CULVER -- Chester A. “Squeeks” Singleton Jr., 53, of Culver, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his
residence.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Priscilla (Mike) Singleton of Plymouth; son, Chester
P. “Bub” (Vanessa) Singleton IV of Culver; sisters, Melody Dowd and Eileen Wakefield, both of
Culver; brothers, Randy “Wally” Singleton of Knox, and John Singleton of Plymouth; two
grandsons; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CST) Friday, Nov. 19 and two hours prior to services
Saturday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the funeral chapel.

Anna B. Smith
PLYMOUTH -- Anna B. Smith, 65, of Plymouth, died at 9:07 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; sons: Jeff Linville of San Diego, Calif., David Smith of
Nashville, Ind., and Jerry (Ginger) Smith of Millbrook, Ala.; a daughter, Ann (Jeff) Babcock of
Plymouth; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; her mother, Elizabeth Hayes of Russell
Springs, Ky.; sisters: Jean Brant of Franklin, Janice Blair of Russell Springs, Ky. And Lois Hale of
Jamestown.
Visitation will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Cancer Association, 9739
Sunnyside Drive, Plymouth, IN, 46563.

Harley D. Campbell
CULVER -- Harley D. Campbell, 81, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 after a battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Teresa Hamilton; stepson, Scott Campbell;
stepdaughter, Christine (Robert) Wagner; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at Culver Masonic
cemetery, Culver.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Odom Funeral Home, Culver, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Doris Ruth Emmons
PLYMOUTH -- Doris Ruth Emmons, 85, of Neidlinger Garden Court, Plymouth, died at 1 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 13, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, following a traffic accident in Marshall
County Friday evening.
Doris, a vibrant and talented woman who enjoyed taking care of the elderly with love and
compassion, was born in Culver May 11, 1925. She was the daughter of Earl D. and Artie A.
(Wooldridge) Zehner.
She lived in the area most of her life. She attended Argos High School, dropping out before
graduation and in 1980, almost 50 years later, showing her determination to succeed, Doris
earned her GED and then attended Ivy Tech, earning a Technical Degree.
On March 1, 1942, in Plymouth, Doris and Raymond L. Ringle were married . She then married
Ward L. Emmons on March 10, 1961, in Walkerton who preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1998.
For the past 18 years Floyd (John) Bottorff was Doris’ companion.
Doris was an active member of the Moose for over 50 years, the VFW, the American Legion and
the Eagles lodges.
She loved to golf and was talented inembroidery, crocheting and sewing.
Surviving her death are two daughters and three sons. They are Jerry R. (Christine) Ringle,
South Bend; Kerry G. Ringle, San Diego, Calif.; Todd A. (Tina) Emmons; Rita A. (Rodney)
DeBard, LaGro, Ind. And Cindy S. (Bill) Rash, Plymouth.
Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive as well, together with many friends and
family.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and siblings: Virginia Miller, Garland
Zehner, Robert Zehner, and Gerald Zehner.
Time to share memories and visit with the family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
Nov. 16, 2010 with a Moose Auxiliary Memorial Service held at 8 p.m., in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
Funeral services will be at the same location at 10 a.m. on Wednesday Nov. 17, 2010 with the
senior’s pastor of Plymouth Wesleyan Church, Ed Friberg officiating.
Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth
Memorial gifts in Doris’ memory may be made to the Christina Pochert Ringle – Jerry R. Ringle
Scholarship Fund c/o Dina Harris, IU South Bend, 1700 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46634.

Eugene E. Elkins
BOURBON -- Eugene E. Elkins, 77, of Bourbon, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife Susan (Scarberry); a daughter Rachel (Terry) Keyser of Bourbon; and
five grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Helen M. Schneider
CULVER -- Helen M. Schneider, 95, of Culver, formerly of Plymouth, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at
Miller’s Merry Manor.
She is survived by sons, Fred and Tom Schneider, both of Plymouth; and three grandsons.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Sara A. Wagner-Robinson
WAKARUSA -- Sara A. Wagner-Robinson, 79, Wakarusa, formerly of Nappanee, died at 12:33
p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (Deborah) Wagner of Nappanee and Roger (Cheryl) Wagner
of Phoenix, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Patricia (Michael) Schaefer, of Bristol and Teresa Robinson of
Marietta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at Thompson-Lengacher &
Yoder Funeral Home, 950 N. Main St., Nappanee.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nappanee United Methodist Church.

