Survivors include her husband, William; a daughter, Susan Smith of Mishawaka; two sons, John of Plano, Texas, and Greg of Brownsburg, Ind.; and two sisters, Emily Kuhl and Edna Corse, both of South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ridgedale Presbyterian Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

Marsha J. Cox

Aug. 15, 1945 - Sept. 13, 1998

OSCEOLA - Marsha Janice Cox, 53, of West Superior, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Seniff of Syracuse and Cyndi Yoder of Osceola; a sister, Phyllis J. Fahler of South Bend; and two brothers, Michael D. Bentley of Osceola and Donald J. Bentley of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Palmer Funeral Home, Osceola, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Trevelyn M. DeWitt

Jan. 27, 1915 - Sept. 13, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Trevelyn M. DeWitt, 83, of Ludington, Mich., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in Memorial Medical Center, Ludington. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (Tollens); three sisters, Evelyn Niece of Three Rivers, Carol Hartranft of Union and Mary Alice Linton of Edwardsburg; and a brother, Frederick R. of Lake Placid, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Thallemer - Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Oct. 29, 1924 - Sept. 13, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Ralph R. Heck, 73, of Portage, Mich., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in his home. Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Paska of Kalamazoo; two sons, Richard C. of Mishawaka and Timothy of Carlsbad, Calif.; a sister, Joyce Smith of South Bend; and two brothers, Tom of Granger and William of Florida. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Langeland Portage Chapel, Portage, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Chester M. Lubelski

Nov. 11, 1921 - Sept. 13, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Chester M. Lubelski, 76, of Poppy Road, died Sunday in Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac. Survivors include his wife, Lucille F.; a daughter, Susan P. Tschida of Leesburg; three sons, James T. of Cassopolis, Donald F. of Elkhart and Ernest E. of South Bend; two sisters, Jenny Wroblewski and Virginia Brzezinski, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Leonard and Benny, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Ida M. Mazurkiewicz

Nov. 6, 1922 - Sept. 13, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Ida M. Mazurkiewicz, 75, of Hedge Maple Court, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Diana M. Shuey of South Bend and Patti Vavul of Granger; two sons, James and John, both of South Bend; a sister, Connie Iacona of Mantua, N.J.; and two brothers, Ralph Molinaro of Philadelphia and Danny Molinaro of Lewes, Del. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Baptist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.

Anni Rininger

Oct. 25, 1940 - Sept. 13, 1998

WALKERTON - Anni Rininger, 57, of 11200 E. County Road 875 North, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. Survivors include her husband, Clay; a daughter, Laina Rininger of Walkerton; a son, Rhondo of Koontz Lake; her mother, Emilie Stockmann of Germany; a sister, Ursula Straus of Germany; and a brother, Gerhardt Stockmann of Germany. Private services will be Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. There will be no visitation. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.

Gertrude D. Smith

April 9, 1905 - Sept. 14, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Gertrude D. Smith, 93, of St. Joseph Care Center West, died Monday in the care center. Survivors include four daughters, Betty VanLue and Eva Eacker, both of Muskegon, Mich., and Lucille O'Banion and Rose Van Bergen, both of South Bend; and a son, John A. of Dumfries, Va. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Martha D. Smith

May 15, 1925 - Sept. 13, 1998

NEW CARLISLE - Martha D. (Troxell) Smith, 73, of East Front Street, died Sunday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Boutin Gard of New Carlisle; two sons, Michael G. Middlebrook of Buchanan and Robert H. Middlebrook of New Carlisle; and three brothers, William Troxell of New Carlisle, Dale Troxell of Baroda and Virgil Troxell of Severville, Tenn. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., where friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Ann Snyder

Sept. 2, 1919 - Sept. 13, 1998

MISHAWAKA - Ann Snyder, 79, of West Jefferson Boulevard, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. The death is being investigated by St. Joseph County Deputy Coroner Michael O'Connor. Survivors include a son, John R. of Mishawaka; and a brother, Tom Mowry of California. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Margaretha Sproston

May 19, 1902 - Sept. 14, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Margaretha Sproston, 96, of Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Wakarusa, formerly of South Bend, died Monday in the nursing home. Survivors include a son, Ralph G. Jr. of Houston. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Emmaus Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.

Robert C. Boht

June 1, 1932 - Sept. 10, 1998

NILES - Robert Clayton Boht, 66, of 2031 Pucker Drive, died Thursday in his home. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon L. Holmes of Niles; a son, Robert of Niles; his mother, Aline Boht of Niles; and two sisters, Phyllis Zimmerman of Niles and Helen Lade of St. Petersburg, Fla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. There will be no visitation. Halbritter Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Larry G. Brooks

Nov. 18, 1949 - Sept. 12, 1998

NILES - - Larry G. Brooks, 48, of 2211 Redfield Road, died Saturday in Bronson - Vicksburg Hospital, Vicksburg, Mich., of natural causes. Survivors include two daughters, Shelly DeVon and Angela Brooks, both of South Bend; two sisters, Yvonne Owens of Buchanan and Glenda Curtis of Niles; and a brother, Marvin of Niles. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Pifer - Smith Funeral Home, where friends may call two hours before services.

Willie Campbell

Sept. 16, 1904 - Sept. 14, 1998

NORTH JUDSON - - Willie Campbell, 93, of 1411 W. County Road 400 South, died Monday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Vinie (Harvey); four daughters, Carol Kamba of North Judson, and Cleardinda Clemons, Joyce Bailey and Meada Howard, all of Knox; and four sons, Sherman of North Judson, Harold of Cincinnati, Seab of Lima, Ohio, and Pearl of Royalton, Ky. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Braman and Son Memorial Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Sept. 25, 1921 - Sept. 12, 1998

STURGIS - - Eva Christner, 76, of 403 E. West St., died Saturday in her home. Survivors include her husband, Menno N.; a daughter, Helen Quick of Howe; two sons, Harold and Donald, both of Sturgis; and five brothers, Charle O. Oxender of Buchanan, Frank Oxender of Berrien Springs, Fred and Dave Oxender, both of Sturgis, and Lester Oxender of Howe. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rosenberg - Schipper Funeral Home, where friends may call all day today.

Maurice J. Everson

Dec. 21, 1921 - Sept. 13, 1998

WARSAW - Maurice J. Everson, 76, of 1142 N. Shagbark Drive, died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday in Kosciusko Community Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn C. (Fremion); a son, Ron of Warsaw; a sister, Gwendolyn Saaffrank of Fort Wayne; and four brothers, Keith, Ted and Max, all of Fort Wayne, and Kim of Rome City, Ind. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in McHatton - Sadler Funeral Chapel, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before services Wednesday.

BOURBON - Lellen E. Hale, 90, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Bourbon, died Saturday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Verna M. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, where friends may call one hour before services.
