KOONTZ LAKE — Edith B. Daley, 80, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Millers Merry Manor, Walkerton, Ind.
She is survived by her husband, Peter E. Daley; two daughters: Sandra (Mike) Ross of
Walkerton and Karen (Steve) Cole of Knox; four sons: Peter Daley II of Walkerton, John Daley
of Tyner, Randy (Rose) Daley of Grovertown and Ronald (Yvonne) Daley of Grovertown; 22
grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m. (CDT) at Crown Hill cemetery,
Knox. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Starke County Humane Society,
104 W. State Rd. 10, North Judson, IN 46366.
Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Alta E. (Magnuson) Kime
CASSVILLE, MO — Alta E. (Magnuson) Kime, 73, of Cassville, Mo., died Friday, April 18, at her home.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Kime and his friend, Beryl Parrish of Purdy, Mo. And Ricky
Kime of Cassville, Mo.; two daughters, Rhonda Magnuson and her husband, Jeff of Willard, Mo.
And Becky Herr and her husband, Dennis of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Cleo Shidler and her
husband, Bob of LaPaz; four brothers, Carl Magnuson and his wife, Mary of Plymouth, John
Magnuson and his wife, Mary of Sebring, Fla., Ivan Magnuson and his wife Shirley of Plymouth,
and Ralph Magnuson and his wife Treva of Sebring, Fla.; seven grandchildren, one foster son,
Tim Berta Kime of Evansville, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 20, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
Pastor Brad Lowrie conducted the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Cassville.

Sandra L. Landry-Schuh
CULVER — Sandra L. Landry-Schuh, 70, of Culver, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008, at
Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. She was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Harvey, Ill., to
Howard and Mary (Brazier) Hill.
In 1956, she married Wayne Landry. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded
in death by her lifetime companion Noble Weldy.
In 1969, Sandy moved to Bass Lake from Illinois. She also lived in Bremen and Culver. She was
a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a Guiding Light to all who crossed her path. She
was a devout Christian.
Survivors include three daughters: Susan Lamb of Sidney, Iowa, June (Jeffrey) MacDonaldKrieg
of Culver and Lorrie (Todd) Golden of Leesburg; three sons: Wayne (Sandy) Landry Jr. of
Knox, Todd (Laurie) Landry of Silver Lake and Steven E. Landry of Mishawaka; three sisters;
one brother; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne; companion Noble Weldy; one
daughter, Candy Landry-Biddle; four sisters; and one brother.
Services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 7 p.m. at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Burial will be at the Masonic cemetery in Culver. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday
prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

Thelma Harris Boetsma
Thelma Harris Boetsma, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, stepped into
eternity to be home with the Lord Saturday, April 19. She lived with her son and daughter-in-law
in Gilbert, Ariz. She was born Dec. 16, 1923 in Star City, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Fred and
Maude Savage Harris Kneeves who have preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by
husband, Joe Boetsma; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Clyde Craft; brothers: Francis and
Clarence Harris; and sisters: Margie Kreighbaum and Edna Brower.
She is survived by sister, Rena Follmer; children: Larry (Anita) Boetsma, Debra (Allen) Mechling
and Cynthia (Timothy) Decker. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Steven Boetsma and
Erica Partin, Daniel, Stephanie and Isaac Mechling, and Caleb, Kyle, Kirsten and Colson Decker
and five great-grandchildren: Harry and Austin Partin, Sierra and Michael Boetsma, and Gavin Mechling.
Thelma worked in the family re-upholstery and then new furniture business in Culver. She and
her husband of 67 years moved to Hobe Sound, Fla. In 1979. There she volunteered at a Chapel
Crusaders Mission. They moved to Indianapolis in 1999 and went to Gilbert, Ariz. In December
2006. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are entrusted to Bonine-Odom Funeral Home in Culver. Visitation will be Sunday,
April 27 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Kamdin Aiyana Deisch
BREMEN — Kamdin Aiyana Deisch, 4 months, of Bremen, died April 19 at 12: 05 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
She is survived by her parents, Casey and Sundown Deisch; grandparents: Ron and Elaine Brown of Lakeville, Becky Bailey of Bremen and Dave and Fortune Deisch of Nappanee; great-grandparents:
Phyllis Mishler of Nappanee, Frank Deisch of South Bend, Sam and Lorraine Fisher of Lakeville and Louise Stahl of Cunningham, Ky.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at RiverOaks Community Church, Goshen.
Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at the church with burial to follow at Bremen cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Thompson-Lengacher
& Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is in charge of arrangements.