Ann Bottorff
LAKELAND, Fla. -- Ann Bottorff, 80, of Lakeland, Fla. died Tuesday, Nov. 16 2010, at Palm
Terrace Good Shepherd Hospice Unit in Lakeland.
She is survived by sons, Rev. David Milton Bottorff of Darien Ill., Rev. Chris A.E. Bottorff of
Crown Point, and Mark Robert Bottorff of Mishawaka; and five grandchildren.
Visitation took place from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4450 Harden
Blvd., Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral services took place at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial followed at Florida National cemetery, Bushnell.
Crisp-Coon Funeral Home, Winter Haven, Fla. Assisted the family with arrangements.

Loren Roger Geyer
LAKEVILLE -- Loren Roger Geyer, 84, of Lakeville, died Nov. 16, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Geyer; daughters, Debra (Richard) Gardner, Cindy (Randy)
Frick and Lori (Robert) Gibson; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Harold
(Pat) Geyer and Russell (Jeanne) Geyer.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 in the Newton Center, Lakeville and
one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Lakeville United Methodist
Church, 610 N. Michigan St. Lakeville. Burial will follow in the Lakeville cemetery. Palmer
Funeral Home-Lakeville is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jeannine Carol Hundt
PLYMOUTH -- Jeannine Carol Hunt, formerly of Baker Street, Plymouth, passed away Tuesday,
Nov. 16, 2010, at the Cornerstone Rehabilitation Center in Temple, Texas.
Jeannine was born Feb. 18, 1929, in Anderson, to Eugene E. and Mina S. Hite. As a young girl,
she and her mother moved to Washington, D.C., where she met William P. Hunt, her high
school sweetheart. Jeannine and Bill were married May 8, 1950.
To their marriage, three children were born: Linda, Bill, and Kathleen. Bill, Jeannine, and their
three children, moved to Plymouth, in 1969. Jeannine and Bill divorced in later years, but
remained friends until Bill’s death in 2005.
Jeannine graduated from Roosevelt High School, Washington, D.C., and attended the University
of Maryland, where she majored in clothing and textiles.
Jeannine loved the arts, especially ballet. She was an accomplished toe prima ballerina and
taught ballet to many young ladies. Jeannine also gave her time and talents to help with the
growth of the Plymouth Arts Commission. She was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian
Church, in Plymouth, where she built many friendships that she cherished so very much.
Jeannine loved to sing and was a member of the Marshall County Chorus and the church choir
for many years. She was an associate member of the Beta Delta Chapter of Tri Kappa and a
member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed exercising with the “Silver Sneakers” group,
prior to moving to Texas. She moved to Texas due to her deteriorating health.
Jeannine is survived by her children: Linda (Ed) Houin, of Plymouth, William P. (Jane) Hunt, of
Temple, Texas, and Kathleen (Frank) Smith, of Perrysburg, Ohio. Jeannine also is survived by
nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a great-grandson, who is due in December.
Jeannine touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, generosity, patience, and
love. She will be dearly missed by many.

Edna Mae Johnson
NORTH LIBERTY -- Edna Mae Johnson, 83, of North Liberty, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 in
her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Cleo E. Johnson; son, Ron (Vickie) Wedel; a grandson; sisters:
Amy Shunk, Ann (Dick) Kersh and Elsie (Tom) Frame; brother, Charles (Linda) Rupel and
stepchildren: Deborah (Dennis) Grubb, Michael Johnson and Jeffery Johnson.
There will be no services or visitation.
Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville and Southlawn Cremation Services, South Bend, is assisting the
family with arrangements.

Lois A. Stones
ROCHESTER -- Lois A. Stones, 86, of Rochester, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at
her residence.
She is survived by her daughter, Allyson (Thomas) Harman of Claypool; three grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Duzan of Warsaw; a brother, Robert Holloway of Rochester;
and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 19 at the Good Family Funeral
Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at noon Friday at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be at take place at 2 p.m. in the Oakwood cemetery, Warsaw.

Lori Lee Dalton Conrad
GROVERTOWN -- Lori Lee Dalton Conrad, 39, formerly of Bremen, died Nov. 17, 2010.
She is survived by children Ashley Conrad and Austin Conrad of Nappanee; father, Lee Dalton of
Bremen; sister, Leesa and Gary Paul of Muncie; brother Lee and Samantha Dalton of Newport
News, Va.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Services are 10:30 Monday, Nov. 22 at the funeral home, with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating.
Burial will follow at Bremen cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made towards Austin and Ashley’s educational fund.

Dr. Aline K. Merkel
FRANCESVILLE -- Dr. Aline K. Merkel, 94, formerly of Plymouth, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 17, 2010 at Parkview Haven in Francesville.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Merkel of Brook; four nieces; and five nephews.
Visitation will take place from 9 a.m . To 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at Apostolic Christian Church,
Wolcott. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at the
Apostolic Christian cemetery in Wolcott.
Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott assisted the family with arrangements.
