Eleanor M. Dierstein, 90, of Fort Wayne, a member of Daughters of Isabella, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Parkview Hospital.

The Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, native was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Mary E. Dierstein of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H., in 1960.

Memorial services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery.

Memorials are to Riley Hospital for Children or Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.

Bernard T. Kearns Sr.
Fort Wayne

Bernard T. Kearns Sr., 92, of Fort Wayne, president of Kearns Drugs Inc. from 1960 to 1973, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at The Arbors at Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne native was vice president of Pinex Corp. from 1940 to 1960, a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 451 fourth degree, and past president of the Catholic Charities board of directors. He was past president of Notre Dame Club of Fort Wayne and first recipient of the club's annual Man of the Year Award in 1953.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores A.; sons Bernard T. Jr. of Lake George, Jerome B. of South Bend, Dennis E. of St. Louis, Mo., and Kevin P. of Pittsburg; daughters Molly A. Navin of Covington, Ky., and Kathleen A. Brita of Fort Wayne; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Prayer services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 S. Calhoun St., precede Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2120 S. Harrison St. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with an 8 p.m. rosary service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery.

Memorials are to Parish Kitchen, PO Box 1234, Covington, KY 41012.

Helen Darlene Small
Monroeville — 1942-2000

Helen Darlene Small, 57, of Monroeville and formerly of New Haven, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at home.

The Fort Wayne native was self-employed as a consulting engineer for seven years and had worked at General Electric Co. as manufacturing engineer for 30 years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir, St. Philomena Rosary Society in Italy and American Legion Auxiliary 420.

Surviving are her husband, Tommy Joe; daughters Wendy M. Ruble-Kuh of Newport News, Va., Kari A. Morales of Fort Wayne and Kathleen M. Small of Collingwood, N.J.; sisters Pearl Hebert of Detroit, Gerry Taylor of Muncie and Micki Evans of Ossian; brothers Victor Mudrack of Austin, Texas, Sonny Mudrack of Wadena, Minn., and Eugene Mudrack of Helena, Ala.; and four grandchildren.

Her sister, Alice Edmonson, preceded her in death.

Prayer services at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, precede Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville. Calling is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and also from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a 3:30 p.m. rosary service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Monroeville Memorial cemetery.

Memorials are to Masses.

Robert F. Wyatt
Fort Wayne — 1922-2000

Robert F. Wyatt, 77, of Fort Wayne, a retired self-employed carpenter, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The Fort Wayne native was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and American Legion Post 82 and was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are brothers Paul E. of Fort Wayne and William E. of Converse; and sisters Patricia L. Berndt of Fort Wayne, Rita Straley of Spring Park, Minn., Ruth M. Hamm of Palm Bay, Fla., Doris E. Jacoby of Star Prairie, Wis., and Phyllis J. Hite of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St. Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Burial will be at Catholic cemetery.

Robert Lee Jones
Fort Wayne

Robert Lee Jones, 45, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana.

The Clarksdale, Miss., native had formerly worked at Lutheran Home.

Surviving are his mother, Eloise Jones of Fort Wayne; a sister, Ora D. Jones of Fort Wayne; and stepsisters Secilia Jones and Sarah Thompson, both of Gary, Joyce Dickerson of Chicago, and Barbara and Elaine Thompson, both of Milwaukee.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakridge Temple Church of God In Christ, 2808 Evans St., with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Lindenwood cemetery.

Memorials are to the church.

Cathaline C. "Petie" Peters
Fort Wayne

Cathaline C. "Petie" Peters, 78, of Fort Wayne, a retired nurse, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, in Fort Wayne.

The Georgia native retired in 1988 from Parkview Hospital intensive care unit after 23 years of service. She formerly worked for Parkview Hospice, was a senior volunteer for Parkview Hospital and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons Herbert of Fort Wayne and Charles of Monroe, La.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley, in 1986.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Monroe Church of God, Monroe, Ga. Calling is from 2 to 5 Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling is also from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Meadows Funeral Home, Monroe, Ga. Burial will be at Social Circle cemetery, Social Circle, Ga.

Memorials are to Parkview Home Health Care and Hospice.

Virginia J. "Ginny" Azar
Fort Wayne

Virginia J. "Ginny" Azar, 69, of Fort Wayne, a loving grandmother, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Parkview Hospital.

The Fort Wayne native was an elementary school teacher and a member of Pi Beta Phi.

Surviving are her husband, David; a son, Larry of Minneapolis; daughters Vicki Frank of Fort Wayne and Karen Scofield of Indianapolis; and 11 grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lindenwood cemetery.

Memorials are to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

Ralph M. Call
Fort Wayne

Ralph M. Call, 85, of Fort Wayne, who ran Ralph Call Motor Sales for 52 years, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Bethlehem Woods Rehab Center.

The Fort Wayne native had worked at several used car dealerships since 1929, including the Hudson dealership in Fort Wayne and a Chrysler dealership in St. Mary's, Ohio. He was a member of Westfield Presbyterian Church, Loyal Order of Moose and a 50-year member of Elks Lodge. He was also a NASCAR fan who loved auto racing and boating on Lake James.

Surviving are sons Brad of Bradenton, Fla., and Dana of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wives Vera, Virginia and Helen, and a son, Ronnie.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lindenwood cemetery Chapel, 2324 W. Main St. Calling is from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave.

Memorials are to the family.

Braxton I. Jahn
Huntertown

Infant Braxton I. Jahn of Huntertown was stillborn Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Parkview Hospital.

Surviving are his parents, Jeff and Kristy Jahn of Huntertown; grandparents Bill and Joan Johnson of Fort Wayne and Terry and LuAnne Jahn of New Haven; great-grandparents Marrianne, Mary Lou and Jean Johnson and Clara Jahn, all of Fort Wayne and Joe West of Waynedale.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Park cemetery, 2403 E. Wallen Road. There is no calling.