Sister Claudine Magolske
DONALDSON — Sister Claudine Magolske, P.H.J.C., 85, of Donaldson, died April 19 at Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by a sister, Anna Harmon of Falliston, Md.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 23 from 4: 30 to 9 p.m. at the Catherine Casper Home Chapel.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 11 a.m. at the chapel with burial to
follow at Mount Carmel cemetery, Donaldson.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Ann (Zehner) Reynolds
MONTEREY — Elizabeth Ann (Zehner) Reynolds passed away unexpectedly April 19, 2008 at
St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet, Ill.
Beth was born March 26, 1960 in Rochester, Ind. to Don and Ruth (Keller) Zehner of Monterey.
She lived her entire life in the Monterey community.
Beth graduated from Culver Community High School in 1978 and from Indiana State Univ. in
1981. She married Jacob Linn Reynolds on Sept. 22, 1984 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in
Monterey. She was a devoted wife and mother, a wonderful daughter, sister and friend. She
was an active member of St. Anne Church. She was a dedicated employee of Miller’s Merry
Manor in Culver for the past 25 years as the Office Manager.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Jacob Linn Reynolds; her children: Heather, Erik,
Tiffany and Bryce; her parents, Don and Ruth (Keller) Zehner; mother-in-law, Betty Reynolds of
Rochester; brothers: Don Zehner (Pam) of Logansport, Greg Zehner (Mary) of Monterey, August
Zehner (Kathy) of Anderson; and her sister, Sharon (Larry) Yelaska of Channahon, Ill. Also
surviving are her brothers-in-law: Mark Reynolds of Rochester and Dana (Nona) Reynolds of
Lafayette, and sister-in-law, Debbie (Tim) Wilson of Kewanna.
Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clem and Marjorie Keller and August and
Anna Zehner; a nephew, Benjamin Michael Zehner; and her father-in-law, Don Reynolds of Rochester.
Services will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Monterey Thursday, April 24 at 10 a.m.
with Fr. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne’s cemetery, Monterey. Visitation will
be at Bonine-Odom Funeral Home in Culver Wednesday, April 23 from 3 to 8 p.m. with a
Scriptural Wake Service at 7: 30.
A memorial fund has been established at the First National Bank of Monterey to assist in the
educational needs of her children. Contributions can be made to the Beth Reynolds Memorial Fund.

Lawrence Edward "Ed" Bolin
MISHAWAKA — Lawrence Edward “Ed” Bolin, 75, died at his residence on the Sunday, April 20, 2008.
On Dec. 18, 1932 in Mishawaka he was born as the son of Lawrence and Bessie (Becraft) Bolin.
He was preceded in death by his parents. On Sept. 12, 1953 he married Nancy Cather who
preceded him in death on Nov. 27, 1985. On Dec. 28, 1986 in Mishawaka he married Connie
Gooding Cather.
Surviving Ed are his wife Connie; three children: Kim (Neal Corman) Cordill of Chicago, IL, Greg
(Marsha) Bolin of South Bend and Julie (Randy) Joers of Granger; two stepchildren: Chris (Jim)
Scott of West Lafayette and Curt (Kim) Cather of Osceola; 11 grandchildren: Lindsay, Lucas,
Taylor and Corrie Bolin, RJ and Katie Joers, Samantha, Sydney and Brittney Scott and Kirsten
and Kyle Cather; a brother, Ray (Mary Ann) Bolin of Nashville, Ind.; a sister Phylliss (Joe)
Oblinger of South Bend and a cousin Dick Love of Mishawaka.
Ed worked for Kuert Concrete as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 43 years before he retired in
1995. He was a member of Coalbush United Methodist Church, Club 15 in Mishawaka, the Penn
South Fire Department, Retired Operating Engineer’s, Mishawaka Alumni Association and the
American Legion in Osceola. He was also a member of Penn Boosters and Mishawaka Fast
Pitch Softball.
Family and friends may visit Today, Tuesday, April 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Hahn
Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., with
visitation one hour prior in the church, on Wednesday, April 23 in Coalbush United Methodist
Church, Mishawaka with Rev. Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Mishawaka.
Memorial contributions can be to Coalbush United Methodist Church, 15977 Jackson Rd.,
Mishawaka, IN 46544 or to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Memorial

