Mitchell R. Castle, 84, of Columbia City, Indiana, died on 6/17/2010 at 8:38 am at in his residence with his son Ron, by his side.. He was born on April 17, 1927 in Middlecreek, Kentucky.

Mitchell was born to Carew and Nora (Ellen) Castle. He lived in Pierceton most of his life until living in Warsaw for 10 years.
He married Joan Keplinger on March 20, 1953 in Warsaw, she survives. He served in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II.
Mitchell worked as a core maker for Dalton Foundries for 43 years, retiring in 1989. He was a former member of American Legion Post #258, Pierceton and also was a former member and Past President of the American Rose Society, Fort Wayne.
He had a passion for growing Roses and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan as well as listening to the music of the Carter Family. He loved bowling and was a member of several bowling teams as well as playing guitar.
Mitchell is survived by 3 Sons; Ronald (and spouse Pam) Castle, Columbia City, Indiana
Michael Castle, Warsaw, Indiana
Dennis (and spouse Janet) Castle, Pierceton, Indiana
4 Sisters; Haley Shepherd, Gunlock, Kentucky
Helen King, Greenfield, Indiana
Mazie Harris, Sellers Lake, Indiana
Hazel Bradley, Liberty Mills, Indiana
2 Brothers; Carter Castle, Gunlock, Kentucky
Danny Castle, North Manchester, Indiana
4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, a Son, Randy Castle and 2 Brothers, Manus Castle and Von Castle.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Steve Mullen officiating.. Calling hours will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Sunday, June 20, 2010. Burial will be at Hillcrest cemetery, Pierceton with military honors..

Larry D. Popenfoose, 60, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 6/20/2010 at 5:32 PM at his residence. He was born on March 22, 1950 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Larry was born to Paul and Patricia (Paseka) Popenfoose. He lived in Warsaw, Indiana his entire life. Larry was a route carrier for the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette & News Sentinel and The Paper of Milford, Indiana. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by 2 daughters: Tara Prater, Warsaw, IN; Lara Popenfoose, Warsaw, IN; 1 son: Joby(spouse Carla) Popenfoose, Warsaw, IN. He is also survived by his father and stepmother: Paul & Clara Popenfoose of Leesburg, IN; 1 sister Paula Edwards of Leesburg, IN; and 1 brother Kenny (spouse Ann) Popenfoose of Warsaw, IN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Austin Popenfoose, Asia Popenfoose, Kody Popenfoose, Arissa Caudill, Ryan Caudill, Jr., Devin Caudill, Jory Prater, and Madison Prater. Larry was preceded in death by his mother and 1 brother Michael Popenfoose.

Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to service at funeral home. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Burial will be private.

Manila Faye Buckmaster

Manila Faye Buckmaster, 65, of Winona Lake, Indiana, died on 6/21/2010 at 1:00 AM at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Indiana. She was born on August 9, 1944 in Garrett, Kentucky.

Manila was born to Manuel and Susan (Meade) Robertson. She was a resident of Kosciusko County for 20 years. On March 22, 1986 she married Larry E. Buckmaster in Claypool, Indiana. She was a Sanitation Supervisor for Maple Leaf Farms Inc.

She is preceded in death by her parents , 2 sons: Terry Lee Perkins and Norman Eugene Perkins

Josefina A. Rangel, 83, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 6/23/2010 at 4:48 pm at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on April 15, 1927 in Jalisco, Mexico.

Josefina was born to Fransisco and Lydia Aguilar. She was Warsaw, IN. resident since 1977. Josefina was united in marriage to Alfonso S. Rangel in Brownsville, TX. Alfonso preceded her on April 29, 2009.

Ronald "Mick" Lee Vanderpool

Ronald "Mick" Lee Vanderpool, 70, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 6/25/2010 at 2:02 PM at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on December 8, 1939 in Silver Lake, Indiana.

