Marie Dunn
CANNELTON — Marie L. Dunn, 92, died Monday at Beverly Healthcare in Tell City.
She retired as assistant postmaster at the Cannelton post office.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Ambrose of Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Rose Marie Martin, preceded her in death.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, with burial in Cliff cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Huber Funeral Home.
Melanie Wehmeier
LOOGOOTEE — Melanie R. Wehmeier, 40, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper of cardiac arrest.
Surviving are her mother, Esther Wehmeier of Loogootee; a sister, Shanaz Cindy Dass of Cornwall, N.Y.; and nieces and a nephew.
She had been a caregiver for the elderly and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Titzer Funeral Home.

Donna Cross
ELBERFELD — Donna C. Cross, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Princeton, Ky., of a heart attack.
She retired from J&H; Service Co.
Surviving are three daughters, Vicki Eble of Newburgh, Beverly Susott of Elberfeld and Winifred Hargrove of Evansville; a son, Fred Reeves III of Elberfeld; two sisters, Dora Bannister of Princeton, Ky., and Lily Marie Scott of Eddyville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Fred Reeves Jr., Charlie Miles and Leo Cross.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Simpson Volkman Funeral Home, with burial in Susott cemetery.

Nancy Grimm
GRANDVIEW — Nancy Grimm, 71, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Perry County Hospital in Tell City of congestive
heart failure. She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Street of Grandview; three sons, Jim and Keith of Liverpool, Ohio, and Lee of Bartlett, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, James Sanford Grimm, died in 1999.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with burial in Grandview cemetery.

Marilyn Rothrock
ROCKPORT — Marilyn Rothrock, 65, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at her home of a heart attack. She had been an elementary schoolteacher.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, John; three daughters, Karen Bunch of Rockport, Sharon Geiselmann of Utica, Ky., and Karla Bengert of Evansville; a sister, Carolyn Mowen of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Hill cemetery.

John Woody
VINCENNES — John F. Woody, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at his home.
He had been the regional manager of Prudential Insurance.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Elks and Harmony Society.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Durham of Kettering, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park cemetery.

Virgie Cronin
TELL CITY — Virgie V. Cronin, 94, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Helen Esarey of Tell City; two sons, Kenneth A. of Tell City and William D. of Lenoir City, Tenn.; a sister, Nettie Harpenau of St. Meinrad; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery in Bristow.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Evaline Farris
SOMERVILLE — Evaline Farris, 83, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
Surviving are three daughters, Wilma Wright of Princeton, Dixie Tyring of Francisco and Dotie Anderson of Somerville; a brother, Eddie McNew of Mackey; three grandchildren, Terry Gray, Michael Wright and Rhonda Thompson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1982.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Somerville cemetery.

Russell O. Bivins
Russell O. Bivins, 83, of Evansville, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at the home of his daughter, Jerri Fleming of Evansville.
He had worked for F. Ames Buggy Co. in Owensboro, Ky., Bell & Howell in Indianapolis, and had been a machine mill operator for airplane parts. He retired in 1982 from Zenith after 20 years.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1114.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sherry Hill of Old Saybrook, Conn., and her twin, Gary W. of Tujunga, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Gina Marie Sanders, Bethany Lynn Benak and Samantha Josephine Hill.
There will be no visitation or services at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
John Kassenbrock Sr.
John E. “Jack” Kassenbrock Sr., 74, of Evansville, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
He retired in 1986 after 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was a 1944 graduate of Memorial High School and a member of the All-City Memorial football team in 1943.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114, Evansville Downtown Quarterback Club, Fendrich Golf Men’s Club and the Eagles.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou (Lappe); five sons, John E. Jr., Robert M., Thomas L. and Donald W., all of Evansville, and Kenneth A. of Indianapolis; three sisters, Louise Ziegler, Rose Specht and Katherine Kassenbrock, all of Evansville; 12 grandchildren, John C., Lisa M., Sara D., Ryan J., Neil R., Eric M., Emily E., Laura K., Allison D., Alex L., Maggie L. and Jack J. Kassenbrock.
Services begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Browning Funeral Home, continuing at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Rev. Ted Tempel officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Joanne Bowen
Joanne M. Bowen, 47, of Evansville, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of liver failure.
She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Mike (Michael); a daughter, Teri Mitchell of Evansville; three brothers, Mark, Danny and Mike Saller, all of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Terri Saller of Akron and Rita Unrue of Canton, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Sarah Mitchell.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel. The body will be cremated.
