Evelyngean Rhoades Graves, 40, 178 WoodLake Villas, Hilton Head Island, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at Hilton Head Island, SC due to an auto accident.

She was born on June 12, 1961 in Rochester, IN to Walter and Patricia (Smith) Rhoades.

She had worked at a Day Care and had been painting houses at Hilton Head Island. Jean had lived there for the past 10 years.

She is survived by Daughter, Sandy Stephen Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Son, RJ Graves of Phoniex, AR, Sisters, Malaya (Mae) Ault of Plymouth, IN, Verla ( Sandy Neighbors) Rhoades of Plymouth, IN, Sevilla Rhoades of Plymouth, IN, Grandson, Scout Stephen of Indianapolis, IN, o brother, Ed Smith of SC, and Jose, a long time companion of Evelyngean, of Hilton Head Island, SC. Evelyngean has been preceded in death by her mother and father, three brothers, Bobbie, Sam, and Mark, and one sister, Mildred.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2002, at 1:00 PM at Maple Grove cemetery in Argos, Indiana with Rev. Larry Ferguson officiating.

Memorials will be accepted by the family in Evelyngean's name.

Van Gilder Funeral Home is in charge of the local services.

Harold W. Flora Sr., 78, of 19762 W. 3B Road, Walkerton, passed away Monday, April 29, 2002 at 7:30 AM at his son's residence in Walkerton.

He was born on October 12, 1923 in Plymouth, Indiana to Ralph and Ruth Baker Flora. He served in the United States Army during World War II, from 3/11/1943 to 2/6/1946. He fought in two major battles; The North Appennines and the Po Valley in Italy. He earned the American Theater Ribbon, The EAME Theater Ribbion, Two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, The Purple Heart, and The WWII Victory Medal.

Harold and Ethel Heeter were married February 17, 1946 in Leiters Ford, Indiana, and she passed away June 23, 1992. They lived in the Culver and the South Bend Area and then lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 18 years. The past 4 years, Harold resided with his son in rural Marshall County. Harold was employed as a carpenter most of his life.

He was a member of American Legion Post 303, River Park, where he was a past commander.

He is survived by his son, H. Wayne and Darlene Flora of Walkerton, Indiana, daughter, Jeannie and Chuck Sanchez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, son, Michael and Charlotte Flora of South Bend, Indiana, daughter, Rebecca and Mike Payne of Fountain, Colorado, sister, Josephine Winrotte of Mishawaka, Indiana, sister, Betty and Steve Fisk of Florida, sister, Treva and David Smith of Argos, Indiana, sister, Eva and Walter Holderread of Plymouth, Indiana, step-sister, Laura and Richard Gunder of Culver, Indiana, step-sister, Virginia and Paul Bullock of, Texas, step-brother, Charles and Donna Kline of South Bend, Indiana, step-sister, Brenda and Robert Wynn of Culver, Indiana. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Flora and a sister, Helen Hannabach.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2002, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street in Plymouth, Indiana. Services will be held Saturday May 4, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, Indiana with Rev. Thomas Padberg officiating. Burial will be at Leiters Ford cemetery in Leiters Ford, Indiana.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Marshall County Hospice.

Roy G. Fenimore, 85, P.O. Box 53, Tyner, passed away Wednesday November 28, 2001 at 10:45 A.M. at Millers Merry Manor, Walkerton, Indiana.

He was born on September 10, 1916 in LaPorte, Indiana to Ross and Cora (Reid) Fenimore. In 1927 Roy moved to the Tyner area and lived there until ill health required him to admitted to Millers Merry Manor.

Roy's parents as well as his sister, Elsie Roy, preceded him in death. Also preceding Roy in death was his very special friend Janet Stombaugh.

Roy was a retired farmer and worked as a dispatcher for the Marshall County Highway for many years.

He was a member of Tyner IOOF #821. Roy was awarded his 50 year membership pin a few years ago. Roy was also a member of the Mt. Horeb of Rochester, The Canon Lodge of South Bend, Indiana and the Tyner United Methodist Church.

He is survived by several cousins and many friends.

Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday December 2, 2001 at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana with Pastor David Inskeep, of the Tyner United Methodist Church, officiating. A graveside service and burial will be at the Eastlawn cemetery in North Liberty, Indiana on Monday, December 3, 2001 at 10:30AM.

Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Sunday, December 2, 2001 at the Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth. An IOOF service will be held on Sunday at 5:30 P.M.

The family requests memorial contributions be given in Roy's memory to the Tyner IOOF #821.

M. Dianne Fahr, 63, 10913 S, Michigan Road, Plymouth, passed away Friday December 7, 2001 at 2:55 AM at her home after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family .

She was born on October 4, 1938 in Boone, Iowa to Robert and Martha Burke Lewis. She lived all over the United States and Cuba with her career Army Family.

Dianne and Jerald Fahr were married March 11, 1961 in Shoals, Indiana. They moved to her "real" hometown of Plymouth January 1, 1968 and raised their children here.

Over the years, she was involved in countless service organizations and activities in the community. Dianne especially loved the Girls Scouts, Bowling, Golf, and Genealogy research. She helped many people as they researched their genealogy.

