Mildred M. Mosby Fraser
Mildred M. Mosby Fraser, 82, of Evansville, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital of leu- kemia.
She was a member of Bethel Temple. She was an avid walker and made many friends at Washington Square Mall. She was a devoted wife, mother and faithful friend. She spent her life caring for others.
She is survived by sons Roger Fraser of Evansville, Jerry Fraser of Licking, MO and Steve Fraser of Evansville; daughters Sandy LaCour of Daytona Beach, FL and Marsha Fraser of Evansville; 9 grandchildren, 5 step- grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren; a brother Thomas Mosby of Evansville and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Leamon "Lee" Fraser of 54 years preceded her in death in July 1990.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 4 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. R.R. Schwambach officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 3 at the funeral home and on Monday, February 4, from 1 to 2 p.m.

John R. Graham
John R. Graham, 66, of Evansville, died Thursday, January 31, 2002, at his home. He was born in Chrisney, Ind., and was a forklift driver for Whirlpool Corporation for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Robert Graham Jr., in 1956.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Beverly; a son, Bob Graham of Chrisney, Ind.; a daughter, Cathy Powell of Cannelton, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Susie Pope of Rockport, Ind.; his father, Verner Graham of Chrisney; three brothers, Donald and Louis Graham, both of Chrisney, and Loyd Graham of Okeechobee, Fla.; a sister, Edith Filbert of Evansville; and four grandchildren, Jason and Jessi Graham, Bailey Powell, and Taylor Roach.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind., the Rev. Bob Duley officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery
in Chrisney, Ind.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
Royce Howton
Royce R. Howton, 71, of Evansville, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at his home.
He was a truck driver.
Surviving is a sister, Verna Franklin.
Private burial services were held Friday in Alexander Memorial Park. Pierre Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Melvin Kenneth Roettger
Melvin Kenneth Roettger, 80, of Pearland, Texas, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, January 31, 2002, at his residence.
Melvin was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pearland, Texas. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114, Reed Lodge 316 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Hadi Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marjorie (Bumb) Roettger of Pearland, Texas; a daughter, Carol Henry of Seymour, Tenn.; sons, John Roettger of McCordsville, Ind., Richard Roettger of Pearland, Texas, Michael Roettger of Evansville and Melvin Roettger of League City, Texas; sisters, Grace Schlag and Gladys Lunkenheimer, both of Evansville, and Wanda Harness of Lathrop, Calif.; brothers, Elmer and Evertt Roettger, both of Evansville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Dr. Robert Koch officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

L.C. Williams
L.C. Williams, 88, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Brentwood Nursing & Rehab Center of heart failure.
He was a retired truck driver and was self-employed.
Surviving are a daughter, Ida Mae Gotell; a son, James Williams; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mason Bros. Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Adrian Brooks officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Irene Aikman
BLOOMFIELD - Irene Naomi Aikman, 87, of Delevan, N.Y., formerly of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Pines Nursing Home in Delevan.
She retired as a bookkeeper from Bohn Aluminum Co. in Detroit, Mich.
Surviving are two sisters, Thelma Golnick and Arbutus Hardy.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Gill Funeral Home in Washington, Ind., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Sister Mary Baehl
FERDINAND - Sister Mary Baehl, 68, of Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Ind., died Friday, February 1, 2002, at 4:20 a.m. EST in the monastery infirmary.
Sister Mary was formerly known as Sister Mary Eugene. Sister Mary was born the second of nine children of the late Ce- celia (Schaefer) and Leroy Baehl, on May 20, 1933, in Fort Branch, Ind. She entered the Sisters of St. Benedict in 1952 from St. Bernard Parish and made her first profession of vows in 1954 and her final profession in 1957.
She is survived by four brothers, Vincent of Fort Branch, Robert and Daniel of Evansville, and Clemens of Haubstadt, Ind.; three sisters, Norma Goedde of Fort Branch, Diane Tuley of Evansville, and Sister Mary Leah Baehl of the Ferdinand Benedictine community; nieces and nephews; and members of her religious community. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stephen.
Sister Mary began her teaching in 1955 at St. Benedict in Evansville and then at Mount Vernon, Ind. In 1962 she participated in a program in Cuernavaca, Mexico, to study Spanish and Latin American culture in preparation for missionary work. In 1963 she and two other sisters became the first Ferdinand Benedictines to serve in the foreign missions in Bogota, Colombia. After two years, she returned to teaching at Holy Rosary School in Evansville. From 1967 to 1968, she ministered with the Ferdinand sisters in Cobn, Guatemala. In 1969 she and five other sisters from the Cobn mission were sent to begin a mission in Peru.
She was a true pioneer missionary. She helped establish a secondary school for girls, a parish clinic, various social services, and the sisters' monastery, Monasterio Paz de la Cruz in MorropUn. She was the superior for the sisters and, at various times, served as director of the school, teacher, catechist, sisters' formation director, and parish council member.
As a member of a pastoral team, she worked closely with Church officials in Peru in implementing programs to educate and empower the laity in church ministry. After 30 years of leadership and service to the Church and the people of Peru, Sister Mary returned to the monastery in Ferdinand in July 2000, when her health began to fail.
Friends may call at Monastery Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, February 5, beginning at 1 p.m. EST. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the monastery church.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 1 to 4:30 p.m., at which time the Resurrection Liturgy will be celebrated. Burial will follow immediately in the monastery cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Sister Mary may be made to the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand.

Nora Bratcher
BOON-VILLE - Nora Bratcher, 90, died Friday, February 1, 2002, at Baker's Rest Haven in Boonville.
Nora was born March 12, 1911, in Spottsville, Kentucky, to Samuel and Lula Hardwick Barger. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lula Juanita Bratcher and a son, William Earl Bratcher, both in infancy. Her brother, Otto Barger, preceded her in death in 1964. Nora's husband, Robert E. Bratcher Sr., preceded her in death on June 2, 1957. A granddaughter, Roberta Kaye Morris, preceded her in death in 1971.
Nora attended Pentecostal churches in the area. She worked at Sunbeam in Evansville during World War II and worked for Lemmons Coal Company cleaning their offices.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Morris of Boonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and George Cundiff of Boonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Judy Bratcher and Gary and Josie Bratcher, all of Boonville; a son, Robert E. Bratcher Jr. of Stronghurst, Illinois; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
William Brown
VINCENNES - William Vernon Brown, 84, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He retired from Blackford Glass in 1982 after 20 years. He was a finisher in the clay plant.
Surviving are his wife, Beulah Mae; two daughters, Dianna Stovall and Connie Mosier; two sons, Dale and Rex Brown; a sister, Stella Pruitt; two brothers, Leslie and Jackie Brown; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. EST Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, with Masonic rites at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hazleton Methodist Church.
