PLYMOUTH — Louise E. Vician, 65, of Plymouth, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen E. Vician of Plymouth; daughter, Julia Lynne Youst of
Warsaw; sons: James Warren Vician of LaPaz, John Antony Vician of Plainfield and Joel Robert
Vician of Plymouth; five grandchildren; half-sister, Margaret “Peggy” Dixon of Fishers; and halfbrother,
Donald Chambers of Otisco.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 13 form 12 to 2 p.m. at New Oakhill cemetery Chapel, Plymouth.
Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or the
American Heart Association.

Kenneth Wayne "Jake" Gall
NAPPANEE — Kenneth Wayne “Jake” Gall, 83, of Nappanee, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at LuAnn
Nursing Home, Nappanee.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Jerry) Wringer of Nappanee.
Visitation is Friday, May 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home,
Nappanee. Services are Friday, May 15 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Stony
Point cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Nappanee American Legion

Howard Dean Helmuth
NAPPANEE — Howard Dean Helmuth, 22, of Nappanee, died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, May 11,
2009 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He is survived by parents: Daniel and Mary Helmuth of Nappanee; brothers: Samuel Ray
(JoAnn) Helmuth of Nappanee and Delbert Lee (Martha) Helmuth of Nappanee; sisters: Maria
Ann Helmuth at home and Elain Sue (Norman) Hochstetler of Nappanee; and grandmother,
Barbara Helmuth of Nappanee.
Visitation is after 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 and all day Thursday, May 14 at the James
Slabaugh residence, 10819 W. 1350 N. Services are Friday, May 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the David
Slabaugh residence, 10889 W. 1350 N. Burial will be at Borkholder cemetery.
Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is in charge of the arrangements.

Helen V. McDaniel
KNOX — Helen V. McDaniel, 94, died Monday, May 11, 2009 in her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Boyle of Hamlet; two sons: James McDaniel of Winamac
and George McDaniel of Merrillville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 15 at 11 a.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet
Chapel. Burial will be in the Round Lake cemetery, Knox. Visitation is Thursday, May 14 from 4
to 8 p.m. CDT and Friday after 10 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Helen F. Meeker
A graveside interment service for Helen F. Meeker is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 22 in
New Oakhill cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow at noon in the Fellowship Hall of
the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Helen of Sebring, Fla. Died there Friday, March 13.
Helen is survived by her son, Richard S. Meeker of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a daughter, Diana Neel of
Sebring; and sister, Marian Hileman of Plymouth; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Charles Wayne Redinger
ROCHESTER — Charles Wayne Redinger, 84, of Rochester, died at 12:03 p.m. Wednesday,
May 13, 2009 at Life Care Center of Rochester
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons: Charles A. (Peggy) Redinger of Greenfield and Eldon
W. (Linda) Redinger of Winamac; four grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; two sisters:
Hilda (Merle) McGowen of Rochester and Gladys Thomas of Ft. Wayne.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th
St., Rochester. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 15 and one hour prior to the service in
the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the LeRoy Shelton American
Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Rochester.

June E. Breeding
PLYMOUTH — June E. Breeding, 89, passed away Thursday morning in Miller’s Merry Manor,
Walkerton of natural causes. From the age of nine she has been a Plymouth area resident.
June was born the daughter of Guy M. Breeding Sr. and Florence E. (Schreiber) Breeding on
May 6, 1920 in Waterman, Ill. She received her education in Plymouth and graduated with the
Lincoln High School Class of 1938.
For many years June worked as a sales clerk at the Morris Five & Dime Store and always
assisting on the family farm. She appreciated nature’s gifts and was often found tending the
garden and working outdoors. With those gifts she would share her skills of cooking, baking and
canning with her family and others. Visitors to her home never found an empty table.
She was nearly a 75-year member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed
time spent with the children as a Sunday School teacher and also as a member of the Mary and
Martha Ladies Circle.
June is survived by her only sibling, Guy Breeding Jr. of Plymouth and the following nieces and
nephews who thought of her more as a second ‘Mom’ than Aunt June. They are: Phyllis (Noel)
Hawley, Richard (June) Breeding, Anita Breeding, Barbara (Robert) Craft all of Plymouth and
Lyle (Pat) Breeding of Bluffton and Keith (Nancy) Breeding of Donaldson. Numerous great and
great great nieces and nephews also survive along with cousins Faye and Jake Heyle of Aurora,
Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law; Marjorie E. Breeding
and one great-great niece.
Family members will receive friends Tuesday, May 19 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home
at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20 her nephew Rev. Lyle Breeding and Pastor Kerry O’Brien.
Burial will follow in the Maple Grove cemetery at Argos.
Memorial gifts may be given in June’s memory to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S.
Michigan St. Plymouth, IN 46563 or the Alzheimers Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave. Suite
100, Chicago, IL 60611.

Janet (White) Gibson Endler
FLORIDA — Janet (White) Gibson Endler, 79, of Florida, formerly of Donaldson, passed away,
Thursday, May 14, 2009, in Safety Harbor, Fla.
Janet was born June 20, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., to Charles and Lucile (Booth) White.
She was a graduate of West High School in the Class of 1947. Survivors include her son, Ron
Gibson of Florida; her daughters: Cindy (Vance) Dill of Florida and Nancy (Etienne) Jehl of
Florida; four grandsons; three great-grandsons; and her brothers: Charles White of Florida and
Larry (Joyce) White of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Gibson and Jack Endler; and her brothers,
Robert White and Gerald White.
Private family graveside services will be held. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME is handling the arrangements.

