WARSAW — Nancy Virginia Jones, 66, of Warsaw, died at 3:16 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at
Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Jones; sons: Kevin (Lori) Jones of Fishers, Kenneth
(Kelly) Jones of Vernon, Fla. and Patrick (Dianna) Jones of Claypool; a daughter, Jennifer (Jon)
Cook of Mentone; a sister, Linda Gates of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; a brother, Stan Pfeiffer of
Fort Wayne; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel,
2290 Provident Ct., Warsaw.
Funeral services will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Burial will take place at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, at a later date.

Elnor M . Conrad
PENSACOLA, Fla. — Elnor M. Conrad, 86, of Wakarusa, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12,
2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.
She is survived by daughters: Shela Conrad of Pensacola, Fla., Lana (Bill) Ferrelle of Savannah,
Ga., Rhonda (Rob) Briscoe of Savannah, Ga. and Jill (Mike) Gellos of Pensacola, Fla.; nine
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Keith) Sinton of Paso Robles, Calif.; and
brothers, Don (Phyllis) Housour of Nappanee and Dale (Sally) Housour of Wakarusa.
Visitation will take place from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder
Funeral Home, 501 N. Elkhart St., Wakarusa.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Olive West cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Baptist Church.

Lucille Harper
MADISON — Lucille Harper, 79, of Madison, formerly of Plymouth, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010
at Waters of Clifty Falls, Madison, after a long illness.
Lucille made dolls and ceramics and was an excellent seamstress and cook.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Sheets of Madison; sister, Edith Smith of Bremen;
brothers: Willard "W.D" Burgess of Louisville, Ky., Paul Burgess of Hartford, Mich., and Cliff
Burgess of Royal Oak, Mich.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Harper in 1992 and a daughter, Yvonne
Martin in 2005.
Graveside services took place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan., 14 at Mount Pleasant cemetery,
Bourbon.

Margurite St. Pierre
CULVER — Margurite Handy St. Pierre, 103, died Monday morning, January 12, 2010 at Miller’s
Merry Manor, Plymouth.
She is survived by a sister Joy Klapp of Bartol, Fla. and many nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, was entrusted with arrangements.

George E., Sr. Hopple
CULVER — George E. Hopple, Sr., 80, of 17036 Tamarack Road, Culver, Indiana, 46511,
passed away at his home, Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.
George was born May 14, 1929, in Culver, to Lester and Ruth Rank Hopple. He owned Hopple
Excavating and Trucking, which he started in 1950. He was a member of the Culver V.F.W. Post
#6919, served in the Indiana National Guard, and belonged to the Wesley United Methodist
Church, in Culver.
George and Eleanor Leininger were married Nov. 23, 1958. Eleanor passed away Sept. 4, 2003.
George is survived by his son, George Hopple, Jr.; his grandson, Jonathon Hopple; George, Jr.’s
significant other, Paula Morris, and Paula’s son, Rick Morris.
George was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Hoepner and his brother, Jim Hopple.

Martha J. Martin
BREMEN — Martha Jane Martin, 76, of Bremen, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, in the
Community Hospital of Bremen.
She was born in Bremen March 19, 1933, to Oscar E. and Fern U. (Smith) Mutti. On April 13,
1952, she married Ivar Lee Martin in Bremen, who preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2006.
Survivors include her brother, Stanley E. Mutti of South Bend, and nieces: Barbara (Michael)
Stillson of Bremen, and Diane K. Monhaut of Chicago. Also residing in Bremen are her great nieces,
Staci Hendricks and Misti Hendricks; great-nephews, Corky Hendricks and Matthew
(Whitney) Stillson; great-great-niece, Jensyn Enders; great-great-nephew, Dylan Swanson, and
in Plymouth, great-great-nephews, Zephen and Zackery Xaver.
She also cherished her husband's siblings, Marjorie (Clem) Shorter, Mildred (Harry) Leffert, June
(Nelson) Pittman, Dewey Martin and Lowell (Dee) Martin, all of Bremen, and the many wonderful
Martin nieces and nephews. Martha was also preceded in death by her dear sisters, Doris
(Devon) Pittman and Irene (Ralph) Monhaut; nieces, Sandy (Fred) Eby and Ellen Marie
Monhaut; nephews, Jack Ray Pittman and Michael Eugene Monhaut; and brothers-in-law, Dale
(Clella) Martin, and Walter (Agnes) Martin.
Martha graduated from Bremen High school in 1951 and attended St. Paul's Lutheran School.
As a young bride she accompanied Ivar on Navy assignments in Key West, Fla., San Diego,
Calif. and Norfolk, Va. She often spoke fondly of working at the Frances Shop in downtown
South Bend in the 1950s.
She then worked for many years as the bookkeeper for Ideal Oil Company in Bremen, a
company her father established in 1926. Martha loved watching the wildlife and tending her
flowers at the home she and Ivar built in their woods south of Bremen. Visiting with friends, being
around young people and working on craft projects, sewing and canning always gave her great
pleasure. Martha baked delicious homemade pies for every family gathering. She greatly
enjoyed her friends in the Bremen "Girls' 500 Card Club" for 50 years.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Bremen cemetery Chapel,
with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating.
Martha will then be laid to rest between her husband, Ivar, and her Swiss grandparents, Gottlieb
and Elise Bandelier Mutti, at the Bremen cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reins of Life in South Bend; Loveway
Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Middlebury; Heminger House in Plymouth; the Marshall
County Humane Society, also in Plymouth; or to the organization of the donor's choice.
The Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rosanna Miller
COLUMBIA CITY — Rosanna Miller, 86, of Columbia City, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14,
2010 at The Oaks Nursing Home, Columbia City.
She is survived by a son, Jan (Karen) Miller of Columbia City; a granddaughter; two great granddaughters;
sisters: Alice Rogers of Culver, Lois (Al) Therrien of Grandbury, Texas, and
Lorretta (Max) Hemmert of Astoria, Ore.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park
Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City and one hour prior to services on Monday.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund or Heartland
Hospice.

