Stanley W. Handschu
MARION — Stanley W. Handschu, 69, of Marion, died at 5:39 p.m. on Monday, March 12 at
Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Warner) Handschu; son, Dan Handschu of Indianapolis;
sister, Saybra Hoag (fiance Bill Kudrna) of Janesville, Wis.; brother, Steven Handschu (fiancee
Sue Rouch) of Kewanna; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dell and Marian Kepler of
Deltona, Fla., David and Katherine Warner of Cleveland, Ga. and Arthur Lamoin and Jean
Banks of Reston, Va.
Visitation is Friday, March 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, Marion, and one
hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at Sunnycrest United Methodist Church, Marion.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.

IN 46952; the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 2768 W. Avon Ave., Marion, IN 46952; or

Neil Patrick Moyer
PLYMOUTH - Neil Patrick Moyer, 49, a lifetime Plymouth area resident, died, following medical
problems, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, at 11:08 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2007.
Neil was born in Plymouth, the son of Robert Lee and Luella M. Zehner Moyer, on June 26, 1957
He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1975.
He had worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Neil loved classic cars, especially of the vintage of the year he was born, 1957.
He is survived by his mother, Luella, Plymouth, and a son, Patrick Moyer, Culver, and a
grandson, Jayden Moyer, Star City.
Two sisters and two brothers also survive. They are: Yvonne and Gerald Quint and Diane
Johnson, all of Plymouth. His brothers are: Jim Moyer, also of Plymouth, and Doug Moyer,
Stoughton, Wis.
His father, Robert, preceded Neil in death.
Friends will be welcomed by Neil’s family on Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Neil will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007, in the funeral
home. The Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Neil’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Association.
Ilo Clark
ETNA GREEN — Ilo Clark, 94, of Etna Green, died at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, March 16 in Mason
Health Care Facility of Warsaw.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Nancy and Robert Hammon of San Marcus, Texas and a
sister-in-law, Mabel Yazel Baney of Florida.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to the time of services on Tuesday at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral
Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Bollenbacher officiating.
Burial will be at Etna Green cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Etna Green Church of Christ in her memory.
Eliza Jane Miller
GROVERTOWN — Eliza Jane Miller, 88, of Grovertown, died Friday, March 16 at Starke
Memorial Hospital, Knox.
She is survived by five sons: Homer and Pam Miller, Arnie Miller and Richard Miller, all of
Grovertown; Raymond and Trella Miller of Salyersville, Ky. and Lee and Angie Miller of Bremen;
one daughter: Rita and Butch Mullins of Grovertown; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren
and step-sons: Lester Miller and John Miller, both of Jackson, Ky.
Visitation is at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Delong Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., EST.
There will be a prayer service Monday at 7 p.m. at the church.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m., EST at the church. with Rev. Floyd Allen officiating.
Burial will be at Fletcher cemetery, Hamlet.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Linda Helene Rapp
Linda Helene Rapp, 64, of Kokomo, died at 7:50 a.m. on Friday, March 16 at Saint Vincent
Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1942 in Bourbon to George F. and Helene (Linn) Reichert. On April
29, 1962 in Bourbon she married
David L. Rapp, who survives. She graduated from Bourbon
High School in 1960. She also attended Indiana University and graduated from Indiana Business
College in Kokomo. For 28 years she worked at the Kokomo High School bookstore and also
sold Avon for many years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kokomo, and participated in Mary Martha Circle at
the church. She also played in a Euchre Club. She enjoyed doing charity work by sewing lap
quilts and donating them to area nursing homes and putting together gift bags for the Mental
Health Associaton in Kokomo. She also enjoyed reading, crafts and attending her
grandchildren's sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughters: Kalene (Dave) Skiles of Kokomo and Krista
(Don) Spall of Kokomo; four grandchildren: Lee and Evan Skiles, and Garrett and Shelby Spall,
all of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ron Reichert.
Visitation is Tuesday, March 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400
S. Webster St., Kokomo. Funeral services are Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at the mortuary
with Pastor Paul Martin officiating. Burial will be at Albright cemetery, Kokomo. Memorials may
be made to the donor's choice.
Robert E. Reese
BREMEN — Robert E. Reese, 81, died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, March 16, in Community Hospital
of Bremen.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Marshall; son, Jeffery Reese of Bremen; daughters, Candiese
(Bob) Walls and Rebecca (Jim) Thompson, both of Syracuse, and Jill Greene (partner, Frank
Rupp) of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Reese of
Plymouth and Bill (Martha) Reese of Bremen; and two sisters, Jane Ringo of Bremen and Joyce
Manning of Plymouth.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 20.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Chuck Krieg
officiating. Burial will be at Bremen cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family of Robert E. Reese or to the Bremen Community Hospital.
Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
George W Badiac
ELKHART — George W. Badiac, 72, of Elkhart, died on Saturday, March 17 at Elkhart General
Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine (Yates) Badiac; daughters: Bambi of Denver, Colo. And
Robin (Jerry) Clancy of Newark, Ill.; sons: Grant Nash of Benton Harbor, Mich. And Greg
(Connie) Nash of Wakarusa; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place with memorial services at a later date.
Burial will be at a later date at Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, is in charge of the arrangements.
R. Kent Bolton
FORT WAYNE — R. Kent Bolton, 75, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, March 17 at home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bolton of Fort Wayne; son, Matthew (Karen) Bolton of
Zionsville; brother, George Bolton of Lawton, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is Tuesday, March 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home,
Fort Wayne.
Funeral services are Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
A masonic graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Bremen cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Dorothy Freet
GROVERTOWN — Dorothy Freet, 72, of Grovertown, died on Saturday, March 17 at home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Freet; daughter, Valarie Kotras Barnett of Reynolds
Station, Ky.; son, Kenneth Kotras of Knox; stepsons: Robert Freet Jr. of Rochester and Mark
Freet of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. CDT until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the
Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Burial will be at Fletcher cemetery.

