ALEXANDRIA - Mary Ann and Sara Jo Stevens, infant twin daughters of Sandy J. Stevens and Tim L. Collins, of Alexandria, died at birth July 30, 2004, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
Other survivors include a brother, Traver James; grandparents, Debora and John Anderson; and aunts, uncles, stepbrothers and stepsisters.
Private graveside services will be held at Park View Cemetery i n Alexandria.
Noffze Funeral Home in Alexandria is handling arrangements.

David A. Tunnell
David A. Tunnell, 34, Building Commissioner for the City of Elwood, died Aug. 2, 2004, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.
Born Dec. 6, 1969, in Elwood, he was a son of Ralph E. and Emma (Riddle) Tunnell.
He married Amie Morrow March 26, 1994.
He was a 1988 graduate of Elwood Community High School where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. He played basketball at Paducah College in Kentucky. He also played semi pro football for the Madison County Chiefs and the Indiana Tornadoes.
He was assistant football coach for the Elwood Community High School football team and coached the eighth grade boys basketball team.
He was active in the Elwood Youth football and baseball programs.
David is survived by his wife, Amie; three sons, Jaylen Tunnell, Jackson Tunnell and Jarren Tunnell, all at home; his mother, Emma Tunnell of Elwood; in-laws, Dave and Debbie Morrow of Elwood; two sisters, Lisa Pratt of Elwood and Angie Tunnell of Anderson; sister-in-law, Angie Overdorf of Elwood, uncle, Charles and Nedra Tunnell; aunt, Marcella Jones; nieces, Elizabeth Overdorf, Tifaney Tumulty and Kira Tunnell; nephews, Jordan Overdorf, Draven Pratt and Cedric Tunnell.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Frank H. and Edna Tunnell and uncle, Bill Tunnell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Dunnichay Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established for Amie and David's children and contributions may be made through the funeral home or the Madison County Federal Credit Union.

Barbara J. Elsten
Barbara J. (Marcrum) Elsten, 51, of Frankton, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at her home in Frankton, after an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 22, 1954, in Elwood, to Herman and Nellie (Perry) Marcrum.
She married Doug Elsten Sr. Dec. 12, 1969. They were married for 35 years.
She had worked at Emka Corporation in Elwood and Cerden & Son in Frankton.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the W.I.B.C. Bowling Association.
Mrs. Elsten loved her children and grandchildren, her family and friends. She loved camping, bowling and was an avid stuffed monkey collector. She was the voice in her family and was a true fighter with her illness. She never gave up.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Elsten Sr.; a daughter, Dana Elsten Purkey of Frankton; two sons, Doug Wayne and wife, Sara Elsten Jr. of Frankton and Danny Ray Elsten of Frankton; two sisters, Carol and husband, Sam Anderson of Greenville, Ohio and Melendia and husband, David Beeman of Elwood; two brothers, George and wife, Sadye Marcrum of Sevierville, Tenn. and Roy and wife, Barbara Marcrum of Elwood; seven grandchildren, Bryant, Raechel, Ashlee, Cherisa, Dougie III, Casandra and Jordan; special friend, Michelle House of Frankton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Marcrum and son-in-law, Greg Purkey.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with her nephew, the Rev. Gary Elsten officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Remington-Pitcock
Virginia L. “Jenny” Remington-Pitcock, 76, Orestes, died Feb. 8, 2006, at the Alexandria Conval-escent Center in Alexandria, after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Delaware County, the daughter of Ollie and Marcella (Koons) Garner.
She retired in 1991 from General Tire after 25 years of service where she worked in production.
She was a member of the Alexandria Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Joe and wife, Susie Remington of Alex-andria; a daughter, Mary Kathryn “Kitty” Remington of Orestes; a brother, Gene “Pud” and Pat Smith of Dunkirk; two sisters, Mary Keihn of Muncie and Frances Ellis of Muncie; six grandchildren, Tammy and husband, Don Alexander, Ellie and husband, Tim Merrill, Elton and wife, Amy Hines, Jerry and wife, Brianne Hines, Marcie and husband, Scott George and Ande and husband, Tim Harpel; nine great-grandchildren, Devon Reis-miller, Vanessa Reismiller, Mallory Gillard, Dylan Alexander, Jasmine George, Eric George, Austen Ellis, Trever Harpel and Zoey Hines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Willis Remington, whom she married April 20, 1948 and who died Nov. 6, 1965; her second husband, Harley Pitcock, whom she married in 1970 and who died Sept. 20, 1994; and a sister, Ione Davis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.;
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.

