Conner D. Newbolds
PLYMOUTH -- Infant Conner D. Newbolds of Plymouth died July 12, 2011 at IU Med Center,
Indianapolis.
He is survived by his parents, Karen M. Hough and Daniel D. Newbolds; brother, Micah
Newbolds; sister, Michelle Newbolds; grandparents, Shirley Hough, Tammie Atchley, Thomas
Atchley, Jerry and Linda Newbolds; and great-grandparents, Ray and Vera McGarrity.
Visitation was Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E.
Grove St., Wheatfield. Services were Monday, July 18 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment
will take place at Wheatfield cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family.

Gregory L. Carswell
BOURBON -- Gregory L. Carswell, 58, of 11750 Gumwood Road, Bourbon passed away
Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 7 a.m. at home in the care of his family. He fought a courageous fouryear
battle with cancer.
Greg was born the son of Loren R. Carswell and Susanna R. Burroughs Carswell April 4, 1953 in
Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. He married Rebecca L. Eyrich June 30, 1990.
He is survived by his wife and their two children, Riley Dale Carswell and Bryce Gregory Carswell
both at home.
He had been a resident of Marshall County all of his life. He worked as a maintenance worker for
Marshall County Buildings and Grounds. He was a graduate of Culver Community Schools, class
of 1971. He also attended the Bourbon First United Methodist Church and served as a trustee of
the church.
Greg was very involved in community activities serving on the Marshall County 4-H Fair Board
and was past president of the Fair Board in 2010. He enjoyed watching Riley and Bryce show 4-
H dairy steers at the fair and Indiana State Fair. He was always helping kids at the fair. He loved
attending auctions and working with Marshall County’s best auctioneers; Markley’s Triple M
Auction and Ball Auction Services and driving antique John Deere tractors. Greg was an IHSAA
sports official for 25 years including volleyball, basketball and baseball and a member of the
Culver Young Farmers as well as the Marshall County Dairy Association.
His parents, Loren and Susanna Carswell of Culver, and his three sisters, Rae Anne Carswell,
Karen Carswell and Rhonda Anderson also survive. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Shirley
Eyrich; three brothers-in-law, Ernest Eyrich, Richard and wife Tina Eyrich and Douglas and wife
Barbara Eyrich; and sister-in-law, Marcia and husband Craig Spaid as well as several nieces and
nephews surviving.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 18, 2011 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Deaton-Clemens
Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Bourbon Bible Church with
Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Bourbon.
The family requests memorial contributions are made to Marshall County Hospice and Palliative
Care or the Marshall County 4-H Fair Board – Dairy Project.
Arrangements are being directed by Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home.

Marjorie M. Terpstra
ROCHESTER -- Marjorie M. Terpstra, 84, of Rochester died at 1:44 p.m., Thursday, July 14,
2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Terpstra of Wright City, Mo.; a son, Peter William
(Connie) Terpstra II of Athens; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200
W. 18th St., Rochester.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fulton
County Historical Society or Hope Hospice of Fulton County.

Robert K. Casad
LAKEVILLE -- Robert K. Casad, 78, of Bonifay, Fla., formerly of Lakeville died July 16, 2011.
He is survived by his children, Debra Ferguson, Danny Casad and Douglas Casad, all of
Lakeville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Clady and Esther Casad
and brother, Harry Casad Jr., all of Lakeville.
Private burial will take place at Southlawn cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral HomeLakeville
is handling the arrangements.

Carroll F. Thomas
KNOX -- Carroll F. Thomas, 69, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; one son, Carl (Bobbie Jo) Thomas of Knox; one
granddaughter; and one brother, Leon Thomas of Knox.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home,
Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be at the Fletcher cemetery, Hamlet. Visitation is Saturday from 10
a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the
family.

Mary Jean Yockey
BREMEN -- Mary Jean Yockey, 85, of Bremen passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:50
a.m. at the Bremen Health Care Center after a brief illness. She graduated from Bremen High
School in 1943 and was the class salutatorian. She was a farmwife and also worked at
Boremans, and retired from Universal Bearings.
Mary was born Sept. 24, 1925 in Columbia City to Elery E. and Mary Brown Wakeman Wolfe.
Oct. 22, 1946 Mary married Ernest Alden Yockey, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She loved reading, gardening and
listening to gospel music.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Collins of Bourbon and Janet Flegel of Hope; four sons,
Ernest Yockey, Jr. of Bremen, Bruce (Debbie) Yockey of Bremen, Philip Yockey of Plymouth and
Keith Yockey of Plymouth. She also had four grandchildren, Joshua Flegel of Lander, Wyo.,
Jonathan and Jennifer (Passen) Flegel of Muncie, Jeanna (Collins) and Andy Lidecker of
Bremen and Danielle Collins of Bourbon; sister, Betty Warner of Leesburg, Fla.; five brothers,
Elery 'Bub' Wolfe of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ted Wolfe of Kennesaw, Ga., Lincoln Wolfe of Valley
Springs, Calif., Robert Wolfe of Bremen and Lynn Wolfe of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Susan; a son-in-law, Gary Collins and
grandson, Nathan Collins; two sisters, Evelyn M. Forsythe and Marjorie Conner; and brother,
Charles Wolfe.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Mishler Funeral Home,
Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Gail Law. Burial will follow at the Bremen cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Collins Scholarship Fund.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff of the Bremen Health Care Center for the wonderful
care and attention given to Mary. YOU ARE ANGELS!!!

