died Friday in Los Angeles. She was born in Hope, Ark. REV. JARED FRANKLIN GERIG, 95, of Glendale, Ariz., formerlyGerig
of Fort Wayne, died Friday at Glencroft Retirement Center, Glendale. He was a pastor in Auburn, Cleveland, Phoenix, Van Nuys, Calif., and Sun City, Ariz. He was dean of Pacific Bible College in Azusa, Calif, and dean and president of Fort Wayne Bible College. He taught at Fort Wayne Bible College, Pacific Bible College, American Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem and Jamaica Theological Seminary in Kingston, Jamaica. He was also president of The Missionary Church and National Association of Evangelicals. Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two sons, the Rev. Wesley Gerig of Fort Wayne and the Rev. William Gerig of Glendale; a daughter, Gwen Riewald of Sun City West, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Church, 701 Rudisill Blvd., with calling one hour before services. Calling also from 6 to9 p.m. Friday at D.O. ERWIN M. LASSEN, 81, died Tuesday at Heritage Park Health Care Center. Born in Fort Wayne, he was an auditor for Medical Protective, retiring in 1981, and was a World War II Navy veteran and a past Little League commissioner for Fort Wayne District 10. His wife, Alma M., died in 2001. Surviving are five sons, John and Jim, both of Fort Wayne, Stan of Springfield, Mo., Matt of Coppell, Texas and Joe of Cincinnati; three daughters, Mary Sue Baldwin of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Cathy Overholt and Linda Florent, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Wilbur of Lansing, Mich., and Harold of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. JAMES T. SCOTT, 73, of Columbia, S.C., formerly of Fort Wayne, died July 21. Born in St. Louis County, Mo., he was the publisher of Fort Wayne Magazine in the 1960s. JERRY DOUGLAS "DOUG" GOBLE, 59, died Saturday at the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center. Born in Floyd County, Ky., he had worked at Auburn Gear and was involved with auto racing in Steuben County. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Jerry Douglas Jr. and Alan Lee, both of Altona; a daughter, Vickie Cardoza of Kendallville; a brother, Doyle of Garrett; four sisters, Dorothy Delauder, Kathy E.
