He was also a bus driver for Columbia Township School, a repairman for More Farm Store in Columbia City and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a woodworker for Foot Hill Crafts in Manchester. His first wife, Madge L., died in 1976 and second wife, Mary "Jane, " in 1983. Surviving are a son, Larry of Manchester, Tenn.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Basle of Columbia City and Lee of Larwill.