Mary Agnes VanGelder
SOUTH BEND — Mary Agnes van Gelder, 86, of South Bend, died on Saturday, March 17 at
Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend.
She is survived by four sons: Jan (Diane) van Gelder of Dennison, Texas, James (Ann) van
Gelder of Bremen, Terry van Gelder of Portland, Ore. And Frank (Kate) van Gelder of Tacoma,
Wash.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Tanguay of
Bridgeport, Conn.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 21 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic’s Catholic
Church in Bremen.
Burial will be at the Bremen cemetery.
Clara T. Baker
PLYMOUTH — Clara T. Baker, a lifetime Marshall County resident, died unexpectedly at 5:35
a.m. of natural causes on Sunday, March 18, 2007, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center,
Plymouth. She was 93 years old.
Clara, the daughter of Fredrick and Sadie Rieken Huge, was born in White County, Ind., on
Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 1913.
She was a 1931 grade of West High School.
In her parents’ home in West Twp., on the 21st of May, 1933, Clara became the bride of Delbert
R. Baker. Delbert, following a week shy of 65 years of marriage, died on April 2, 1998.
A homemaker, Clara helped her husband on their farm and did housekeeping for others. She
enjoying sewing and gardening.
A member of the Shiloh Wesleyan Church, Plymouth, Clara had taught Sunday School for 20
years and she was very active in the Mission Society of the Church.
She is survived by two beloved sons and daughters and their spouses. They are: Harold W. and
Josephine Baker, Plymouth, Keith M. and Ines Baker, Buchanan, Mich., Dorothy and Gilbert
Berrier, Bremen and Jeanette and Robert Vermillion, Lakeville.
Ten grandchildren also survive along with two step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A brother and sister-in-law, Paul S. and Norene Huge and a sister, Mabel Musser, all of
Monticello, survive as well.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters: Dorothy Berger,
Edna E. Cleveland and Louise Shively. Two brothers have also died: Fred Huge and August Huge.
Friends are invited to come and celebrate the life of Clara Baker with her family from 4 to 8 p.m.
on Thursday, March 22, 2007 and continuing after 7 a.m. on Friday, in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, and at the church on Friday, one hour prior to
services.
Funeral services for Clara will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Shiloh
Wesleyan Church, 10532 4B at King Rd., Plymouth. The Rev. John Perkinson, pastor of the
church, will officiate.
Interment will be in the Bremen cemetery, Bremen.
Memorial gifts in Clara’s memory may be made to the Shiloh Wesleyan Church.
