone, 74, of Champaign, formerly of Danville, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at the Danville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville.

Harold Osborn

DANVILLE Harold T. "Ozzie" Osborn, 86, of Danville died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pape Memorial Home and Cremation Gardens, 10 E. Williams St., Danville.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of the Danville United Church of Christ.

Gilbert Raasch

CHAMPAIGN Gilbert O. Raasch, 95, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, died Jan. 20, 1999, at Calgary.

Information on funeral arrangements was unavailable.

He was hired by the Illinois State Geological Survey in 1946 to re-establish the education program, especially the public field trip program, that had been suspended during World War II. In his six years with the survey, he conducted nearly 50 public field trips. He also assembled a significant portion of the survey's Cambrian-Devonian fossil collection.

He moved to Calgary in 1953 to work as a paleontologist in petroleum exploration for several oil companies. In 1967, he founded Raasch and Associates, a private paleontological consulting firm, which he operated until he was in his 80s.

A symposium, "Gilbert O. Raasch, A Man for All Systems," was held in his honor at the 1997 Geological Society of America North Central meeting in Madison, Wis.
