Gerald Lee Bright
Gerald Lee Bright, 83, Elwood, died March 9, 2013 at St.Vincent Mercy Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born June 30, 1929 in Summitville, to Orval and Opal Bright.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a self employed contractor most of his life and the preacher at the Jonesboro House of Prayer.
He married Marie Fleenor Feb. 14, 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; three stepchildren, Johnny Rice, Robert Rice and Linda Singer; three sisters and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orval Bright; and his mother, Opal Bright.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Dunnichay Funeral Home with the Rev. Denton Howard officiating. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Jonesboro House of Prayer.

Olive Mae McDaniel
TIPTON – Olive Mae McDaniel, 93, Tipton, passed away March 8, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton.
Olive was born June 17, 1919 to Carl and Mary Jane (LeVerve) Williams.
On July 23, 1938, Olive married Harvey Warren McDaniel. He passed away Dec. 21, 1965.
She retired as a cook from Sherrills Restaurant in 2000 after 45 years.
Olive is survived by her children, Nancy (Charlie) Law of Hamilton County, Glenda (David) Cubel of Hamilton County, Patty Mattingly of Marion County, Mary (Tim) Overdorf) Hayes of Tipton County, Betty (Morris) Butcher of Clinton County, Harvey (Diane) McDaniel of Madison County, Dale (Jenny) McDaniel of Tipton County and Lisa (Jeff) Jones of Tipton County. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Neal Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey Warren; and siblings, Carlton, Lloyd, Gwen and Marjorie.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Rex Dunning officiating. Interment will be in Bacon Cemetery in rural Clinton County.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Richard Lee Pierce
Richard Lee Pierce, 58, Chesterfield, died March 9, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1954 to Arlin and Bobbie (Verble) Pierce in Cookeville, Tenn.
He married Cynthia Sumner Nov. 18, 1973.
He worked for General Motors until he retired in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia; his children, Jason Pierce of Fishers, Troy Pierce of Chesterfield, Stacy Pierce of Frankton and Amber Liles of Anderson; several grandchildren; and a sister, Regina Mabry of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arlin Pierce; and his mother, Bobbie (Verble) Pierce.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Elsten officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P & I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.

Thomas L. Draper
ALEXANDRIA – Thomas L. “Tom” Draper, 86, Alexandria, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Westminster Village in Muncie after an extended illness.
He was born March 12, 1926 in Alexandria, the son of Joseph B. and Oma (Hurst) Draper.
He resided in Alexandria all his lifetime in the home where he was born.
Tom farmed all his life in Monroe Township.
He was a member of the Madison County Farm Bureau.
He was an avid collector of Indian arrowheads and memorabilia and enjoyed reading historical non-fiction.
Survivors include a brother, J. Max (Nancy) Draper of Alexandria; nieces and nephews, Darlene Draper, Phil Draper, Teresa (Bill) Petty, and “Ike” (Susan) Wilson, all of Alexandria; great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon (Heather) Petty, Brian (Brittany) Petty, Joe Draper, and Kylie (Eddie) Ryan, all of Alexandria; and Jake (Leslie) Wilson of Lagrange; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Joey Ryan, Bryden Petty and Breeleigh Petty.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1970; his mother in 1976; and a niece, Anita Draper Wilson in 1999.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria, with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Alexandria.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alexandria-Monroe Township Historical Society through the funeral home.

Emert E. Nelson
Emert Edward Nelson, 101, of Englewood, Fla. died March 11, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.
He was born March 3, 1912 in Viborg, S.D., to Chris and Anna (Peterson) Nelson.
He was self employed and owned the Nelson Brake & Wheel Alignment in Detroit, Mich. He had been retired for several years.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II, stationed in Hawaii. He was a member of the Englewood, Fla. Elks Lodge.
Survivors include two stepsons, Jerry Dunnichay of Elwood and Jim Dunnichay of Greenfield; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Dunnichay Nelson; sisters, Louella Nelson and Lillian Nelson and brothers, Kermit Nelson and Vigo Nelson.
Private graveside services will be held in Englewood, Fla.
Arrangements were entrusted to Dunnichay Funeral Home.

Frances F. (Jamison) Wimmer-Willhite
RIGDON – Frances F. (Jamison) Wimmer-Willhite, 66 of the Rigdon community north of Elwood, died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Marion General Hospital in Marion following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 29, 1946 in Elwood, the daughter of Elbert L. and Florence E. (Duncan) Jamison.
She retired in 2012 from King Systems Co. in Noblesville after more than 26 years of service in the research and development department. She also formerly worked at RCA Corporation and Fleet Supply in Marion. She formerly attended the Point Isabelle United Methodist Church and had lived in Rigdon her entire life. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, watching classic TV shows, making homemade noodles and especially enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren who she adored.
Frances was also a very giving person and a friend to everyone, She always had a smile on her face. Frances is survived by three daughters, April M. (Mark) Beattie of Fairmount, June E. (Mark) Timmons of Frankfort and Amanda Willhite of Fairmount; a sister, Carolyn (Pete) Barton of Rigdon; a brother, Jack (Janie) Jamison of Rigdon; six grandchildren, Wesley Beattie, Chad Timmons, Matthew Timmons, Jeffery Willhite, Stephen Dove, and Sydney Nelson; former spouses, Larry Wimmer and Stephen Willhite; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Beverly Webb and Marilyn Kitterman; and a brother, Ronnie Jamison. A celebration of life memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rev. Joe Seaborn officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the memorial service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Forrestville Cemetery in Summitville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Grant County Humane Society, the Upland Boy Scout Troop #427 or the American Lung Association.

Keith W. Kaiser
CICERO – Keith W. Kaiser, 83, of Cicero, IN died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home with his family at his side. He was born Feb. 22, 1930 at Arcadia, to Donald and Nellie (Lowe) Kaiser. He attended Jackson Central High School. He retired from Delco Remy at Anderson. He was a member of Cicero American Legion. He married Betty Jean (Mayfield) Kaiser on Sept. 16, 1949. She survives him. Also surviving are a son, Steven Kaiser of Kokomo; daughters, Diana Brown of Atlanta and Tammy Kaiser of Cicero; brothers, Jim Kaiser of Arcadia and Carl Kaiser of Montana; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Bill and John Kaiser. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Scott Miller officiating. Burial will occur Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Allen Ralph Adkinson
SHARPSVILLE – Allen Ralph Adkinson, 70, Sharpsville, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Golden Living in Kokomo. He was born in Kokomo on Oct. 28, 1942, the son of Ralph and Dorotha (McFarland) Adkinson. He attended Sharpsville High School and retired from Delco.
He is survived by a son, Alistair Adkinson of New Orleans, La.; one granddaughter; a sister, Maryann Smith of Tipton; and a brother, Kevin Adkinson of Sharpsville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will gather from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Boyer Funeral Home in Sharpsville with a funeral at 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
