He was born September 18, 1972 in Anderson, and resided in Pendleton. He was a Lifelong resident.

He worked as an Electrician for Gaylor Electric in Indianapolis.

He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR

He is survived by his His Father and Stepmother: David K. (wife Carol) Lukens of Anderson. 2 Brothers: Todd K. (wife Linda) Lukens of Indianapolis, and Troy D. Lukens of Lapel. 6 Step Brothers and Sisters: Carie (husb Dustin) Wise of Indianapolis, Corey (wife Gina) Johnson of California, Cinda (husb Melvin) Terry of Utah, Clinton Johnson of Utah, Cameron Johnson of Peru South America, and Candice Johnson of Utah. 2 Nephews: Drew and Alex Lukens of Indianapolis. Uncles: Bob Norris of Muncie, Mike Norris of Muncie, Walt Norris of Muncie, Bill (wife Jan Herr) Lukens of Anderson., Aunts: Judy (husb Terry) Benefiel of Perkinsville, Debbie (husb Tony) Swingley of Farmland, and Mary Norris of Muncie. Many special friends including the Wood family, and David Conway.

He was preceded by his His Mother: Linda Sue (Norris) Lukens. Maternal Grandparents: Winfred and Vivian Norris. Paternal Grandparents: Frank and Opal Lukens, and Uncle Fred Norris

Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at 1:00pm, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory South Chapel, with Elder Gary Barr and Rev. Claude Creel officiating.

Burial will be in Grovelawn cemetery, Pendleton .

Visitation will be from 4-8:00pm on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory South Chapel.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Asso.

James E. Hoppes
December 12, 1918 - October 18, 2002

Pendleton - James E. "Jim" Hoppes, 83, Pendleton, died October 18, 2002 at Rawlins House, Pendleton after an extended illness.

He was born December 12, 1918 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. He lived in the Markleville-Pendleton area all of his life.

He was a farmer all of his life. He also worked for the Pendleton Speedway Station, Acme Paving Company, E & B Paving, Greer Steel and was a County Highway Department Supervisor.

He served his Country in the US Army during WWI and received the Purple Heart during the Battle of the Bulge in Germany.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Markleville. He was a member of the USTA, VFW and Markleville Masonic Lodge #629 F. & A.M. He was a member of the Indiana Horse Racing Commision and the Kennard Brotherhood & Sisterhood.

He is survived by his One Daughter: Judy & husband Ernie Sutton of Muncie. One Sister: Wilma Collier of Markleville. One Granddaughter: Jamie & husband Greg Hurst. Sister-in-law: Joanne Pring of Markleville. Special Friend: Russel Smith. Six Nieces & Two Nephews.

He was preceded by his Wife: Mary Alice (McCormack) Hoppes in 1975. Parents: Robert & Marie (Forney) Hoppes. Sister: Ruth Williams.

Services will be Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Ned Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Mechanicsburg cemetery-Mechanicsburg .

Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2002 at funeral home, south chapel..

Masonic Lodge Service @ 7:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2002

Donna L. Secord
September 24, 1927 - October 19, 2002

Anderson - Donna L. (Huffman-Kase) Secord, 75, Anderson, died October 19, 2002 at Anderson after an extended illness..

She was born September 24, 1927 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She has been a lifelong Anderson resident.

She was a cashier at the Village Pantry on the corner of Main and 53rd Streets, Anderson for over 10 years.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Anderson. She was a 1945 graduate of Anderson High School and a 1947 graduate of International Business School of Ft. Wayne.

She is survived by her Seven Children: Steven J. Kase of Anderson; Michael A. & wife Kim Kase of Anderson; Daniel J. & wife Kerri Kase of Batesville; Linda L. Marsh of Anderson; Diana B. & George Davis of Daleville; Lori A. & James Morrow of Middletown; and James Kase of Anderson. 12 Grandchildren: Michelle L. & husband Brian Taubert; Stephanie L. & husband Trent Haynes; Lanny Randolph; Nicole Morrow; Kylie Morrow; LesLee Kase; Braidi Kase; Kassiday Kase; George Davis; Heather Davis; Kristina Kase and James Kase. Two Great-grandchildren: Benjamin Taubert & Lindsey Taubert. Several Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Husband: Robert E. Secord who died in 1980. Parents: Allen J. & Louise C. (Wiese) Huffman. Son-in-law: Bob Marsh who died in 1987. Daughters-in-law: Melody Kase who died in 1991and Alita Kase who died Sept. 2002. Several Aunts & Uncles. Former Husband: Jean B. Kase who died in 2000. Very Close Friend: Dorothy Pitts.

Services will be Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 2:30 PM, at East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson, IN, with Rev. Mark Whitsett officiating.

Cremation will take place with burial in East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson .

Family and friends can gather at the gravesite one half hour prior to the service on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund, 716 Rainbow Blvd., Anderson, IN.

Edith Maxine Snodgrasse
August 19, 1916 - October 16, 2002

Anderson - Edith Maxine (Lindsey) Snodgrasse, 86, Anderson, died October 16, 2002 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness.

She was born August 19, 1916 in New Castle, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She lived in this area most of her life except for her time in Detroit.

She was a homemaker. Previously, she had worked for the Art Department of General Motors in Detroit and had owned a Beauty Shop in Detroit for several years.

She was a member of East Lynn Christian Church in Anderson. She enjoyed painting and flower gardening.

She is survived by her Children: Lolita & husband Wendell Buckley of Pendleton. Laureen & husband Max Deeter of Wabash. Elaine Snodgrass of Pendleton. Sister: Ola Mae Grimes of Anderson. Four Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband: Claire Snodgrasse. Parents: Alberto Alonzo & Lola Jane (Armstrong) Lindsey.

