Surviving are a son, Charles "Curly" D. of Hartford City; and seven grandchildren, Tim, Ted Tod, Terry D., Mike, Keith and Jerry Cain; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also a lifeguard at Markle Pool and was past grand worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star 567 in Markle. Her husband, Clare, died in 1989.
