Robert J. (Rob) Beck, Jr.

Robert J.(Rob) Beck, Jr., 46, of Milford, Indiana, died on 1/7/2010 at 10:53 am at his residence. He was born on March 12, 1963 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Robert J. Beck, Jr., Milford, passed away very unexpectedly in his home on January 7, 2010, from an apparent heart attack. Rob was born in Warsaw on March 12, 1963, to Sarah Ann and Robert J. Beck, Sr. Throughout his life, he loved auto racing, sports, the Chicago Bears, fantasy football, traveling throughout North and South America, and warm weather and beaches. He will be deeply missed by his mom, grandma, sisters, beloved nieces and nephew, and many friends.

Rob graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1981 and served in the military for a few years until his honorable discharge. Rob worked many years for Gulf Stream in Nappanee, and he rose to the position of purchasing agent. Desiring more freedom to travel and set his own schedule, Rob left Gulf Stream in 2009 to join Hoosier Transport, based in Nappanee, and drive RVs throughout the United States and Canada. In his spare time, he served as the commissioner of one fantasy football league and participated in two leagues.

Rob is survived by his mother, Sarah Ann Beck, Warsaw; his grandmother, Elizabeth Groscost, also of Warsaw; his sisters, Teresa Ann (Jeff) Kane, Carmel, and Christie Beck (Roger Aden), Athens, Ohio; his nieces, Phoebe Elizabeth Kane, Carmel, Brittany Nicole Pangburn, Chelsea Meagan Pangburn, Emmy Grace Beck-Aden, and Eliza Kate Beck-Aden, all of Athens, Ohio; his nephew, Brodie Albert Kane, Carmel, and his many friends from fantasy football and the RV industry. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Groscost, and his treasured canine companion, Dakota. Pastor Tom Ream will conduct the services.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be Monday, January 11, 2010 on 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be at Converse cemetery, Converse, Indiana.

Mary E. Wyckoff

Mary E. Wyckoff, 96, of 1336 Gable Drive Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/8/2010 at 3:40 am at Miller's Merry Manor - Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on December 6, 1913 in Marion, Indiana.

Mary was born to Fred and Edna (Vermillion) Hemmenger. She resided in Kosciusko County, Indiana since 1980 and was formerly a Marion, Indiana resident. She retired in 1968 from RCA Electric in Marion, Indiana after 40 years as a Assembly Technician. She was a member of Winows of Heaven Church, Pierceton, Indiana.

Mary is survived by her loving family including one son, Andy (and spouse Connie)
Wyckoff of Warsaw, Indiana; two sisters Bernice Record of Walton, Indiana and Virginia Hemmenger of Kokomo, Indiana.
In addition, Mary is survived by two grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by two brothers and two sisters.

Pastors Andy and Connie Wyckoff will officate the services.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 10: 00 am. Calling hours will be 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery - Warsaw, Indiana.

Doris "Jean" Brown

Doris "Jean" Brown, 81, of 521 North Colfax Street Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/10/2010 at 12:45 pm at her residence. She was born on October 28, 1928 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Jean was born to the late Fred and Mary Catherine (Schooley) Hoover
She lived in fort Wayne for 30 years then moving back to Warsaw area in October of 1993.
Jean worked for the State Hospital in Fort Wayne as a adult daily living skill coordinator and also a registered language aide then retiring on October 15, 1993
She was a member of the West EEL River Church, Silver Lake, Indiana

Jean is survived by her Sisters: Sue (and spouse Kenneth) Schaaf of Warsaw, Indiana
Sherri (and spouse John) Durham of Leesburg, Indiana
Brothers: Robert Hoover, Norman Hoover of Washington, Indiana and Terry Hoover of Kokomo, Indiana
Nieces: Marcia (and spouse Brent) Hollinger of Warsaw, Indiana, Shannon (and spouse Jeff) Brown of Wabash, Indiana, Heather Lederle of Fort Hood, Texas, Lisa Schele of Peru, Indiana, Teri Lynn McCord of Tennessee.
Nephews: Jeff (and spouse Vicki) Schaaf of Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Pastor Bruce Barlow will conduct the memorial service.

Nancy Virginia Jones, 66, of 1206 Riverwood Ranch Road, Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/11/2010 at 3:16 pm at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on October 12, 1943 in Marion, Indiana.

Nancy was born to Joseph and Patricia (Wimmer) Pfeiffer. She lived most of her life in Warsaw and Leesburg.
She married Stephen A. Jones on April 14, 1962 in Fort Lewis, Washington. She worked as a secretary for Lesco in Leesburg and was also a housewife. She was a member of Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw.

Calling hours will be 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Burial will be at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne at a later date..

Betty Jane Lesh

Betty Jane Lesh, 90, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/12/2010 at 2:00 pm at Grace Village,Winona Lake, In.. She was born on October 17, 1919 in Claypool, Indiana.

Betty was born, October 17, 1919 to Harley and Nerla Mae Hinsey Walters.
She grew up on a farm between Claypool and Silver Lake, the fourth of seven children: Katherine (Long), Maude (Rager), Earl, Betty Jane (Lesh), Robert, Donnabell (Neff), and Richard. After graduation from high school in Akron, she attended beauty school in Warsaw.