Allen R. Frenger
BOURBON — Allen R. Frenger, 86, of 606 N. Harris St., Bourbon, passed away Sunday, April
20, 2008 in Life Care Center Nursing Home of Rochester.
Allen was born the son of Peter Frenger and Pearl Stump Frenger on Oct. 26, 1921 in the family
home at Bremen. He was a resident of the Bourbon most of his life.
He was employed as a Postal Carrier for the United States Post Office retiring in 1985.
He was married May 4, 1946 to Monna Burcham who survives.
Allen is survived by his wife, Monna of Mandeville, La., his three sons: Peter Frenger of
Rochester, Steve Frenger and Gary (Christine) Frenger, all of Bonanza, Ore.; and his daughter;
Cindi (David) Griffin of Mandeville, La. He also has four grandchildren: Kara and Todd Lemler of
Warsaw, Scott Frenger of Bonanza, Ore., Jennifer Griffin of Ventura, Calif. and Lauren Griffin of
Slidell, La., along with a great-grandson, Jared Lemler. A sister, Mable Frenger Stevens of
Bremen also survives.
Allen was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in multiple theaters.
He was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Post #424, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post
#1162 and 40-8 of Plymouth where he served in multiple positions during his lifetime.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Allen’s life will be held Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. in Deaton-Clemens
Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services, in the Deaton-Clemens
Funeral Home at 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
Military burial rites will be provided by the Bourbon American Legion and Plymouth VFW in his honor.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Deborah E. Millice
KOONTZ LAKE — Deborah E. Millice, 54, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 in her home.
She is survived by her husband, James Millice; son, Jack Moerman of Walkerton; two
granddaughters; her parents, Charles and Gloria Barko of Koontz Lake; sisters: Lisa (Thomas)
Mencke of Homewood, Ill. And Lori Barko of Crestwood, Ill.; and brothers: Jack (Gretchen)
Barko and Robert Barko, all of Orland Park, Ill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. CDT in St. Patrick’s Church of
Walkerton. Burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton. Visitation is Wednesday from 4
to 8 p.m. CDT and Thursday 10 to10: 30 a.m. at Rannells Funeral, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be given to 1st Source Bank toward an education fund for her granddaughters.

Richard M. Simpson
PLYMOUTH – Richard M. Simpson, a Marshall County area resident for the last 15 years, died
of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis at his residence, 11975 11th Rd., Plymouth, at 5: 30 a.m. on
Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was 56 years old.
With all of the qualities of a good man, it was said of Richard that he only improved with age.
Born in South Bend, Ind., on Oct. 12, 1951, Richard was the son of Lawrence J. and Margaret Stombaugh Simpson.
A graduate of New Prairie High School, he earned his B.S. from Indiana University.
On Aug. 12, 1978, in Lydick, Ind., Richard and Doreen K. Thompson were married .
Richard was a manager for Teachers Credit Union for 29 years. He retired in 2008.
An enthusiastic I.U. fan, he enjoyed sports. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending
time with his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his wife and by their three sons. They are: Joshua (Erin) Simpson of
Mishawaka, Jacob Simpson of Nappanee and Justin (Amanda) Simpson of Mentor, Ohio.
A granddaughter, Vayda Simpson of Mentor, Ohio, and two grandsons: Josiah and Locke
Simpson, both of Mishawaka, also survive.
Richard’s mother, Margaret Simpson of New Carlisle, and four sisters and a brother survive as
well. They are sisters: Ardith (Buck) Terry of Springdale, Ariz., Nancy Geist of New Carlisle,
Kathy (Ed) Kinney of Littleton, Colo. and Sally (Rob) Mattasits of New Carlisle; and brother,
Robert (Marlene) Simpson of Mishawaka.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence and a brother-in-law, Ernie Geist.
Friends are invited to celebrate Richard’s life with his family on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 4
to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, after 7 a.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1110 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Richard will be held at 11 a.m. On Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in the
funeral home. The Rev. Paul Baldwin, pastor of River Valley Church, Mishawaka, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials in Richard’s name may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