Services will be Monday, October 21, 2002 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Bryon Rose of East Lynn Christian Church. officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Anderson .

Visitation will be from 12-1:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2002 at funeral home, South Chapel.

Tiffany M. Stewart
(June 17, 1990 - June 4, 2011)

Tiffany M. Stewart, 20, of Anderson, passed away June 4, 2011 after an accident.

She was born June 17, 1990 in Anderson and was a lifelong Anderson resident. She was a graduate of Highland High School and a member of First Friends Church.

She is survived by her parents, Roland and Georganna Stewart of Anderson; sister, Maryann (husband, B.J.) Ellis of MO; brothers, Joshua Stewart and Travis Stewart, both of Anderson; sister, Cheyenne Rogers of Anderson; aunts and uncles, David (wife, Kathy) Stewart of Ft. Wayne, Shonda Stewart of Anderson, Phyllis (husband, Ernie) McCord of Wabash, and Janet Stewart, Tina Stewart, Robert Stewart, Floyd (wife, Christy) Stewart, Jr. and Rusty Stewart, all of Anderson; special cousins, Sean and Jayla; nephews, Levi, Austin and Trenton; several cousins, great aunts and great uncles; and special friends, Vicky, Carolyn, Catherine, Lissy, Tori and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Catherine Stewart; and Lowell and Mary Perkins; and uncle, Jimmy Stewart.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Thetford officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jason R. Ritchie
(May 14, 1975 - June 2, 2011)

U.S. Veteran
Jason Ritchie, 36, Anderson, went to be with the Lord June 2, 2011 at his residence after a sudden illness.

He was born May 14, 1975, the son of Stephen and Cheryl (Orr) Ritchie, in Anderson. He lived in Florida and Anderson and was a horticulturist.

Jason was a gentle spirit whose life ended much too soon. He served in the U.S. Army with pride and honor. Jason loved his kids and his family. He loved Trivial Pursuit, hot sauce, and history.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Ritchie of Anderson; grandmother, Lillian Ritchie of Middletown; three children, Savanna Ritchie, Stephen Ritchie and Synthia Ritchie, all of Florida; two aunts, Bonnie Huxford of Middletown and Connie (husband, Kenny) Hall of Anderson; an uncle, Richard (wife, Glenda) Stock of Alexandria; two sisters, Marcy Ritchie of Hawaii and Melissa Ritchie of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Ritchie; grandmother, Margaret Orr; grandfather, Kenneth Ritchie; and uncle, Max Huxford.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Cameron officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Military honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 266 Honor Guard.

Gary L. Rudig
(April 4, 1954 - May 31, 2011)

Gary L. Rudig, 57, of Anderson, passed away May 31, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness.

He was born April 4, 1954 in Quincy, IL and lived in Anderson most of his life. He graduated from Highland High School in 1972 and upon graduation, he received a selected appointment into the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He worked for the Chesterfield Police Department for 35 years and where he was currently a Major.

Gary was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church, was a US Air Force Veteran and was an avid Colts and Jeff Gordon fan.

He is survived by his wife, of 35 years, Sheri J. Rudig of Anderson; daughters, Tina K. Shewmaker and Brandy M. Smith, both of Anderson; son, Jerry R. (wife, Amanda) Rudig of Anderson; three grandchildren, Kelsie N. Shewmaker, Hayden J.A. Rudig and Kamdyn L. Rudig, all of Anderson; sisters, Pamela (husband, Richard) Rhoades of Leo, IN and Sandra (husband, Chris) Fricke of Deerfield Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Mary Rudig; and brother, Greg Rudig.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Chesterfield Christian Church with Rev. Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be at Maplewood cemetery with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chesterfield Food Pantry.

Angela N. Suarez
(November 29, 1965 - May 25, 2011)

Angela N. Suarez, 45, of Anderson, passed away May 25, 2011 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born November 29, 1965 in New Orleans, LA and had lived in Anderson for the past 7 years. She was a certified nurses assistant and a US Army Veteran.

She is survived by her mother, Rosemarie Brumfield; son, Allyn Swindell; and five brothers and sisters.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wardwell, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Marion National cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Russell L. Roby
(September 12, 1930 - May 30, 2011)

U.S. Veteran
Russell L. Roby, 80, of Anderson, passed away May 30, 2011 at St. John’s Medical Center after an illness that lasted several months.

He was born September 12, 1930 in Anderson, the son of Lowell M. and Lena (Richardson) Roby. He lived in Anderson all of his life and retired in 1992 from Delco Remy after 27 ˝ years.

Russell served in the US Navy and was a member of UAW – CIO local #662. He was a member of Trinity Community Church in Daleville and attended Southdale Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores “Jenny” Roby of Anderson, whom he married on September 14, 1948; three sons, Steven M. (wife, Denise) Roby of Warner Robins, GA, Dale A. (wife, Carol) Roby of Indianapolis and Michael L. Roby of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Richelle (husband, Bryan) Gilmer, Darrin (wife, Alice) Roby, Jessica (husband, Zane) Pritchett, Christopher (wife, Jennifer) Roby, Lisa Batt and Russell Roby; nine great grandchildren, Madison, Jenna, Ansley, Laura, Erin, Gus, Hailey, Addysen and Davin; sister, Betty Pat Brown of Anderson; brother, Douglas Roby of Sacramento, CA; nieces, Jennifer (husband, Mark) Noland and Kerry (husband, Gary) Flynn; nephew, Larry (wife, Gladys) Roby; and several cousins.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Loren Regier officiating. Burial will be at Bronnenberg cemetery in Chesterfield with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 266.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
