Mary Ellen Dunnuck, 54
Mary Ellen Dunnuck, 54, of rural Ossian, died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at her residence.
Employed in nursing at Bluffton Regional Medical Center for 27 years, she was a 1968 graduate of North Side High School in Fort Wayne and attended the Sonlight Wesleyan Church.
Born Nov. 16, 1949 in Fort Wayne to Jesse P. and Waneta J. Murphy Federspile, her marriage on Sept. 23, 1968 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wells County was to Morris (Denny) Dunnuck, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Joseph L. Dunnuck of Craigville and a daughter, Mrs. Marc (Deborah) Fillers of Ossian; a brother, Clemeth Federspile of Leo; a sister, Kyris Johnson of Fort Wayne, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Sonlight Wesleyan Church with Rev. Tom Bradley officiating and burial in Oaklawn cemetery in Ossian.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel and on Monday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Preferred memorials are to Gideons International.

Danny A. Yohe, 64
Danny A. Yohe, 64, the father of Mrs. Carey (Susie) King of Bluffton, died Wednesday, Aug. 25 at his home in Portland of a sudden heart attack.
Retired from Teledyne Portland Forge after 37 years of service, he was a member of the National Rife Association, the Portland Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 211.
He was a 1958 graduate of Governor I. P. Gray High School and served with the U.S. Army.
Born Nov. 17, 1939 in Elwood to William A. and Helen L. Weaver Yohe, he was married on Jan. 1, 1989 to Sonja Uhrick Hamner, who survives.
Also surviving in addition to the daughter in Bluffton are one son, Ryan M. Yohe of Portland; five other daughters, Deanna Yohe of Chillicothe, Ohio; Mrs. Derrick (Danell) Miller of Fort Wayne and Emily Haley, Jessica Rowles and Yvonne Hime, all of Portland; two sisters, Keita S. Penry of Anderson and Jackie Works of Austin, Tex.; three step-sons, Jon G. Spencer and James C. Hamner of Portland and Cory W. Hamner of Huntsville, Tex.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Kim) Gross of Huntsville, Tex., and Mrs. Luke (Amber) Lichtenwainer of Fort Hood, Tex., eight grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Eads officiating. Burial will be in the Little Salamonia cemetery southeast of Portland. The American Legion Post 211 will conduct military graveside rites.
Calling at the funeral chapel will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.

Michael M. Chandler, 65
Michael M. Chandler, 65, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Aug. 26 at Lutheran Hospital.
Retired as a forklift driver for Carnation-Nestles-Excel, he was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church. He was born Oct. 20, 1938 in Fort Wayne.
Surviving is a daughter, Becky Harris of Bluffton plus two other daughters, Tammy Loden of Fort Wayne and Cindy Chandler of Geneva; a son, Bryan Chandler of Newton, Ia., three brothers, Donald Chandler of New Haven, Gordon Chandler of Wolcottville and Herbert Chandler of Fort Wayne; a sister, Marion Weller of Fort Wayne, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road in Fort Wayne.
Calling at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals in Waynedale will be today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and for one hour before the funeral at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Catholic cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.

Alvina M. Mills 94
A native of Ossian, Alvina M. Mills, 94, died Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Lutheran Homes, Inc. in Fort Wayne. She had retired from General Electric Co. in 1966 after 26 years of service and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She married Howard Mills on March 20, 1954 and lived in Tocsin for 40 years. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Shively of Ossian and Mildred Grossman of New Haven; three step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lutheran Home Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour before. Preferred memorials are to Lutheran Home Chapel or the donor’s choice.
Burial will be in Emanuel Lutheran cemetery, New Haven. Arrangements are by E. Harper & Son Funeral Home of New Haven.

William A. “Bill” Crago, 37
Brother of Mrs. David (Cathie) Heckert of Bluffton, William A. “Bill” Crago, 37, Butler, died from injuries suffered in a traffic accident in Roxbury, N.J. Thursday, Aug. 26.
Born Aug. 29, 1966 in Fort Wayne to Carey and Katheryn Cook Crago, his marriage Dec. 4, 1998 in Auburn was to the former Sharon Williams. She and the parents survive.
He had been a truck driver for 16 years, most recently working for Evans Trucking in Butler. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Orland, the Butler Indiana Eagles Lodge, and was an avid Harley Davidson rider.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Erica, Saness and Courtney; two brothers, Carey of Butler and Tom of Waterloo; three other sisters, Deanna Martin of Wawaka, Mrs. Thomas (Mari) Scott of LaOtto, and Mrs. Jeff (Dawn) Spencer, Butler; and grandmother Mildred Cook of Woodburn.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday under the direction of Rev. Paul Patton will be at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery in Fort Wayne.
Calling will be from 5-8:30 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Violet Holdren, 94
Wells County native Violet Emma Holdren, of Mishawaka, died Saturday, Aug. 28 in the Fountain View Nursing Home in that city.
Born Jan. 3, 1910 to Leroy and Nora King Dolby, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Bennett in 1935, and her second husband, Orval Holdren, in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Bennett of Montpelier; four daughters, Esther Towns of Selma, Patricia Conwell of Muncie, Hannah Greider of Sturgis, Mich., and Cathy Kopp of Statesville, N.C.; a sister, Crystal Netrefa of Marion; 23 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There will be no service or calling. The body was cremated. Memorials may be made to any hospice.

William “Buster” Smith, 90
William DeWight “Buster” Smith, 90, of Portland, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27 in the Americare Center in Portland.
Born March 26, 1914 to Herman and Bessie May (Jones) Fogle Smith, he lived most of his life in the Hartford City and Marion areas, retiring from General Tire in Marion where he served on the union board.
He is survived y a daughter, Arlean Nibarger of Portland. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlean Eccles.
There will be no calling or services. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Montpelier. Preferred memorials to the Jay County Hospice. Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel in Montpelier is in charge of arrangements.

Mary C. Wickey
The sister of Lovina Neuenschwander of Pennville, Mary C. Wickey, 93, died at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at her residence in rural Bryant.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish.
Services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the family’s residence with calling there (8694 N 700E, Bryant) any time today.
Arrangements are being handled by the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.

Katherine E. “Kay” Graft, 76
Katherine E. “Kay” Graft, 76, died at her residence in Ossian Monday, Aug. 30.
Born in Tipton County Aug. 8, 1928 to William and Anna Bauer Riebling, she married Erwin C. Graft in Tipton, Aug. 1, 1953. He survives.
A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ossian, she was a homemaker and retired registered nurse. She enjoyed writing poetry and was a published poet.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Kim Erwin Graft, Ossian; three daughters, Mrs. John (Constance “Connie”) Denninger, Springfield, Va., Mrs. Randy (Lee Ann) Siples, Yoder, and Mrs. Ed (Teresa Kay) Davis, Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ossian. Rev. William R. Brege will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home in Ossian and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Building Fund or to the Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.

Roselyn M. Finan, 84
A native of Ossian, Roselyn M. Finan, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She sold Avon products for 43 years and was a member of its Presidents Club. She also was a member of the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith A. Sneary of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Michael (Carolyn S.) Doehrman of Telluride, Colorado; two sons, Thomas E. Finan Jr. of The Villages, Fla., and James M.Finan of Spencerville; a sister, Avinell Gailey of Fort Wayne, 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Finan, in 1999 and a brother, William Lipp.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also is from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday, with a vigil service at 4:30 p.m. at D.O.McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to masses, American Heart Association and Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
