WARSAW - - Eva Rae Huffer, 97, of Mason's Health Care Center, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the center. Survivors include two daughters, Sonja Creighton and Phillis Sundheimer, both of Warsaw; and a son, Kerry of Cibolo, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Palestine (Ind.) cemetery. There is no visitation. Titus Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Marie A. Lippert

Nov. 21, 1913 - Sept. 12, 1998

NILES - - Marie A. Lippert, 84, of 203 Christiana Drive, died Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. She is survived by a daughter, Lynette Davis of Niles. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in Halbritter Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Samuel R. Macon

April 4, 1919 - Sept. 13, 1998

DOWAGIAC - - Samuel R. Macon, 79, of 209 Andrew Street, died Sunday in the home of his brother at 213 Andrew Street. Survivors include two sisters, Vera Andrews of Dowagiac and Juanita Conner of Mississippi; and two brothers, Wyndall and James, both of Dowagiac. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Conner - Mayo AME Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Groner Funeral Home, where a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m.

Edna E. Mund

Jan. 15, 1915 - Sept. 12, 1998

WINAMAC - Edna E. Mund, 83, of 1250 S. Indiana 119, died Saturday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Raymond A.; three sons, Robert A. and Michael, both of Kokomo, and Richard J. of Galveston, Ind.; a sister, Lois Bruns of Sacramento, Calif.; and a brother, Russell Cox of Zephyrhills, Fla. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Frain Mortuary, where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday. An Eagles Auxiliary service will be held at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Jan. 6, 1920 - Sept. 12, 1998

NILES - - Services for James J. "Jim" Stewart, 78, of 610 Vine St., who died Saturday in Lakeland Medical Center - Niles, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Halbritter Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour before services.

March 16, 1916 - Sept. 13, 1998

HAMLET - - Virginia (McFarland) Timm, 82, of Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Walkerton, formerly of Hamlet, died Sunday in the nursing home. Survivors include four sisters, Lois Ignafol of Elkhart, Beatrice Walberg of Osceola, Opal Cummings of Anaheim, Calif., and Mary Kershner of Roseburg, Ore.; and a brother, Arthur Lowery of Clinton, Ark. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hamlet Highway Chapel Church of God, where friends may call two hours before services. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Frank C. Wallace

Jan. 28, 1913 - Sept. 13, 1998

HANNA - - Frank C. Wallace, 85, of 15 E. Hopper St., died at 11:58 p.m. Sunday in Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home. Survivors include his wife, Georgia; and a son, Glenn of Hanna. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hanna United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte.

Rozella J. Wilson

Oct. 18, 1917 - Sept. 14, 1998

ROCHESTER - Rozella J. Wilson, 80, of 3537 E. County Road 500 North, died Monday in her home. Survivors include her husband, Richard O. "Dick"; a daughter, Sarah Gardiner of St. Ignace, Mich.; four sons, Jay and Halbert, both of Rochester, Noel of Inman, Kan., and David of Indianapolis; three sisters, Eulalia G. Warner of Columbus, Ind., Grace Bock of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Margaret Read of Indianapolis; and a brother, Richard Ewer of Greensburg, Ind. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Macy Christian Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Zimmerman Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dwight V. Yoder

Feb. 14, 1914 - Sept. 12, 1998

GOSHEN - - Dwight V. Yoder, 84, of Greencroft Health Care Center, formerly of Hampton Circle, died at 3:10 a.m. Saturday in the center. Survivors include two daughters, Judith Denlinger of Worthington, Ohio, and Barbara Stahly of Goshen; a son, John E. of Bryan, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Vaughn Smith, Wilma Yoder and Marjory Rohrer, all of West Liberty, Ohio; and three brothers, Wayne of Goshen, Gail of West Liberty and John M. of Fort Collins, Colo. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in College Mennonite Church, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Rieth, Rohrer & Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, is handling arrangements.

Marion B. Young

ROCHESTER - Marion Burke Young, 81, of 10375 W. County Road 400 North, died Monday in the home of his sister at 140 S. County Road 1100 West, Kewanna. Survivors include a sister, Anajean Peterson of Kewanna; and three brothers, Delbert V., Elbert V. and Lowell Young, all of Rochester. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Foster & Good Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before services Wednesday.

Aug. 15, 1911 - July 16, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Emma J. Bates, 86, of Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, formerly of Maple Lane, died Thursday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Susan A. Sumption of South Bend; and a son Edwin L. Bates of Van Wert, Ohio. Welsheimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

WALKERTON - - Florence Elizabeth Bierly, 88, of 8505 Tippecanoe, died Saturday in Maplelawn Group Home. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Bierly of Walkerton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Nusbaum - Elkin Funeral Home.

Charles N. DeGraff

Nov. 15, 1929 - July 17, 1998

MISHAWAKA - - Charles "Chuck" Nelson DeGraff, 68, of Smith Street, died Friday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Rowena (DeMike); four daughters, June Walker of Mishawaka, Susan Downey of California, Merri Ann DeGraff of El Segundo, Calif., and Cathy Burks of Osceola; three sons, James of Dallas, Kenny of Mishawaka and Charles Jr. of Osceola; and two sisters, Norma DeGraff of South Bend and Flora Wetstone of Buchanan, Mich. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Charles R. Difley

May 5, 1918 - July 17, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Charles Rogers Difley, 80, of McGregor Street, died Friday in Regency Place of South Bend. Survivors include his wife, Tatiana; a daughter, Catherine Kush of South Bend; a son, Craig of South Bend; a sister, Virginia Thomas of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and two brothers, David of California and Albert of Laguna Beach, Calif. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Dec. 31, 1974 - July 17, 1998

MISHAWAKA - - Jamie M. Husband, 23, of Emerald Court, was dead on arrival Friday at St. Joseph Community Hospital of a gunshot wound. Survivors include his mother, Sandra Morton of Memphis, Tenn.; and his father, Max E. Husband of Walkerton. Services will be at noon Monday in Hahn Funeral Home, where friends may call two hours before service time.

J. Elmer Jensen

Oct. 22, 1909 - July 13, 1998

MISHAWAKA - - J. Elmer Jensen, 88, of Sedalia, Mo., formerly of Mishawaka, died Monday in Four Seasons Living Center, Sedalia. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Jensen Antibus of Sedalia and Jane Jensen of New Orleans; and a brother, Emil Jensen of Stanwood, Wash. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in First Presbyterian Church. Hackert/Gillespie Funeral Home, Sedalia, handled arrangements.

MISHAWAKA - - Blanche M. Kern, 76, of Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Mary's Ohio, formerly of Mishawaka, died Friday in the retirement community. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Arps of Celina, Ohio. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church. Miller Funeral Home, St. Mary's Ohio, is handling arrangements.