Randall Mow
ROCHESTER — Randall Mow, 65, of Rochester, died at 1:49 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at
Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He is survived by a daughter, Christine (Ken) Kneifel of Rochester; two sons: Greg (Lori) Mow of
Rochester and Gary (Becky) Mow of Rochester; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St,
Rochester. Visitation is from noon through the hour of service Saturday.

Roy Penrose
PLYMOUTH — Roy Penrose, 78, of Tahoe Trail, Plymouth, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14,
2009 of natural causes at his home.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann; five daughters: Linda Lee Hoffman of South Bend, Michallie
(Steve) Forsythe of Bremen, Debra Freed of Nappanee, Donna (Mel) Hawkins of Nappanee and
Laura (Phil) England of Bremen; two sons: Jason Allen (Debra) Penrose and David Staton, all of
Bremen; 16 grandchildren an nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran
Church, 1314 N. Michigan St. Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be made in Roy's memory to the church.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John, Jr. Phillips
SWEETSER — John Jr. Phillips, 90, of Sweetser, formerly of Nappanee, died at 5:48 p.m.
Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Marion General Hospital.
He is survived by his daughter, Colleen (Greg) Reece of Noblesville; son, Steve (Joanna
Guckenberger) Phillips of Nappanee; and four grandsons.
Visitation is Saturday, May 16 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder
Funeral Home, Nappanee. Services are Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic
services will precede the funeral service. Burial will be at South Union cemetery. Military
graveside services will be conducted by the Nappanee American Legion.
Memorials may be made to McCormick Creek Golf Course.

Brian Rouch
ROCHESTER — Brian Rouch, 47, of Rochester, died at 8:14 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at
Memorial Hospital, South Bend from a motor vehicle accident.
He is survived by two daughters: Layne M. Rouch of Rochester and Abigail Rouch of Rochester;
a son, Brandon J. Rouch of LasVegas, Nev.; and his parents: Leroy and Jean Rouch of Rochester.
Services for Brian will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200
W. 18th St. Rochester. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and one hour prior to the service in
the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Fulton cemetery.

Roy W., Sr. Burger
KNOX — Roy W. Burger, Sr., 74, of Knox, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; daughter, Dawn Ferch of Hamlet; brothers: Raymond Burger
of Gulf Port, Miss., Duane (Pam) Burger Sr. of LaPorte and Gordon (Beverly) Burger Sr. of
Knox; sister, Janice Bottorff of Walkerton; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, May 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. with a Moose Memorial Service at 6 p.m. at M.C.
Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Services are Monday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial
will be at Crown Hill cemetery.

David Lloyd Goff
PHOENIX, Ariz. — David Lloyd Goff, 77, of Phoenix, Ariz. died May 15, 2009 at John C. Lincoln
Hospital, Phoenix.
He is survived by two daughters: Davi (Todd) Slabaugh of Etna Green, Kim (Robert) Jones of
Moulton, Ala.: two sons: Jeff Goff of Louisville, Ky. And Randy Goff of Decatur Ala.; one brother,
James Goff of Kenai, Alaska; two step-daughters; two step-sons, and nine grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Sept. 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Township cemetery in Etna Green
with military honors by the members of the Bourbon American Legion Post #424.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Margaret M. Connell
BOURBON — Margaret Meyer Connell, 96, a resident of 7900 E. 8th Road rural Plymouth, passed away May
16, 2009 in her home in the care of her family.
She was born the daughter of Charles C. Meyer and Phyllis Felder Meyer on June 17, 1912 at
Fulton. She was married on July 15, 1939 to Dr. Vactor O. Connell, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two daughters: Mary Connell Rowe of Kokomo and Cindy Connell of
Plymouth. Five grandchildren: Juliet Davis and husband Rick Patterson of St. Petersburg, Fla.,
Heidi & husband Thomas Clark of Goshen, JC & wife Lynn Utter of Bourbon, Lacey & husband
Michael Robinson of Zionsville and Neal Bennett and fiance’ Morgan Johnson of Indianapolis
along with her three great-grandchildren: Adrienne Utter, Joshua Clark and Reece Robinson.
Other extended family includes: Adam & Tonya Rowe, Jason Rowe and Susie Rogers, Paul &
Nerissa Benner, Mathew Miles, John Miles, Heather Miles, Anna Miles and Paul Benner III.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg; her sister, Thelma; and three brothers:
Russell, Lowell “Dutch” and Dale.
Margaret was a public school music teacher, a musician of piano, violin, organ, marimba,
clarinet, cello and a composer of vocal music. She was a faithful member of the Bourbon First
United Methodist Church where she was Director of Music and Choir Director for 40 years, also
founder of the Hand bell Choir and Carol Choir (Children’s Choir). She was also a member of the
Bourbon Progress Club and a traveler to Hong Kong, China and Europe.
Margaret was a graduate of Fulton High School, 1930, Indiana University School of Music Pi
Lambda Theta Honorary Fraternity for Music Education in 1936.
There will be a memorial service Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m. in the Bourbon First United
Methodist Church with Rev. Mark day officiating. The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. until
the time of the Memorial Service.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Bourbon First United Methodist
Church (Choir fund) 204 North St. Bourbon, IN 46504 or Campus Crusade for Christ (Cam &
Kristen Caughlan) Staff Prayer and Letter Service 524 7th St. Rockford, IL 61104.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
