Patsy Hauschild
Patsy J. Hauschild, 69, of Evansville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer. Patsy had worked at Springfield Wire, Telesis Corp. and Diversified Electronics prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors are her husband of 34 years, Walter F. Hauschild of Evansville; a daughter, Deborah Baker of Evansville; sons, Michael, David and Gary Hellenberg, all of Evansville, Mark Hauschild of Evansville, Terry Hauschild of Pennsylvania, and Tom Hauschild of Fort Branch, Ind.; grandchildren, Clifford Williams, Amy, David and Alex Hellenberg, Anjelica, Seth, Geffrey, Ben, Shawn, Caroline and Andrew Hauschild; and great-grandson, Ethan Rowe.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander West Chapel, Reverend David Rose and Reverend Tom Hauschild officiating, burial in Emanuel Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel.
Joseph Horn
Joseph V. Horn, 78, of Evansville, died Monday, January 28, 2002, at his residence of cancer. Mr. Horn retired in 1982 as a furniture representative for the furniture industry. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
He was a World War II veteran in the United States Army, where he received a Bronze Star.
He is survived by his wife, Marie M. (Mathis) Horn; a daughter, Genie Fyffe of Evansville; 2 sons, David Horn of Shelbyville, Tenn., and William Horn of Mebane, N.C.; 3 sisters, Martha Wyatt of Howe, Ind., Beverly Renkenberger of Kendallville, Ind., and Charlene Heintzelman of Lakeland, Fla.; 2 brothers, James Horn of Topeka, Ind., and Charles Horn of Ligonier, Ind.; and 4 grandchildren, Amy Smith, Karri, Casey and Katherine Horn.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, with Reverend Jeff Stratton officiating. Graveside services will be private in Charlotte, Tennessee.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess/Ohio Valley Hospice Care.
Joyce Monarch
Joyce Monarch, 64, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2002, at her home from cancer. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. She retired from the Senior Aide department at C.A.P.E. (Community Action Program of Evansville) and for over 40 years, she cared for the elderly in their homes. She was a member of the East Side Lions Club and the Evansville Blind Association.
She is survived by her friend and caregiver, Lynn Kratzer of Evansville. Her husband, Kenneth "Pappy" Monarch, preceded her in death in December of 1993.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at the First Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Jack Feldbush officiating. Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel and continued Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Bates Hill Cemetery
in Yankeetown, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association or to the East Side Lions Club.
Felix Myers
Felix M. Myers, 82, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was a self-employed oil producer.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Lillian P. (Zink); three daughters, Glenda Schroeder, Gayle Cannon and Rebecca Pfafflin; and three grandchildren.
Services will be private. Pierre Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Louise Neth
Louise Neth, 99, of Evansville, died Saturday, January 26, 2002, at Little Sisters of the Poor.
There are no immediate surviviors.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Little Sisters of the Poor, burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:30 to 6 p.m. today at Little Sisters of the Poor. Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel is handling arrangements.
John Purdie
John M. Purdie, 51, of Evansville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at St. Mary's Riverside of complications of a stroke.
John had worked for 26 years at Alcan Aluminum. He was a member of United Steel Workers of American Local 9442. He had a special interest in real estate property and investment.
He was an avid gardener and enjoyed water gardening. He was a pet and animal lover.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Purdie of Evansville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Joe Hochstetler of Evansville; and a nephew, Joe Hochstetler of Tampa, Fla.
Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2002, at Alexander East Chapel. The body will be cremated. There will be no visitation at Alexander East Chapel.
Donations may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
William Vierling
William K. Vierling, 56, of Markleville, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Ind.
Surviving are his father, Paul W. Vierling; and a brother, Gene R.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory in Anderson, Ind., with burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
William Wright Jr.
William T. Wright, Jr., 68, of Evansville, Indiana, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
He was a 1951 graduate of Central High School.
William retired in 1993 after 37 years of service from SIGECO where he had worked as an electrical engineer.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the
Korean War and a member of VFW 1114.
William was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was a Cub Master of Pack 36 for over 10 years.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Betty (Westfall) Wright of Evansville, 3 sons, Bill Wright of Ozona, Fla., Bob Wright of Evansville, and Bryan Wright of Indianapolis; and 4 grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Chelsea Wright, Carly Wright and Brandon Wright.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2002, at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Walter Ullman officiating, with burial at the Lutheran Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Jewell Davis
OAKLAND CITY - Jewell I. Davis, 82, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Petersburg Healthcare Center.
She had been a chef.
Surviving are a son, the Rev. Don Davis; two sisters, Bessie Mosby and Mabel Thomas; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time.
Maggie Dilger
DALE - Maggie L. Dilger, 89, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at St. Joseph Deaconess Hospital in Huntingburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Beresford; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Youngblood Funeral home in Chrisney, burial in New Hope Cemetery