Howard E. Pyle
SUMMITVILLE – Howard E. Pyle, 88, of Summitville, died Feb. 7, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 5, 1917, in Summitville, he was the son of Charles E. and Elsie (Bramel) Pyle.
He was employed at the former Aladdin Industries in Alexandria for 16 years. He then was employed at Delco Remy in Anderson as a toolmaker for 30 years, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joan (Crull) Pyle, whom he married Aug. 31, 1940; a daughter, Margaret Blakely of Summitville; a son, Steve Pyle of Jonesboro; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vera Kean and a brother, Johnie Pyle.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Owens-Noffze Funeral Home in Summitville, with Pastor Gary McCaslin officiating. Burial will be in Vinson Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Buren Township, Summitville Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 397, Summitville, Ind. 46070 or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Jack B. Wood
Jack B. Wood, 73, of Elwood, died Feb. 8, 2006, at Community Hospital in Anderson after a short, but courageous battle against cancer.
He was born March 18, 1932, in Mecklenburg County, N.C. Jack was the son of the late Ruby (Brown) and Frank Butler Wood, and was raised in Charleston, S.C.
He married the former Joyce VanNess Sept. 5, 1953. She survives.
Jack retired from General Motors in Marion in 1993 after 35 years of employment.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 996, the Elks Lodge and the Frankton Wesleyan Church.
Jack, an avid bowler, participated in the Wednesday Night Men’s League at Wells Lanes.
He was also an Air Force Veteran and since retirement was self-employed as a locksmith.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Ann Wood of Elwood; two daughters, Cathy and husband, Ray Davidson of Elwood and Brenda and husband, Rick Mollenkopf of Pendleton; grandchildren, Clint Davidson of Elwood, Corey Betz of Bloomington, Cheyenne Davidson of Evansville, and Alicia Betz of Indianapolis; two stepgrandchildren, Alicia Mollen-kopf and Josh Mollenkopf of Pendleton; three sisters, Yvette Acuff of Hilton Head, S.C., Bontae Wood of South Carolina and Desiree Jordan of South Carolina; and three brothers, William Wood of Texas, Robert Wood of South Carolina and Rick Wood of South Carolina.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kyle Davidson; brothers, Al, Ripon and Frank Wood; and a sister, Elizabeth Wood.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Summit officiating. Entombment will be at the Elwood City Cemetery Mausoleum, where military rites will be conducted by the Elwood V.F.W.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made to the Frankton Wesleyan Church or to the Madison County Cancer Center through the funeral home

Margery A. Weeg
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Margery A. Weeg, Arlington Heights, Ill., and formerly of Elwood, died Jan. 16, 2006.
She was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Monticello, to Elwood and Kathryn (Myers) Coats.
She graduated in 1945 from Elwood High School.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Melvin G. Weeg; three sons, Matthew Weeg of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Mark Weeg and Luke Weeg of Arlington Heights, Ill.; a sister, Arlene Everling of Greentown; a brother, Richard Coats of Moss Point, Miss.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Jan. 21, 2006, in Arlington Heights.

Thomas Robert Veith
CICERO – Thomas Robert Veith, 60, Cicero, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
Born June 17, 1945 in South Bend, he was the son of Robert H. and Helen Marie (Ruppert) Veith.
He was a graduate of South Bend Central High School Class of 1964.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict followed by service in the Air Force Reserves.
He had worked for Anacomp Company at Indianapolis. He once was owner of Cicero’s Do-It Center and was currently employed at Same Day Courier Company at Carmel.
He is survived by a son, James Courtland Veith of Granger; a brother, Robert H. Veith II of Indianapolis; a sister, Judie Apt of Rochester; one grandson; step-children, Brian Dickover and Chris Dickover, both of Noblesville; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel. Scott Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.
