Kathryn O. Reel, 69, of West Terre Haute died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, in her residence. She retired from Hendrick Absract Co., in 1992, after 25 years of service. She was born July 22, 1932, in Cle Elum, Wash., to William Clark Upman and Ella Irene Deaver Upman. Her husband, James Henry Reel, whom she married

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Julie Olivia Gose and Dale Gose of Hagerstown, Rebecca Lynn Hale and Billy Hale and Carla Diane Whitesell and Daniel Bruce Whitesell, all of New Goshen; one sister, Billie Sue Stepp of Terre Haute; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas James Upman and Thelma Upman of Geneva, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Vinnie Foradori of West Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Andrew Courtney Gose, Jack Tyler Gose, Jennifer Lynn Hale, Eric Mathew Hale and Olivia Lynn Whitesell; and 15 nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Ella Grace Whitesell; one sister, Verna Irene Foradori; and one brother-in-law, James W. Stepp. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Terre Haute and was a paper doll collector. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is noon until services Saturday. Lewis W. Yoho
Lewis W. Yoho, Ph.D., 85, of Terre Haute died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in his residence. He was a teacher and administrator. He was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Moweaqua, Ill., to Millard Yoho and Cornelia Simpson Yoho. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Shedd Yoho; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jean Yoho of Terre Haute; one daughter and son-in-law, Lora and David Sapp; one grandson, Steven Sapp and one granddaughter, Lindsay Sapp, of New Haven. He was a graduate of Tell City High School, received his bachelor of science degree from Indiana State University, his master of science degree from California Institute of Technology and his doctorate degree from Indiana University. His professional career included teaching and administration in South Bend, teaching at Ball State University in Muncie and teaching and administration at ISU. He was the founding dean of the School of Technology at ISU, retiring as dean in 1981. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a reserve Navy officer in the South Pacific region. He was a member of the Rosicruicians, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. After his retirement he remained active in the antique business, establishing collections and doing restorations. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Roselawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Thomas officiating. Visitation is noon until services Saturday. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the L.W. Yoho Scholarship Fund at Indiana State University.
Donald L. Pearman
MONTEZUMA - Donald L. Pearman, 81, of Montezuma died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born July 9, 1920, in Hillsdale to Edward Pearman and Myrtle Allen Pearman. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Thomas Pearman; one son, Donald Ray Pearman; two daughters, Donna Vandevender and Eva Pearman; one brother, Harold Pearman; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in Brown Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Uselman officiating. Burial is in Oakland cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Aileen Virginia Stebbins Porter
UNIVERSAL - Aileen Virginia Stebbins Porter, 82, of Universal died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Harborside Healthcare in Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 27, 1920, in Indianapolis to Arthur Stebbins and Marie Thixton Stebbins. Her husband, James R. Porter, died earlier. Survivors include three daughters, Vickie L. Alexander, Gema S. Quinn and Roxanne Turner; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services are 4 p.m. today in Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel, with the Rev. Bettie Barta officiating. Burial is in Washington Park North cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation is 2 p.m. until services today.
Dorothie C. Price
BRAZIL - Dorothie C. Price, 85, of Brazil died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville. She was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Clay County to Clifford Chatham and Grace Frazier Chatham. Her husband, Robert H. Price, died June 20, 1991. Survivors include one son, Gary Smith; one sister, Bonnie Goodmon; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services are noon Saturday in Lawson-Slack Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Price officiating. Burial is in Clearview cemetery. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until services Saturday.
Donald R. Redenbarger
BRAZIL - Donald R. Redenbarger, 78, of Brazil died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Union Hospital, following an extended illness. He retired from Anaconda Aluminum in 1986, after 25 years of service. He was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Clay County to Ralph Redenbarger and Nettie Wyatt Redenbarger. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wright Redenbarger, whom he married
Dec. 7, 1943; one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Patricia Oeding Redenbarger of Brazil; one granddaughter, Lisa Coughanour and her husband, John of Brazil; two great-grandchildren, Carli and Alec Coughanour, both of Brazil; and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. His grandparents were German immigrants and were homestead farmers of the farm where he was born, raised and lived. He was educated in a one-room school house in Prairie City. He worked in various clay factories in his early years and operated the family farm for 20 years. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in French Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randall Slavens officiating. Burial is in Kaelber cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and one hour before services Sunday.