She is survived by Her Spouse, Jerald Fahr of Plymouth, IN. Also surviving are her 3 daughters. They are; Roberta Jeanne and Brian Armontrout and son Eric of Charlottsville, VA. , Dorothy Colleen and Kim Kretowicz and children Katherine and Joseph of Ada, MI, and Amy Ruth and Dan McCarthy and children Brody, Mitchell, Hayden and Lillian of Grand Rapids, MI. "As dear to her as sons" : Paul and Barb Wendel and daughter Olivia of Plymouth, IN., Steve Anglemyer and sons Seth, Wilson and Mac of Mishawaka IN., Jim and Traci Lacey and Sons Jeremy and Josh Lacey of Mishawaka, In. Brothers Mike and Carole Lewis of Colorado Springs Co., Larry and Carol Lewis of Spokane, WA., Steve and Ana Lewis of Pueblo West, CO., Jim and Sandy Sprouse of Winterport, ME., Tim and Susie Sprouse of Stevens Point WI., Fred and Joanne Sprouse of Breckenridge, CO., Daniel Sprouse of Columbus, IN., and Many nieces, and nephews and very special friends many spanning 3 generations of Dianne's kids. She had a special love for children especially for Grandchildren, hers by birth and by love. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Robert James and Martha Jean and her step father Lowell Eugene Sprouse and by her grandson Garret Wendel.

Visitation will be held Sunday December 9, 2001 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St. Plymouth, IN. Services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at the Van Gilder Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Padberg officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth, In.

In lieu of flowers, Dianne wanted memorial donations made to either the Plymouth Fireman's Memorial Scholarship Fund or to Hospice of Marshall County.

Arnold J. Downing, 78, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2002 at the Alterra Sterling House of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

He was born on July 29, 1924 in Bourbon, Indiana to Austin and Minnie Kessler Downing. Arnold served in the United States Navy during World War Two The Korean War, retiring in 1963.

Arnold and his wife, Mary Winrotte, who passed away April 26, 2001, were Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee for 29 years.

He was a member of Cook Memorial United Methodist Church, The Fleet Reserve USN, The Kentuckiana Association of Kentucky Fried Chicken, The Southeast Association of Kentucky Fried Chicken, The National Association of Kentucky Fried Chicken, AARP, Jeffersonville Elks Club #362, BPOE, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by His Son, Terry and Elaine Downing of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Son, Craig and Debra Downing of Charlestown, Indiana, Daughter, Karen Downing of Alpharetta, Georgia. Also surviving are 4 Grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and his brother Robert Downing.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Thursday August 15, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street in Plymouth, Indiana, with Rev. Steven Resner officiating. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth, IN.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society or Vista Care Hospice.

She was born on May 26, 1929 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Guy and Mary Hanes McAfee.

Jean and Robert Davenport were married August 6, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky. Jean was married to Lewis Edwin Warren Sr. and he died in 1949.

She is survived by Her Spouse, Robert Davenport, daughters, Ginger and LeRoy Purk of Wakarusa, IN, Jean Norwood of Elsmere, KY, sister, Marjorie Lightner of Elkhart, IN, brothers, James and Ginny McAfee of Plymouth, In, Don and Carolyn McAfee of Plymouth, In, granddaughter, Angela Norwood of Mishawaka, IN, grandson, Andrew Norwood of Elsmere, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, son Lewis Edwin Warren Jr. in July of 1947, one sister and three brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday December 7, 2001 at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Van Gilder Funeral Home 300 west Madison St. Plymouth IN. Services will be held Saturday December 8, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, In with Spritual Care Consular Vanette Kashmer officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth, In.

The family request that memorial contributions be given to The Center for Hospice-Palliative Care, 2901 East Bristol St. Suite C, Elkhart, Indiana 46514.

Evelyn C. Cudney, 82, of 802 W. Jackson Street, Plymouth, passed away Monday November 19, 2001 at 8:55 AM at Hospice House in South Bend.

She was born on April 7, 1919 in Walkerton, Indiana to James and Nellie Nelson Stickley.

Evelyn and Clyde Cudney were married April 27, 1940 in LaPaz IN, and he passed away on the 27 day of April, 1986. Evelyn had worked as a salad maker at the Hayloft Restaurant.

She was a very active member of The Christ Church of Plymouth, Indiana.

She is survived by her Daughter, Lois and Larry Davis of Plymouth, In, daughter, Shurla and Dick Knepper of Plymouth, In, son, Terry Cudney of Plymouth, IN. Three sisters also survive. They are: Marie Hardesty of Hamlet Indiana, Joan Mapes of Bristol Indiana, and Audrey Barnhart of Ohio. Also surviving are two brothers: Clyde Stickley
of Walkerton Indiana and James Seiders of North Liberty Indiana. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and one great, gret grandchild.

Visitation will be held Wednesday November 21, 2001 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth. Services will be held Friday November 23, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, IN with Rev. Larry Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth, IN.

Also surviving are 3 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 10:30 AM at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, Indiana with Rev. James Singleton officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth, Indiana.
