BRAZIL - Edith Morlan, 89, of Brazil died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in Holly Hill Health Care, where she had been a patient for two years. She formerly was employed at Indiana State University and at McDonald's in Brazil. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Brazil to Roy Scott and Almaretta Erwin Scott. Her husband, Bert Morlan, a former Brazil mayor, whom she married June 5, 1930, died Oct. 30, 2001. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Peg and Robert H. Britton of Brazil; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sue Morlan of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mike Britton of Pasadena, Calif., Debra Harrah of Brazil, Jeffrey Morlan of Sioux Falls, S.D., Bradley Morlan of Klickitat, Wash., and Kristina Morlan of Smyrna, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Scott; and one sister, Katherine Morlan. She was a homemaker and also assisted her husband in the operation of their auto service stations. She was a graduate of Brazil High School and was a member of Berea Christian Church of Brazil. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Miller Memorial Chapel, with Brother Tom Hess officiating. Burial is in Summit Lawn cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Berea Christian Church.

G. Inez Rodriguez Hohenstein

G. Inez Rodriguez Hohenstein, 55, of Terre Haute died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in her residence. She was an LPN for 18 years and was currently employed by Nurse Finders of Indianapolis. She was born October 1946, in Terre Haute to Armando Rodriguez and Catherine Shephard Rodriguez. Survivors include three sons, Duane A. Hohenstein and his wife, Terri L. of Clarksville, Tenn., Shane E. Hohenstein and his wife, Jeanene C., and Wayne A. Hohenstein, all of Terre Haute; one daughter, Tammy Sue Peters and her husband, Robert of Terre Haute; one sister, Mary E. Godman and her husband, Fred of Taylorville, Ill.; two brothers, John Rodriguez of Champagne, Ill., and Richard Rodriguez of Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Robbie Lewis, Desiree Hohenstein, Angela Peters, Bridget Hohenstein, Gregory Hohenstein, Cody Peters, David Hohenstein, Phillip Hohenstein, Nicholas Peters, Hannah Peters and Cheyenne Rose Ericson; and nieces and nephews, Rick, Lynn, Michelle and Kimberly. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and was a first lieutenant in Civil Air Patrol 52. Services are 4 p.m. Saturday in Dunn Family Mortuary, 2005 N. 13th St., with the Rev. Aaron Wheaton officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation is 1 p.m. until services Saturday, in the Mortuary. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3092 E. Davis St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.

Linda J. Kamp

Linda J. Kamp, 61, of Lubbock, Texas, and formerly of Terre Haute died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002. She was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Terre Haute to Howard P Blankenship and Cedona Weese Blankenship. Her husband, "Bud" Kamp, died in 1997. Survivors include three sons, Mike Doyle, Bill Kamp and Jim Kamp; two daughters, Shannon Knabeschuh and Kathy Ayers; her mother, Cedona "Sid" Odell; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. today in Resthaven Funeral Home's Abbey Chapel in Lubbock, with the Rev. Scot Edmondson officiating. Burial is in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Vernon Keith Ooley

Vernon Keith Ooley, 43, of Evansville died of a cerebral hemorrhage Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in his residence. He worked for Standard Register. He was the son of Vernon B. Ooley and Daisy Deane Ooley. Survivors include his mother of Terre Haute; four sisters, Marcia Page and her husband Stephen of Scottsdale, Ariz., Vernalee Mitchell and her husband Bob of Cory, Susan Ooley-Viray and her husband John Viray of Terre Haute, and Beth Carpenter and her husband Keith of Cincinnati; one brother, James Ray and his wife Karen of Princeton; one aunt, Frankie Hufnagle of Evansville; three nieces, Jordan Page, Vicki Hazel and Jacki Damm; and four nephews, Rob Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Justin Mitchell and Spencer Ooley-Viray. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994. He was in the U.S. Navy for six years, serving on the USS Kennedy in the computer program division. He also worked for Wright Motors. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Roselawn Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Steve Rundel officiating. DeBaun Funeral Home Springhill Chapel assisted with local arrangements. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh County Humane Society.

