Her husband, Charles "Charlie" W., died in 1987 and son, Lloyd N., earlier this year. Surviving are a son, Charles "Curly" D. of Hartford City; and seven grandchildren, Tim, Ted Tod, Terry D., Mike, Keith and Jerry Cain; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, with calling two hours before services. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial in Hartford City cemetery. RICHARD DWIGHT "DICK"TRUSSEL, 74, died Monday at Mariner Health of Palmetto, Fla. Born in Pampa, Texas, he retired from General Motors in Muncie in 1994. He was a U.S. Army veteran. His son, Michael Allen, died in 1993. Surviving are his wife, Roberta M.; a daughter, Kay L. Townsend of Hartford City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. VALETTE VIVIAN CARVER, 80, died Saturday at Laurels of DeKalb, Butler. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a bartender in Hicksville, Ohio, for 30 years. Surviving are two sons, Donald and Skip, both of Harlan; four daughters, Judy Miller of St. Joe, Sandy Petrie of Reading, Mich., and Nancy Fitzsimmons and Vonda Hitzeman, both of Hicksville, Ohio; a sister, Gladys Mc-Diffit of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Services at noon EDT (11 a.m. Fort Wayne time) Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio. She was also a lifeguard at Markle Pool and was past grand worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star 567 in Markle. Her husband, Clare, died in 1989. Surviving are a daughter, Joanne Pequignot of Fort Wayne; a brother, Kenneth West of Metarie, La.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