Robert Edwin Fox
WAKARUSA -- Robert Edwin Fox, 86, of 28871 C.R. 38, Wakarusa, died at 1:35 a.m., Sunday,
July 17, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a son, Brian (Pat) Fox of Wakarusa; two grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary (Maynard) Moon and Patsy (Don) Shirley, both of
Lakeville.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home,
Wakarusa, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Burial
will be in Olive West cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at Grace Brethren Church or
Alzheimer’s Association.

Lowell R. Greenlee
PLYMOUTH -- Longtime Plymouth businessman, Lowell R. Greenlee, 86, passed away Sunday
morning, July 17, 2011 at 5:50 a.m. in the Bremen Health Care of natural causes. Lowell was an
Olive Trail resident in Plymouth for the past 50 years.
He was born in Plymouth Feb. 26, 1925, the son of Robert E. and Rena M. (Lawrence) Greenlee.
Lowell graduated from West High School in 1943; there he was a standout 5-foot-10 center on
the basketball team which at the time had no indoor court. Later he would remain active from the
mound playing fastpitch softball for the 'Franklin Scrappers' and 'Plymouth Merchants.'
After graduation, Lowell was off to the Great Lakes Naval Base and served on the USS Alnitah
as a Radioman Second Class in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
After the war, Lowell attained a business degree from Indiana University. He then entered the
field of insurance and later partnered with Fred Morrow from 1967 until his retirement in 1990
from the Morrow Insurance Agency in Plymouth.
June 17, 1947 in Donaldson, Lowell took as his bride the former Ethel M. Bergman and together
they have enjoyed 64 wonderful years. Ethel survives with their three sons and families. They
are: Robert L. Greenlee of Plymouth and his daughter, Gina C. Greenlee. Phil F. and Yung J.
Greenlee of Plymouth and children, Debra S. Lockhart and Doreen S. Ruggles. Larry K.
Greenlee of Waterville, Ohio and children, Adam K. Greenlee, Drew W. Greenlee and Leah M.
Rowe. Five great-grandchildren include: Hadley, Asia, Breanne, Rebecca and Brandon.
Lowell was a great dad and always present and accounted for at his sons’ many activities. He
also took great pride in maintaining his property on Olive Trail and enjoyed watching a good
Chicago Bear game.
Lowell was raised in the Methodist faith and had then attended Trinity United Methodist.
In the community he has been involved with the American Legion Post 27, Veterans of Foreign
Wars -- Marshall Co. Post 1162, and the Eagles, Moose and Elks Lodges.
A family service will take place with burial in the New Oakhill cemetery.

Ray W. Miller
PLYMOUTH -- Ray W. Miller, 82, of 17372 Lincoln Highway, Plymouth, passed away at 10:10
p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the V.A. Hospital in Marion.
Ray was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Plymouth, to Ralph and Dorothy (Daughtery) Miller. Ray married
the former Esther Stone April 8, 1953. He was a retired painter and farmer. He was the founding
father of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Posse. Ray served his country in the United States Army
during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1162 and also a
member of the Shalom Fellowship Charismatic Church.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Esther Miller; their daughter, RaeAnn Odom of
Poplarville, Miss.; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Miller of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Kerry
(Elizabeth) McFarland, April McFarland, DeAnn Guyer, Melanie (Marty) Farrar, Jamie (Matt)
Mattke, and Bryon Miller; his great-grandchildren, Kaylee McFarland, Austin Walesiewicz,
Samuel Nickol, Devon Farrar, Alec Mattke, Joshua Mattke, Caleb Mattke, and Lacey Mattke.
Ray was preceded in death by his son, James Miller May 10, 2011; and his brother, Alva Miller.

ROCHESTER -- Agatha Jane Marsh, 96, of Rochester, died at 8:30 p.m., Monday, July 18,
2011 at Woodlawn Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Marsh and husband Allen Andersen of Elkhart; a sister,
Thelma Frettinger of Rochester; and brothers, Charles Moon of Mishawaka, Bill (Marilyn) Moon
of Rochester, and Donald (Emma) Moon of Bradenton, Fla.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200
W. 18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service
in the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Moon cemetery, Rochester.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