Russell D. Ringham

Russell D. Ringham, 74, of Terre Haute died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Terre Haute to Raymond Ringham and Anna Splittorf Ringham. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Watson Ringham; two sons, Larry Ringham and Karen Ringham; one brother, Carl Ringham; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Roush officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972. Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Grace M. Hammons

SULLIVAN - Grace M. Hammons, 77, of Sullivan died at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Pennington Gap, Va., to Judge Crider and Fleda Huff Crider. Her husband, William Hammons, died in 1968. Survivors include one son, Donald Hammons; two daughters, Rajamah Drake and Ramona Gelhausen; two brothers, Noah Crider and Don Crider; two sisters, Pearl Nevin and Lois Ann Goins; and two grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in Banks & Brust Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Agnes "Dru' Keagy

JASONVILLE - Agnes "Dru' Keagy, 73, of Prescott, Ariz., and formerly of Jasonville died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, in her residence. She was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Jasonville to James Overman and Alice Hardesty Overman. Survivors include her husband, Irvin Keagy; three daughters, Lee Dusynski and her husband, Don of Placita, N.M., Denise Gonterman of Reno, Nev., and Jill Keagy and her husband, Juan Vergara of Playa Del Rey, Calif.; two stepsons, Derek and Devin; one sister, Wilma Rutledge and her husband, Jim of Terre Haute; two grandsons, Jeff and Jeremy; two granddaughters, Melissa and Donna; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Lynn; two sisters, Lois and Evelyn; and one brother, Wilbur. She was an avid card player and was a member of several bridge clubs. She and her husband also played Euchre monthly with a group of friends. Memorial services were January 26 in the United Methodist Church of Prescott, with services by the local chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott assisted with services and cremation. The family suggests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the YRMC Hospice of Prescott Valley, 3262 Windsong Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz. 85371.

Florence L. Maudlin

CLINTON - Florence L. Maudlin, 77, of Clinton died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was employed by Columbia Records. She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Vigo County to John Remler and Laura Belle Remler. Survivors include her husband, Irvin Maudlin, whom she married April 17, 1970; one daughter, Shelley Kelsheimer of Paris, Ill.; two sons, Stephen Kelsheimer of Terre Haute and Barry Kelsheimer of Carrollton, Ga.; and one grandson, Joey Kelsheimer. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Grove Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Harrison officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. until services, Saturday, in the chapel. Frist Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. The family suggests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hux Cancer Center.

Julia A. Mizell

MONTEZUMA - Julia A. Mizell, 70, of Montezuma died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born Dec., 15, 1931, in Montezuma to Sullivan Pearman and Hila Melton Pearman. Survivors include two daughters, Mira Mizell and Kandice K. Addison; one brother, Jean Pearman; and two grandchildren. There are no services or visitation. Cremation is scheduled. Brown Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Georgia "Marian' Oelheim

SULLIVAN - Georgia "Marian" Oelheim, 77, of Sullivan died at 4:02 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Sullivan County Community Hospital. She retired from Whirlpool in Evansville in 1983, after 15 years of service. She was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Cave-in-Rock, Ill., to George Pickering and Evelyn Thomas Pickering. Survivors include one son, Dennis Oelheim and his wife, Ronna of Sullivan; one daughter, Judy Skaggs and her husband, Louie of Evansville; one sister, Barbara Walters of Booneville; grandchildren, Stacie Nichols, Christy Britzinger, Misty Britzinger and D.J. Oelheim; great-grandchildren, Kayla Winiger, Kaycie Nichols, Alex Nichols, Madison Oelheim and Cameron Britzinger; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. CST Saturday in Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel, with the Rev. Lester Howard officiating. Burial is in Rose Hill cemetery in Newburgh. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. EST today in Alexander-Kean Funeral Home in Sullivan and 10 a.m. until services Saturday in the Newburgh chapel.

