Susan E. Holbrook
PLYMOUTH — Susan “Susie” E. Holbrook, 60, of 16155 West 6th Road, Plymouth, passed
away at 4:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at the Hospice House in South Bend.

Susie was born Dec. 14, 1946 in Plymouth, to Harry and C. Lucille (Muffley) Rhoades. She was
employed in the quality control department at B.P.C. in Plymouth and had been a resident of the
Marshall County area all her life. Susie was a big NASCAR fan.

Susie is survived by her daughters: Ronda and Duane Wallace of Holcombe, Wis. And Teresa
Holbrook of Plymouth; her sister, Linda Isley of Plymouth; her brother, Steve Rhoades of Vista,
Calif.; seven grandchildren: Kayla M. Wallace and Jason Wallace both of Holcombe, Wis., Robin
L. Riffey of Culver, Ashley M. Wallace of Holcombe, Wis., James R. Riffey of Culver and Randi
L. Schoolman and Tracy P. Schoolman both of Plymouth. Susie was preceded in death by her
parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home,
with Pastor Keith Isley officiating. Cremation will follow.

A time of visiting and sharing memories with Susie’s family will be Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, from 3
to 7 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative
Care, Inc., 112 South Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563.

Robert W. Keller
PLYMOUTH – Robert W. “Bob” Keller, 73, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 in Miller’s
Merry Manor, Plymouth.

He is survived by daughters: Toni and Terry Bergel of Oaklawn, Ill. And Grace and Tim Beal of
Wheatfield; sons: Phil and Dawn Caruso of Demotte, Rick and Dee Caruso of Lemott, Ill. And
Joe Caruso of Gary; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Sept.10 in the funeral home.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Center for Hospice and
Palliative Care.

Joseph Stanley Mack
LAKEVILLE — Joseph Stanley Mack, 82, of Lakeville, died at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 in
his home.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; a daughter, Jeanne (Eric) Renken of Niles, Mich.; sons:
Jeffery, Stanley and Greg Mack, all of Lakeville; and two granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S.
Michigan St., Lakeville. Cremation will take place. Friends may visit with the family one-hour prior
to the services in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Ct.,
South Bend, IN 46637 or the Alzheimer’s Services, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN
46617.

Clara Mast-Moorhouse
WARSAW — Clara Mast-Moorhouse, 100, of Warsaw, formerly of Plymouth, died Wednesday,
Sept. 5, 2007 at Warsaw Meadows.

She is survived by a son, Richard N. (Lualhati) Mast of Villa Park, Ill.; five grandchildren and
several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family services will be held.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Jeffrey Reynolds
PLYMOUTH — Jeffrey Reynolds, 68, of Plymouth, died at his residence on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007
at 5:55 p.m.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Catherine Marie Jones of Bremen; sons: Randy
(Jennifer) Reynolds of Plymouth, Tony (Lisa) Reynolds of Gladwin, Mich. And Steve Reynolds of
Plymouth; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Juanita (Hobert) Denny of
Broughtontown, Ky. And Joyce (Junior) Taylor of Eubank, Ky.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Burial
will follow at the Bremen cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at the
funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, Inc. (National City Bank Bldg.,
310 W. McKinley, Suite 340, Mishawaka, IN 46545.)

Dorland C. Baker
PLYMOUTH — Dorland C. Baker, 84, died on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at Sherman Hospital in
Elgin, Ill. He was an 82-year resident of Plymouth before recently relocating to Sun City in
Huntley, Ill. With his wife, Marie.

Born in Plymouth on Nov. 5, 1922, Dorland was the son of Harrison and Lola Baker.

After graduating from Plymouth High School, Dorland served in World War II in the Army Air
Corps in the Burma/India/China theatre.

On Jan. 31, 1948, Dorland was married to Marie at St. Clement’s Catholic Church in Chicago.

Dorland was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee.

