Fredonna L. Clouse

Fredonna L. Clouse, 71, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.

She was born on September 15, 1934, in Plymouth, Indiana to Bryan and Lavina (Trump) Lemert.

She graduated in 1952 from Lapaz High School and enjoyed attend her 50th class reunion.

She served the Town of Lapel as Clerk/Treasurer for 16 years and prior to that, she worked at the Madison County courthouse.

She was a member of the Lapel American Legion Auxillary for 27 years.

She is survived by three children, Steve (wife, Mary Jane) Clouse of Lapel, Dick (wife, Donna Kay) Clouse of Lapel, and Sandra Miller of Anderson; six grandchildren, Michelle Hobbs, Matthew Clouse, Melissa Bannon, Mike Clouse, Chris Rangel, and Jessica Rangel; seven great-grandchildren; and special friends, Joyce and Don Helterbrand.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Wayne Clouse, in 1999; and a grandson, Jason Faust in 1996.

Private graveside services and burial will be held at Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

There will be no visiting.

Joel Clarence Faust

Joel Clarence Faust, 80 of Monessen, Pennsylvania, formerly of Washington, Pennsylvania and Anderson, Indiana area, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006, after a brief illness.

He was born on February 3, 1926 in Noblesville, Indiana to Clarence Edward and Mary Lorena Wiles Faust.

He attended Pendleton, Indiana High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy on February 1, 1944 during World War II. He served on the U.S.S. Brooklyn CL40 in the Mediterranean and received ribbons and stars for the three theaters in which he fought: The American Area Service Ribbons; the European-African Middle-Eastern Area Service Ribbon, West Coast of Italy Operations Star, and the Invasion of Southern France Star; and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was discharged from the United States Navy on January 6, 1946 as a Fireman, Second Class and then finished his high school education and earned his diploma.

Mr. Faust worked for Omar Baker, Davis Dairy and then became employed by Brockway Glass Company in Lapel, Indiana. He later transferred to the Brockway Glass Company Plant in Washington, Pennsylvania as a superintendent of Maintenance. In 1978, he transferred back to the Brockway Glass Plant in Lapel, Indiana where he retired in 1983.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 945, Washington Lodge 165 Free and Accepted Masons, Wa-Cha-Gree-Forrest 149 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Frances (Wooden) Faust, who he married on December 25, 1949. He is also survived by his three children, Brent C. (wife, Margaret) Faust of Frankton, Indiana; Terry L. (wife, Tina) Faust of Washington, Pennsylvania; and Marla Jo (husband, Kelly) McCloskey of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvanina. He had 8 gradchildren, Michelle Hobbs of Lapel, IN; Kristin and Jordan Faust of Washington, Pennsylvanina; Joel Houston, Keven, Mitchell, Matthew, and little Sarah McCloskey of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. He had 3 great-grandsons, Derek Faust, Dylan and Tyler Hobbs of Lapel, Indiana. He is also survived by two sister, Virginia I. Bockman, and Eve H. (husband, Paul) Bevelheimer of Warsaw, Indiana. and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jason Edward Faust.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Arthur Fish

Arthur "Pork" Fish, 66, Anderson, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006, at his residence following a long fight with colon cancer.

He was born on August 14, 1940 in Elwood, Indiana to Paul and Juanita (Sylvester) Fish.

He worked at the Emge meat packing plant in Anderson for several years and was the original owner and operator of Lawn Designers Landscaping Company before handing the family business over to his sons in 2002. He loved to work and to be outside as well as to spend time with his family.

Arthur was a great husband, father, and friend who was loved by many. He had a great sense of humor and will be remembered by many for his kind heart.

He was a member of the Gethsemane Four Square Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janette (Lum) Fish; two sons, Eddie Fish, and Donnie (fiancé, Amy Cooper) Fish both of Indianapolis; three brothers, Joe Fish of Anderson, Jim (wife, Dee) Fish of Jamesport, MO, and John (wife, Clare) Fish of Houston, TX; one sister, Sue VanDuyn of Anderson; four brothers-in-law, Doug (wife, Diane) Lum of Anderson, Glen (wife, Sally) Lum of Anderson, Phil (wife, Kaye) Lum of Crossett, AR, and Hugh (wife, Anne) Lum of LaGrange, CA; three sisters-in-law, Hilda (husband Harrold) Herbert, and Carolyn Givens of both of Crossett, AR, and Hazel Welch of Urania, LA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Loice Pardue.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Bob Henderson officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ethel F. Green

Ethel F. Green, 73, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at her daughter's residence in Anderson following an extended illness.

She was born on January 6, 1933, in Brooks, Alberta, Canada to Fay and Linda (Cook) Howell. She came to live in the states when she was 14 years old.

She was a homemaker.

She was a Lapel High School graduate and was a member of the former Madison County Homemakers Club.

She is survived by two sons, Forest "Woody" (wife, Pam) Green of Fishersburg, and Hilbert "Tex" Green (Jerry Dowell) of Indianapolis; two daughters, Leslie Edwards (Ron Davis) of Anderson, and Rosalind Lynn (Randy Cleary) of Anderson; one brother, Ernest "Butch" Howell of Lapel; eleven grandchildren, Forest "Chip" Green, Corey Green, Stacy Green, Chance Green, Lee Edwards, Joel Edwards, Ryan Edwards, Jessica Slayton, Jimmy Lynn, Jasmine Hamilton, and Brandon Wayne Chrisman; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilbert Green.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Claude Creel officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home.