Lillian Ruth Schloot

SULLIVAN - Lillian Ruth Schloot, 85, of Sullivan died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Worthington to Parker Thompson and Stella Thompson. Her husband, Donald Freeman Schloot Sr., died earlier. Survivors include one son, Donald Freeman Schloot Jr.; one stepson, Jan Schloot; and one stepdaughter, Susan Benjamin. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Holmes Memorial Chapel, with Howard Ness and Terry Norris officiating. Burial is in Fairview cemetery in Linton. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Sharon L. White

BRAZIL - Sharon L. White, 57, of Brazil died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in the emergency room of Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was an order clerk for Columbia House for 27 years, retiring in 1999. She was born Feb. 19, 1944, in Terre Haute to Herschel Morge and Josephine Meers Morge. Survivors include her husband, William Thomas White, whom she married Jan. 18, 1963; one daughter, Jean Tanner of Brazil; one son, Bo White of Terre Haute; her mother of Brazil; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Rogene Morge of Brazil; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Mark Hassler of Brazil; grandchildren, Breanna Tanner, Ethan Tanner, and Dabryn Tanner, all of Brazil and Taylor White of Terre Haute; one nephew, Trevor Hassler; and three nieces, Trace Hassler, Shelby Morge and Lynsey Morge. She was preceded in death by her father. She was a 1962 graduate of Terre Haute Garfield High School. She was an avid collector of Longaberger baskets and was a member of the Longaberger Club. She enjoyed collecting antiques and making an annual trip to Dresden, Ohio. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in French Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Hess officiating. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday.

Elizabeth A. Robson

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Elizabeth A. Robson, 51, of Englewood died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, in Venice, Fla. She was born July 17, 1950, in Oak Park, Mich. Survivors include her husband, John D. Robson, whom she married Nov. 15, 1969; one daughter, Melissa A. Robson of San Antonio; one son and daughter-in-law, John F. and April Robson of Ocala; one grandson, John Dalton Robson; one granddaughter, Hope Lynn Robson; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Larry Witty of West Terre Haute; nephews, Jeff and Janice Witty, Mark and Carla Witty and Larry and Michelle Witty, all of West Terre Haute; one niece, Lori Roberts and her husband, Brian, of West Terre Haute; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lemon Bay Funeral Home, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Fla. Burial is in Lemon Bay cemetery in Venice. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 705 Putnam St., Terre Haute, IN 47802. Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home of West Terre Haute assisted locally.

Muriel F. Barnhart

Muriel F. Barnhart, 80, of West Terre Haute died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Royal Oaks Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1921, to Richard Bailey and Vivian Ramsey Bailey. Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Barnhart; one son, Phillip W. Barnhart of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Maher of Florida; one sister, Delores Hunter of Terre Haute; one brother, Richard W. Bailey of Florida; three grandchildren, Phillip W. Barnhart II and Duane M. Barnhart, both of Florida and Alissa J. Spitler of Terre Haute; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua M. Barnhart and Isabella G. Barnhart, both of Florida. She was a member of West Terre Haute First United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 428 of West Terre Haute. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sandy Clark officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today, with OES memorial services at 7 p.m., and 7 a.m. until services Monday. The family suggests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Clara Jane Beck

Clara Jane Beck, 87, of Terre Haute died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Lakeview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a homemaker. She was born Dec. 13, 1914, in Washington, Ind., to James Charles Norris and Amy Gertrude Shultz Norris. Her husband, Millard Fillmore Beck, whom she married Feb. 14, 1935, in Paris, Ill., died July 12, 1988. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Phyllis Beck of St. Cloud, Fla., Richard and Wanda Beck of Marshall, Ill., and Dale and Charlotte Beck of West Terre Haute; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Beck; one grandson, Wesley Smith; one sister, Avis Paddock; and one brother, Gerald Norris. She attended the River of Life Church in West Terre Haute. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn cemetery, with the Rev. Bob Maskell officiating. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home.