He was born to Fred and Marie (Reffitt) Vanderpool
He graduated from Silver Lake High School, Silver Lake, IN and from International Business College. He was a US Navy veteran serving from December 1957 to April 1962.
Ronald married Dee Tarpley on November 4, 1961 in Richmond California. The marriage was performed by Reverend J.H. Kuykendall.

Ron joined the food industry in 1966 working at Safeway Stores in Orinda, California. He managed A&P; food stores in Warsaw, Indiana and Maumee, Ohio. In 1972 he had the opportunity to move into the world of plastics where he learned plastic compounding, buying, selling and the art of extrusion. Ron was the co-founder of Paragon Medical in Pierceton, Indiana, where he holds several patents. He was instrumental in the development of the plastic case and tray portions of the business. He designed and hands-on directed the building of plastic sheet extrusion line, setting Paragon Medical apart from others in the plastics manufacturing industry. Ron retired from Paragon Medical in 1999.

Ron's greatest love was just being with God, his family and friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an accomplished morel mushroom hunter, a fisherman, and a gardener. He tutored his children and grandchildren in these activities.
He also enjoyed game hunting with his friends.
Ron attended Warsaw Community Church in Warsaw.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Warsaw, The American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, Indiana, and a past member of The Lions Club of Leesburg, Indiana.

Survivors are his wife Dee Vanderpool of Warsaw, Indiana
3 daughters Robbie Kiser of Warsaw, Kim (and spouse Troy) Furnivall of Warsaw,
Jennie Vanderpool of Indianapolis, IN
1 son Mike (and spouse Lucia) Vanderpool of Warsaw.
1 sister Bonnie (and spouse Keith)Evans of Warsaw.
2 brothers Dick (and spouse Phyllis) Vanderpool of Columbus, Ohio and Jim (and spouse Lenni) Vanderpool of The Villages, Florida.
7 grandchildren Heather Kissell, Hilary and Dylan Kiser, Trent, Katie, Sara and Gabe Furnivall and
1 great grandson Spencer Walter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister Billie Hill.

Services will be conducted by Pastor Denny Wilson.

Myles R. Wolfe, 55, of Leesburg, Indiana, died on 6/27/2010 at 10:04 am at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on December 25, 1954 in Kosciusko County, Indiana.

Rick was born to Myles R. and Jane E. (Metzger) Wolfe. He was a longtime Kosciusko County, IN. resident and formerly resided in Gilbert, AZ..

On July 6, 2002 he was united in marriage to Darnell Byers in Winona Lake, IN.. Rick was a Master Electrician and owner of Myles Electric. In addition, he was employed by Lakeland Loving Care Healthcare of Milford as the Director of Maintenance. Rick was an avid shuffleboard player and a Shuffleboard League participant at The Keg in Leesburg, IN..

Rick is survived by his loving family including his wife Darnell Wolfe of Leesburg, IN.; three sons Bryan Wolfe of Columbia City, IN., Jason (spouse Melissa) Wolfe of South Whitley, IN., Adam (spouse Shelly) Wolfe of Jacksonville, FL.; one daughter Ashley Wolfe of Jacksonville, FL.; two brothers Steve Wolfe of Wabash, IN., John Wolfe of Muncie, IN.; on sister Marsha (spouse Chris) Schrader of Larwill, IN.; seven grandchildren including Skyler Grimme, Trinity Grimme, Shaelyn Grimme, Braiden Wolfe, Bailey Wolfe, Roary Wolfe, and Ryan Flamme; one step-daughter Michelle Moran and one step-son Nathon Moran of Warsaw, IN..

Anita J. Baugher, 71, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 6/28/2010 at 9:41 am at her residence. She was born on October 14, 1938 in Warsaw, Indiana.

Anita was born to Charles and Lucile (Regenos) Outcelt. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, Indiana.
She married Kenneth Baugher on December 29, 1957 in Pierceton, Indiana. Anita worked with her husband on the family farm and also worked for Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, as a Qualified
Medication Aide.
She attended Warsaw Missionary Church. She completed the 5k Race for the D.A.R.E. Program twice and loved horses, especially her horse "Mac" and her Grandkids.