Dorland leaves his loving family including his wife, Marie, his two sons: David Baker (and David’s
wife Terry) of Algonquin, Ill. And Mike Baker of Park City, Utah, along with three granddaughters
and one grandson (Shannon, Katie, Alison and Josh). His two brothers (Dale and Wayne)
preceded him in death.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the New Oak Hill cemetery chapel on Wednesday,
Sept. 12 between noon and 1 p.m. Family services will be held immediately thereafter.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, assisted the family with the arrangements.

Memorial Contributions in Dorland’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

Delmar L. "Jr." Carothers
BREMEN — Delmar L. "Jr." Carothers, 84, of Bremen, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Bremen
Health Care Center.

He is survived by one daughter, Kay Sprague of Bremen; one son, Rickey "Rick" and Rhonda
Carothers of Bremen; five sisters, Mildred Lind of South Bend, Connie and James Marshall of
Bremen, Geneva and James McAffee of Plymouth, Janice Beane of Bremen, Joy and Paul
Replogle of Bremen; four brothers, Vernon Carothers of Bremen; Noble and Helen Carothers of
Bremen, Bill and Shirley Carothers of Bremen and Jack and Mary Carothers of Lakeville; eight
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.

Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. At the funeral home with Pastor Gail Law
officiating.

Burial will be at Bremen cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of American Diabetes Association.

Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is in charge of arrangements.

Jack Richard Eley
BLUFFTON — Jack Richard Eley, 82, of Bluffton, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at
Christian Care Retirement Community.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters: Cheryllee (Jerry) Flack of Bluffton, Janet Kay
(Dennis) Hatfield of Magnolia, Texas and Terri Lynn (Richard) Wahl of Pandora, Ohio; seven
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Bluffton.
Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and is one hour prior to service at the church.
Burial will be at Elm Grove cemetery. Military graveside honors will be performed by American
Legion Post 111 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to the Gideons or the Wells County YMCA.

Dollie M. Hepler
HEBRON — Dollie M. Hepler, 84, of 14770 Hancock St., Hebron, passed away at 4:10 a.m. on
Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Saint Anthony Hospital Hospice House in Crown Point.

Dollie was born on Feb. 3, 1923, in South Bend, to Russell and Iris (Stillson) Kirkley. Dollie
married Harry Hepler on June 23, 1946, in Plymouth. Together they raised their two daughters.
Harry precedes Dollie in death.

Dollie was a member of the North Salem Church of God.

Dollie is survived by her daughters: Sarah and Leland Kyle of Hebron and Peg and Bob Miller of
Kansasville, Wis.; her sisters: Joan Follin of Michigan City and Nancy Mast of Plymouth. Also
surviving are six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dollie will be held at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at the North
Salem Church of God, 13263 4th Rd., Plymouth, IN 46563, with the Rev. Darrell Cardwell
officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth.

A time of visiting with Dollie's family, will be at the North Salem Church of God, from noon until
the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. EDT

The Hepler family requests that memorial contributions, in Dollie's name, be given to the North
Salem Church of God or to Saint Anthony Hospital Hospice House, 203 Francisco Drive, Crown
Point, IN, 46301.

Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth, IN, 46563, is handling the
arrangements.

Elnora M. Soales
BREMEN — Elnora M. Soales, 77, of Bremen, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial
Hospital of South Bend.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Bremen; two daughters, Donna (and fiance, Doug
Costas) Soales of Las Vegas, Nev. And Jane (Leroy) Reeder of Edwardsburg, Mich.; one son,
Keith (Gloria) Soales of LaPorte; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister,
Marilyn (Wyman) Hostetler of Walkerton; and two brothers, Howard (June) Stuntz of Bremen
and Hayward Stuntz of Plymouth.

Visitation was from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.

Services are Monday at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 302 W. Plymouth St.,
Bremen, with the Rev. Kevin T. Miller officiating.

Burial will be at Bremen cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.

The Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is in charge of arrangements.
