MALINDA SCHWARTZ BEECHY, 81, died Saturday at home. Born in Nappanee, she was a homemaker. Her husband, William D., died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Schrock of LaGrange; four sons, Marvin, Alvin and John, all of LaGrange, and Daniel of Cambria, Wis.; a sister, Lovina Helmuth of Nappanee; three brothers, John Schwartz of Nappanee, Joe Schwartz of Etna Green and Daniel Schwartz of Berne; 39 grandchildren; and 59 great-grandchildren. Services at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the family residence, 1140 S., 250 W., LaGrange. Calling after 5 p.m. today and all day Monday at the residence. Burial in Mast cemetery, LaGrange. Arrangements by Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange.

Ligonier

RICHARD DALE FISEL, 79, died Friday at home. Born in Ligonier, he had been a meat cutter at Kroger, Kellams Foodtown and Holsingers. He then worked in the recreational vehicle industry for 23 years, retiring in 1988 from Advantage Corp. in Goshen. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was vice president of Ligonier High School Alumni for two years, and served two terms on the Ligonier City Council. Surviving are his wife, Frances; two sons, Stephen R. of Longview, Texas, and Marc J. of Columbia City; and two grandchildren.
Services at 2 p.m. Monday at Ulrey-Renner Funeral Home, Ligonier, with calling two hours before services. Burial in Brown cemetery, Millersburg. Memorials to Ligonier Historical Society.

Monroe

HUBERT W. KELLER, 91, died Friday at Swiss Village Retirement Community. Born in Monroe, he worked at Preble Cannery and retired in 1973 from Adams County Trailer Sales. He was also a custodian at Decatur Bank & Trust, Decatur Public Library and Decatur Church of God. Surviving are his wife, Mildred L.; a son, Robert A. of Decatur; two daughters, Donna Gerber of Decatur and Lois Brunstrup of Monroe; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Decatur Church of God, with calling one hour before services. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial in Ray cemetery, rural Monroe. Memorials to the church.

LAURA LUCILLE HANTELMAN, 97, died Saturday at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. Born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, she was a homemaker. Her husband, Wilmer C., died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Lowell of Rogers, Ark., and Donald W. of Silver Lake; a brother, Arthur Randall of Albert Lea, Minn.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, James A.

ESTHER NICCUM, 85, died Friday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Kosciusko County, she was a homemaker and retired nurse's aide. She had also been a manager at the Area 5 Council on Aging. Surviving are her husband, Edward; four sons, Rexford of Pasadena, Texas, Clark of Fort Wayne, Donald of Hanceville, Ala., and Ronald of Andover, Kan.; a daughter, Patsy Wimmer of Columbia City; a sister, A. Willodean VanOrsdall of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services at 9:30 a.m. Monday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapter, followed by a 10 a.m. service at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester. NOBLE C. WARSTLER, 94, died Saturday at Ossian Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Randolph County, he owned and operated businesses in Portland. His wife, Irene, died in 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Kay Ashman of New Haven; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline McLaughlin. JACQUELINE "JACKIE" HUFFMAN, 71, died Saturday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Roll, she was past president of Warren Town Council and a member of the executive board and legislative committee of the Association of Cities and Towns. Her husband, George K., died in 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Ledbetter of Warren and Cindy Cheney of Indianapolis; two sisters, Geraldine Miller of Warren and Mary Witham of Roscoe, Ill.; two brothers, Richard Stroup of Marion and Jon Stroup of Winchester; two stepdaughters, Christine Wearly of Daleville and Nannette Huffman of Grayslake, Ill.; and three stepsons, Phillip L. Huffman of Omaha, Neb., James M. Huffman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Paul D. Huffman of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren. MARGARET H. SHANNON, 93, died Sunday at Shenandoah Health and Rehabilitation Center, Charleston, W.V. Born in Humberstone, Ontario, Canada, she worked for Auburn City Hardware for 13 years.
Her husband, Norman M., died in 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Geraldine Reynolds of Bunker Hill, W.V.; a brother, Norman Reeb of Essex, Ontario; a sister, Bertha Dean of Auburn; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
