Zane S. Triplet
BREMEN — Zane S. Triplet, 17, residing in Bremen, died at 1:39 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 at
Community Hospital of Bremen from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He is survived by his parents, Tony and Sherri Triplet; brother, Zachary S. Triplet; maternal
grandparents, Dale and Marilyn Dutoi; and paternal grandparents, Charles F. and Judy Triplet
Jr.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12 in the gymnasium at the LaVille Jr.-Sr. High
School, Lakeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral of St.
Matthew, South Bend. Burial will follow at Lambs Settlement cemetery.

Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, is assisting with funeral arrangements.

Buford Morris Hoover
Buford Morris Hoover, 85, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Miller’s Merry Manor. He was born
March 18, 1922 at Kansas, Mo. to Buford and Opal (Morris) Hoover. On May 7, 1944 in
Valparaiso, he married Marilyn Miller, who preceded him in death in 1991. On Aug. 12, 1993 in
Lake Tahoe, Calif., he married Jean Ginder Peterson.

Buford was a lab technician for the City of Long Beach, Calif. retiring in 1984. From 1993-2003,
he divided his time between California and Indiana. Since 2003 Warsaw has been his
permanent residence. He was a veteran of the Navy serving as a Pharmacy Mate in WWII.

He was Active in SPEBSQSA (Barbershop Chorus and Quartets) for 47 years in Gary, Long
Beach, Calif. and Hemet, Calif. In his later years, he was part of the Senior Melloaires Group in
Warsaw. He was a member of The United Methodist Church in Sun City, Calif. He was also an
avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Hoover; son, James Terry (Macre) Hoover of Sun City, Calif.;
daughter, Mary L. (Michael) Lambert of Walla Walla, Wash.; two stepdaughters: Lynn (Paul)
Keresztes of St. Cloud, Fla. and Teri Cummings of Marietta, Ga.; one grandson; one
granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; two step grandsons; four step granddaughters; and one
step great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, daughter (Julie Hoover) and stepson, Mark
Peterson.

Visitation is Saturday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Funeral services are Saturday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Jarboe
officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Ruth E. Kiefer
BREMEN — Ruth E. Kiefer, 91, of Bremen, died Wednesday, July 11 at Bremen Health Care
Center.

She is survived by four sons, Wayne and Karyn Kiefer of Windover Lake, Mich., Roger and
Kathy Kiefer of Bremen, Bob and Karen Kiefer of Nappanee and Steve and Amy Kiefer of
Bremen; three daughters, Janet and Ray Szabo of Elkhart, Mary Ann and Kenneth Yarian of
Bremen and Sue and Bill Quinn of Broadview, Ill., 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and
three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13 at Grace Fellowship Church, 535 S.
Birkey St., Bremen.

Services are Saturday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Gospel Church, P.O. Box 281, Bremen,
IN 46506 or Bremen Health Care Center, 316 Woodies Lane, Bremen, IN 46506.

The Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alvin Henry Werner
KNOX — Alvin Henry Werner, 85, of Knox, died Wednesday, July 11.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice (Peters) Werner of Knox; his children: Sherri (Dwight) Adams
of Valparaiso, Kathi Werner of Knox and Jayne (Terry) Cooper of Walkerton; sister, Shirley
Pulver of Hanna; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, July 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Funeral
services will be Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Knox. Burial will
be private.

Memorials may be made to Starke County Community Services (Council on Aging).

Gregory M. Albright
LOVELAND, Ohio — Gregory M. Albright of Loveland, Ohio.
Beloved husband of 39 years to Gail L. Albright. Devoted father of Eric M. (Lori) Albright and Joel
G. Abright and his girlfiend Lisa Frey of Cincinnati, Ohio. Son of the late Mary Jane and Marvin
Albright. Brother of Suzanne J. Albright of Portage and Mark Albright of Plymouth. Half-brother of
the late Doug Albright. Son-in-law of Julia White of Etna Green and the late Harold White.
Brother-in-law of Ginger Ros of Muncie, Gregory Joe White (Cathy) of Bourbon and George T.
White (Debra) of Etna Green. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces
and grand nephews. July 13, 2007 at the age of 61.
Friends will be received at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 Riverside Drive, Loveland,
OH 45140 on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at 1
p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, the American Cancer
Society or the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Erika Tribbey
PLYMOUTH — Erika Tribbey, 82, 635 W. Oakhill Ave., died of natural causes in Miller’s Merry
Manor, Plymouth, at 1:10 a.m. on July 12, 2007.

Born in Germany on Aug. 4, 1924, she was the daughter of Carl Franz and Freida Augusta
Louisa Kelm Hamann.

Educated in Germany, she graduated from college there.

She worked at Ball Band in South Bend and United Foam in Bremen. Erika spent most of her life
taking care of the home and raising her children.

Erika loved flowers and crafts.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Vicky Hamann, South Bend and a
daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Scott Enders of Etna Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.

H. Eleanor Erickson
PLYMOUTH — H. Eleanor Erickson, 97, of Plymouth died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007
in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.

She is survived by a daughter Kathy A. Erickson of Plymouth; three grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

Memorial services and a time of sharing will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19 in the Plymouth
Baptist Church, 11345 9A Rd., Plymouth.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill cemetery, Chicago, Ill.
Memorials may be given to the Plymouth Baptist Building Fund.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, is in charge of arrangements.

Lester R. Flynn
ROCHESTER — Lester R. Flynn, 82, of Rochester, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, July 15, at the
Life Care Center of Rochester.

He is survived by one sister, Rosella Smeyers of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert Ritter officiating at Good Family
Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior for visitation.

Burial will be at Rochester IOOF cemetery.

Larry W. Hartley
WALKERTON — Larry W. Hartley, 55, died at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
following a motorcycle crash, on Sunday, July 15.

He is survived by two daughters: Theressa Hartley and Heidi (Richard) Jackson, all of Terre
Haute; his mother, Lola Hartley of Knox; one sister, Dorothy Snowdon of Knox; two brothers:
Gary (Terry) of Jacksonville, Fla. And James of Trinidad, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. (CDT) at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet
Chapel.

Visitation is Saturday after 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Military honor and firefighter honor services will be held at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Koontz Lake Fire Department or the Starke County
Fire Association Honor Guard.