Bradley V. Grimes

Bradley V. Grimes, 92, Pendleton, former Noblesville resident, passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.

He was born on June 8, 1914, in Demming, Indiana to Charles and Lula (Freeman) Grimes.

Bradley retired in 1979 from Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation as a bus driver and was also retired from farming.

He was a member of Prairie Baptist Church in Noblesville.

He is survived by five children, Carolyn (husband, John) Blazier of Pendleton, Larry (wife, Mary) Grimes of Pendleton, Charlotte (husband, Joe) Ridgeway of Winchester, Jeff (wife, Jodi) Grimes of Anderson, and Teresa (husband, Ed) Harkness of Edmore, MI; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, A. Berniece (VanMeter) Grimes.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Memorial cemetery in rural Noblesville.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

Clarence Hall

Clarence Hall, 67, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Transitional Care Unit of Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following an extended illness.

He was born on March 8, 1939, in Hunter, Kentucky to Bert and Nola (Roberts) Hall.

He was a U. S. Army veteran and he retired from Firestone in Noblesville. He was currently employed as a custodian at Noblesville High School.

He was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church, the Lapel American Legion Post 212 and the Lapel Eagles Aerie 4323.

He is survived by two children, Michael Hall, and Cathy Hall both of Indianapolis; two step-daughters, Vickie Denham of Anderson, and Carmen Griffin of Lapel; two brothers, Richard (wife, Shirley) Hall of Riverside, CA, and Bobby (wife, Sue) Hall of Winchester, KY; one sister, Wilma (husband, Paul) Casper of West Chester, OH; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Frances Hall in 2004.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel where military graveside rites will be performed by the Lapel American Legion Post 212.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

E. Wayne Harvey

E. Wayne Harvey, 85, Anderson, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson.

He was born on July 30, 1920, in Madison County, Indiana to Edgar and Florence (Brown) Harvey.

Wayne retired from Delco Remy in 1974 after 33 years of employment and he also farmed.

He married Jean Mills on December 21, 1946 and she preceded him in death on January 31, 1995.

He was a member of the U. A. W. Local 662 and the Madison County Farm Bureau.

Wayne is survived by one son, Donald Wayne Harvey of Anderson; two brothers, Marvin Harvey of Pendleton, and Tom Harvey of Pendleton; four sisters, Mona Miller of Anderson, Janet Kelly of Fortville, June Deshone of Pendleton, and Jane Fisher of Pendleton; two brothers-in-law, George Mills of Pocahontas, AK, and Charles Mills of Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Etha Mae Cloud of Anderson, and Velma Kluesner of Anderson; and several nieces, and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Harvey; and four sisters, Jean Klonne, Esther Harvey, Joanne Rumler, and Carol Webb.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Edgar Helterbrand

Edgar "Ed" Helterbrand, 55, Richmond, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 18, 2006, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Missouri following an extended illness.

He was born on October 21, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana to Donald and Joyce (McAvoy) Helterbrand.

Ed lived in Lapel most of his life and moved to Richmond, Missouri 10 years ago.

He was an assembler for the General Motors plant in Fairfax, Missouri and he retired in 2000 after 32 years of employment with General Motors.

He was a member of the Missouri Trappers Association, the Fur Takers of America, the National Trappers Association, and the Richmond Masonic Lodge No. 57.

Ed is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Jeffrey) Helterbrand whom he married on April 18, 1980; his parents, Donald and Joyce (McAvoy) Helterbrand of Lapel; two children, Paul J. Helterbrand at home, and Nicole Lynn Cook of Fortville; one sister, Teresa Ellis of Noblesville; and two grandchildren, Jaedon and Kailah Cook.

He was preceded in death my one sister, Deborah Sue Totten.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Brookside cemetery in Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating and burial will follow.

There will be no visiting hours.

Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Barbara R. Hensley

Barbara R. Hensley, 75, Lapel, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.

She was born on August 7, 1931, in Hancock County, Indiana to Ralph and Thelma (Martin) Kincade.

She was employed for many years by Woolworth and Woolco as a personnel manager.

She was a wonderful seamstress who made many bridesmaid's dresses, her daughter's wedding dress. She also loved to knit, crochet, quilt as well as travel.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Luther Hensley; three children, Eric (wife, Vickie) Hensley of Anderson, Cheryl Hensley, and Christina Brooks both of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Terry (wife, Sangita) Hensley of Coral Springs, FL, Jaime (wife, Liz) Hensley, and Jordan Haymaker both of Pendleton; two great grandchildren, Ashley and Chance Hensley; and six brothers and sisters, Betty Goff of Fortville, Dolly Wilson of Ingalls, Dennis Kincade of Plymouth, David Kincade of Fortville, Bradley Kincade of Fortville, and Dale Kincade of Russell Springs, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Hensley; two brothers, Byron "Bud" Kincade, and Don Kincade; and a son-in-law, Rod Brooks.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