Harvey W. Ramer
GOSHEN — Harvey W. Ramer, 93, of Goshen, formerly of New Paris, died at 10:40 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at his residence, the home of his daughter Lauretta, in Goshen.
He is survived by daughters: Lauretta (Clarence) Hoover of Goshen, Judith (Elam) Martin of
Viola, Wis., and Charlotte (Verlin) Martin of Bristol; daughter in law, Berdine Ramer of New
Paris; sons: Ivan (Rachel) Ramer of Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, Keith (Teri) Ramer of
Nappanee, and Charles (Kathy) Ramer of New Paris; and sisters, Martha Kulp of New Paris and
Grace Shaum of Goshen; 30 grandchildren; and 75 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17 and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 18 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St.,
Wakarusa.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Frame cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the World Missionary Press.

Isaac "Ike" Warren
PLYMOUTH- Isaac “Ike” Warren, 77, died following a long illness in the emergency room of St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth Campus, at 6:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010. He
has resided at 3255 5C Road, Plymouth since 1980, coming from Walkerton.
Ike, the son of Georgia (Hubbard) and John L. Warren was born July 4, 1932, in Barbourville, Ky.
He attended schools in Barbourville, moved to Cincinnati at the age of 13. There he would meet
his wife the former Pauline M. Jackson. They were married in Newport, Ky. Oct. 25, 1965 and
moved to South Bend that following year.
Ike served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.
He worked as a welder at Champion in Bremen, and then Fairmont Homes in Nappanee. He
then became a tester at McCord Corp. in Plymouth and retired from Dean’s Specialty Foods.
He loved fishing. Often, he enjoyed visiting pay lakes in Cincinnati as well as Salmon fishing in
Michigan. He liked to catch them, but never ate them.
Ike also enjoyed watching professional wrestling with his grandchildren and claiming to have
been a big Hulk Hogan and Dick the Bruiser fan.
A member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge – Family Center, since July 11, 1986, he would often
visit Mooseheart Child City and support the special work accomplished there within the Baby
Village.
Ike is survived by his loving wife, Pauline, and by their children, two sons and two daughters.
They are: Richard A. Warren, Randall G. Warren, Tawnya G. Warren (Donie Roberts) and
Monica L. (Daniel F.) Johnson, all from Plymouth.
His 10 grandchildren also survive. They are: Randy’s children: RJ and Bailey; Tawnya’s: Sean,
Dakota, Noah and Jacob; and Monica’s: Ethan, Ashley, Courtney and Daniel. Lorraine Jackson,
Ike’s mother-in-law of Plymouth also survives together with four sisters: Betty Garland of Las
Vegas, Wanda Grubb of Ohio, Mary (Bob) Polk of Hamilton, Ohio; Charlotte Boyle of N.C.; and
Marie Warren, a sister-in-law of Kentucky. A very good friend, James Goodrich also survives.
Ike was preceded in death by a daughter, Yalonda Warren, July 4, 1982 and four brothers: Jake,
Jack, Bill, and Bobby Warren. Cathy, an infant sister, has also died.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ike with his family at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17. A Moose
Ritual ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Vito Rulli, pastor of the Lakeside Baptist Church, will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18.
Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery, South Bend with military graveside honors.
Memorial gifts in Ike’s memory may be made to Mooseheart Charities - Mooseheart Child City’s
Baby Village, Mooseheart, IL, 60539.