Betty taught in beauty schools in Warsaw and South Bend before traveling to Kissimmee, Florida where Richard Arthur Lesh was stationed during WW II. They were married on March 15, 1943. Before Richard was deployed with the US Army Air Forces to the Philippines, they lived in Fresno, California where their only son, Richard Arthur Lesh, Jr. was born. After the war, they settled in Warsaw at 811 East Fort Wayne Street where Betty operated a beauty shop for 60 years.

Betty was a Cub Scout den mother and enjoyed local school sporting events. As a member of the United Trinity Methodist Church in Warsaw since 1946, she taught Sunday School and Bible Study classes, and served as secretary of the board of trustees for 25 years. An avid gardener, Betty loved growing flowers.

Betty is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Jill Sullivan Lesh in Bloomington, Indiana; brother Richard Walters in Osceola, Indiana; grandson Mark Lesh and daughter-in-law Emily Templin Lesh, Denver, Colorado; grandson Douglas Lesh and daughter-in-law Korin Gibson Lesh and great-granddaughter Kira Lesh in Darwin, Australia.
Reverend Andy Martin will conduct the services

The family thanks Betty’s friends and the staff at Grace Village who cared for her so lovingly.

Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, Indiana on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at a later date.

Deborah "Deb" Joan Shilling

Deborah "Deb" Joan Shilling, 61, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/12/2010 at 10:05 pm at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on December 13, 1948 in Lakehurst Naval Base, Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Deb was born to Stanley "Pete" and Arlene (Gerber) Shilling. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, working as a seamstress for Explorer Van, Warsaw. She attended the Warsaw Community Church. Deb also served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1967 thru 1970 and received an honorable discharge.
Deb is survived by 2 sons; Shawn Michael (and wife Melissa Lynn) Shilling, Silver Lake and Joshua Allen (and wife Jessica Lynn) Shilling, Warsaw. 2 Grandchildren; Nevaeh Rose and Draven Marcus Shilling, Warsaw. 4 Sisters; Rita (and husband John) Craig, Warsaw; Deanna (and husband Michael) Ragan, Warsaw; Patti Yarian, Warsaw and Jackie (and husband Bill) Tucker, Warsaw. 3 brothers; Doug (and wife Carol) Shilling, Silver Lake; Rodney (and wife Julie) Shilling, Warsaw and Spencer (and wife Christine) Shilling, Warsaw. She had many nieces and nephews, they loved her and she loved them. Deb is preceded in death by her mother, Arlene (Gerber) Shilling; her father, Stanley "Pete' Shilling and her step mother, Ina (Rule) Shilling.
Her grandchildren were her life, just spending time with them lit up her face with happiness and joy. She was a sweet, loving mother, mother-in-law, sister and grandma. She had her own way of making people smile. She always put everybody first before herself. She loved attending church at Warsaw Community Church and she found happiness going there.

Services will be held at graveside service at Palestine cemetery, Palestine, Indiana on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 pm with Pastor Denny Bollenbacher officiatin. Calling hours will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Friday, January 15, 2010. Burial will be at Palestine cemetery, Palestine, Indiana.

Ruth Constance (Kowalski) Chapleski

Ruth Constance (Kowalski) Chapleski, 90, of 1634 South County Farm Road Warsaw, Indiana, died on 1/15/2010 at 12:25 am at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on June 12, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois.

Ruth was born to Joseph and Marie (Haynie) Kowalski. She lived most of her life in Chesterton, Indiana and worked as a store clerk for 15 years. She married Richard Chapleski on October 29, 1946 in Chicago,, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by 1 Daughter; Teri Jarrette, Warsaw, Indiana

Sister; Fern Loyka, Midway, Arkansas

She is preceded in death by 2 Brothers and her Husband.

Funeral service will be privately held and not open to the public. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.

Paul Leonard Plummer

Paul Leonard Plummer, 90, of 1630 South County Farm Road Warsaw, Indiana and formerly of Papakeechie Lake, died on 1/16/2010 at 11:00 am at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on August 8, 1919 in Wells County, Indiana.

Paul was born to John F. and Emma (Scrogham) Plummer. He lived in Kosciusko County for the past 25 years and was married to Ailene Bell (Squires) Plummer, whom preceded him in death in May of 2005.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private 1st Class with the 9th Armored Infantry. He served in the European Theater - Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe and the Ardennes, receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was also a member of the American Legion

Services will be held at Southpark cemetery, Columbia City, Indiana on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Tom Everett officiating. Burial will be at Southpark cemetery, Columbia City, Indiana.

Larry L. "Tiny" Myers

Larry L. "Tiny" Myers, 72, of 5425 East Washington Road, Pierceton, Indiana, died on 1/18/2010 at 10:34 PM at Parkview Hospital of Ft. Wayne.. He was born on November 15, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Tiny was surrounded by love one's at the time of his death
His mother was the late Cora K. Myers (Redinger).
He graduated from Atwood High School in 1955.
He married Verlie Belle (Spencer) Poe on May 18, 1982
He was a polisher for Othy Inc. (18 years) and retiring from Zimmer after 19 years.