Phyllis Dickison
Phyllis Dickison, 66, of Terre Haute, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for Packard Shirt until 1963. She was born March 2, 1936, in Terre Haute, to Carl E. Snow and Bessie M. Reed Snow. Survivors include her husband, Henry Rex Dickison; three sons, Roger Dickison and his wife, Tammi of Kingman, Mike Dickison and his wife, Marilyn of Terre Haute and Mark Dickison and his wife, Debbie of Clayton; one brother, Jerry Snow of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Katherine Kidwell of Terre Haute; one brother-in-law, Bill Dickison and his wife, Gerry of West Terre Haute; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Rio Grande Baptist Church and was a graduate of Otter Creek High School. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday in Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Sturdivant officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Zora Elaine Gipson
Zora Elaine Gipson, 87, of Terre Haute died at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in her residence. She was a homemaker. She was born March 8, 1915, in Sugar Grove, Ark., to Jesse Richey and Dora Maines Richey. Her husband, Austin Edward Gipson, died earlier. Survivors include one son, John B. Gipson and his wife, Sandi of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Connie C. Tate and her husband, Rick of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Sandra S. Gipson and Denise E. Edwards and her husband, Gary, all of Prairieton and Bobbie R. Jones and her husband, Don M., of Rosedale; three sisters, Opal D. McGugan of Ponca City, Okla., Lora E. Townsend of Tulsa and Fern Patterson of Fairfax, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Charlene Gipson; five brothers, Garland Richey, Wes Richey, Emmett Richey, Wornie Richey and Howard Richey; and two grandchildren, Kelly Miller and Troy Edwards. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Burial is in Prairieton cemetery. Martha Jo Kepler
Martha Jo Kepler, 84, of Terre Haute, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at her residence. She was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in West Terre Haute to Thomas Morgan and Gladys All Morgan. Survivors include her husband, J. William Kepler II, whom she married
Aug. 23, 1941; one son, John W. Kepler III of St. Louis; one daughter, Morgan J. Kepler of Chicago; one brother, Thomas Morgan of St. Mary's Village; one sister, Mariah Rogers of Chicago; three grandchildren, Samantha Leigh Kepler, Justin Butler and Jeremiah Butler; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a graduate of Indiana State University and was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Roselawn Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Steve Moore officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. There is no visitation. Roy 'Doc' McClelland
Roy "Doc" McClelland, 79, of Terre Haute died at 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, in his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Brazil to Lymuel McClelland and Zena Cofer McClelland. His wife, Ruth Genieve Hooker McClelland, died in 1989. Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Alvey; one brother, Kenneth McClelland; one sister, Dorothy Slavens; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 11 a.m. today in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Herb officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services.
Charles W. McCray
Charles W. McCray, 81, of Estero, Fla., and formerly of Terre Haute died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, in Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Brazil. Survivors include his wife, Louise Shepherd McCray; two sisters, Betty Sarchet and Mary Lou Morgan; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. At his request, there were no services. Cremation was by the National Cremation Society in Fort Myers, Fla.
Dorothy E. Brock
SHELBURN - Dorothy E. Brock, 99, of Shelburn died at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in Miller's Merry Manor. She was born July 20, 1903, in Shelburn to Thomas A. Miller and Liddy Mae Berlein. Her husband, William Lester Brock, died earlier. Survivors include one son, Thomas Brock; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. William Dwight Fetherling
FARMERSBURG - William Dwight Fetherling, 63, of Farmersburg, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, in his residence. He was employed by Contel/GTE as a communications technician for 29 years and by Union Hospital for 10 years. He was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Goldengate, Ill., to John Fetherling and Sylvia Walker Fetherling. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joyce Landis Fetherling; two daughters, Pamela Eakin and her husband, Steve of Katy, Texas and Peggy Vaughn and her husband, Barry of Carmel; four brothers, Tony Fetherling, Dean Fetherling, Roger Fetherling and Bruce Fetherling; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Don and Margaret Clodfelter of Farmersburg; four grandchildren, Tyler Eakin, Courtney Eakin, Kayla Vaughn and Mackenzie Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Farmersburg United Methodist Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702. BRAZIL - Larry E. Gorman, 46, of Brazil died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, following an accident on South Forest Avenue. He was born Aug. 7, 1956, in Clay County to Bessie Gorman. Survivors include his mother, Bessie Gorman Austin; one daughter, Suzanne Gorman; four aunts; and three uncles. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Bible Chapel Ministries in Manhattan, with the Rev. Steve Brattain officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow services. Norma J. Maple
CLINTON - Norma J. Maple, 81, of Clinton and formerly of Cambridge City died at 1:13 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in West Central Community Hospital in Clinton. She retired from Perfect Circle, Dana Corp., in Hagerstown in 1975, where she was a member of the 25-year club. She was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Dana (Stumptown) to James H. Hollingsworth and Alta M. Longfellow Hollingsworth. Her husband of 35 years, Raymond "Tip" Maple, died August 1997. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including two nieces, Janice Bradley and her husband, Bill and Nancy Hill and her husband, Ben, all of Clinton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Hollingsworth and Lucille Jones; and two brothers, Vernon Hollingsworth and Wayne Hollingsworth. She was a graduate of Newport High School and a member of Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority Lambda Chapter. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday in Riverside cemetery in Cambridge City, with the Rev. Mindy Huffman officiating. Burial will follow, with graveside visitation from 10 a.m. until services Thursday.
