SOUTH BEND - Sister M. St. Jean (Mary Geraldine) Howl, 76, of St. Mary's Convent, Notre Dame, died Monday in the convent. Survivors include three sisters, Mary E. Howl of Bethany, Okla., Mrs. James Dasehbach of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Norbert LeBouef of Palm Springs, Calif.; and a brother, John D. Howl of Oklahoma City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Church of Loretto at St. Mary's College, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday and a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Hickey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Edith G. Radandt

Oct. 12, 1917 - July 19, 1998

NORTH LIBERTY - Edith G. Radandt, 80, of 28276 New Road, died Sunday in her home. Survivors include two sons, Udo and Klaus - Dieter, both of North Liberty. Memorial services will be at a later date. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday in A.M. Manuel Funeral Home.

John Ringhoffer

May 26, 1936 - July 19, 1998

MISHAWAKA - John Ringhoffer, 62, of Oakland Drive, died Sunday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; a daughter, Marianne E. Gallimore of Mishawaka; two sons, John V. and Steven J., both of Mishawaka; and two sisters, Mary Bukas of Csesznek, Hungary, and Brzsebet Gombas of Syombathely, Hungary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today.

Brenda G. Stockdale

May 12, 1954 - July 19, 1998

MISHAWAKA - Brenda G. Stockdale, 44, of East Fourth Street, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, of natural causes. Survivors include her husband, John Jr.; two daughters, Jessica Borowiec of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Tatum Tolbert of Mishawaka; and three sisters, Glenda F. Morgan of South Bend and Teresa V. Null and Lisa A. Hazelip, both of Mishawaka. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Thallemer - Goethals Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before services Thursday.

Nicholas A. Voreis

Sept. 27, 1978 - July 19, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Nicholas A. Voreis, 19, of Kenilworth Road, died at 4 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, following a motorcycle - car accident at U.S. 31 and Madison Road. Survivors include his mother, Penny K. Voreis of South Bend; and a brother, Rick L. of South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home.

James Welles

July 6, 1929 - July 17, 1998

SOUTH BEND - James Welles, 69, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, died Friday in the center. There will be no services or visitation. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Robert W. Callander

May 2, 1918 - Oct. 17, 1998

NAPPANEE - Robert W. Callander, 80, of 416 Hickory Lane, died Saturday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Merriel; two daughters, Deborah Yoder of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Susan Jacobson of St. Paul, Minn.; a son. Robert L. of Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Ruth Tompkins of Myrtle Creek, Ore. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Nappanee United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thompson - Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home and one hour before services Tuesday in the church.

Juanita Dickey

THREE OAKS - Juanita Dickey, 87, of Oak Street, died Friday in Jordan's Nursing Home, Bridgman. Survivors include two daughters, Reva Ryan of Lakeside and Marjorie Crandall of Las Vegas; a son, Eugene E. of Three Oaks; two sisters, Ruth Warren and Esther Thomas, both of Three Oaks; and two brothers, William Martin and Robert Martin, both of Three Oaks. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pobocik Funeral Home, Connelly - Noble Chapel, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Paul F. Harris

Nov. 28, 1937 - Oct. 15, 1998

PIERCETON - Paul F. Harris, 61, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Pierceton, died at 5:53 a.m. Thursday in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Prater of Warsaw, Debbie Clark of Spartanburg, S.C., and Susan Branham of Prestonsburg, Ky.; a son, Mike of Mentone; two sisters, Josephine Norris of Warsaw and Georgia Shepherd of Prestonsburg; and two brothers, Fred of Warsaw and Jack, of Chandler, Ind. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hillcrest cemetery. There will be no visitation. McHatton - Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw, is handling arrangements.

March 25, 1934 - Oct. 16, 1998

ELKHART - - Donna J. Pappas, 64, of 29981 County Road 18, died Friday in her home. Survivors include her husband, Alex; a daughter Tina Oblinger of Elkhart; a son, Larry of Elkhart; and a brother, John Lintz of Constantine. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Westbrook - Metz & Clouse Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.

ELKHART - - Albert E. Richardson, 60, of 2000 Grant St., died Friday in Elkhart General Hospital after an illness. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Rebecca Adams of Pendleton, Ind.; and two brothers, Donald of Scituate, Maine, and Robert of Boynton Beach, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Walley - Mills - Zimmerman Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before services on Tuesday.

EDWARDSBURG - - Beverly M. Stampfl, 72, of 26356 Redfield Road, died Friday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Survivors include a daughter, Gail K. Dohse of Edwardsburg; a son, Michael McInally Sr. of Florida; a sister, Arline Pepin of Manchester, N.H.; and a brother, David Mason of Manchester. There will be no service or visitation. Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Michael D. Craig

March 4, 1960 - October 15, 1998

MISHAWAKA - - Michael D. Craig, 38, of 737 E. Fourth St., died Thursday in his home. The death is being investigated by Deputy Coroner Chuck Hurley. Survivors include a daughter, January Craig of South Bend. There will be no service or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.

Kuristen Shavontae Hernton

SOUTH BEND - Kuristen Shavontae Hernton, daughter of Sheletha M. Hernton of North Brookfield Street and LaParis G. Moore of South Bend, was dead at birth Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Alford's Mortuary. There will be no visitation.

SOUTH BEND - - Lessie Jones, 86, of Rockne Drive, died Thursday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a son, Calvin of Senatobia, Miss. Services will be at 1 p.m Tuesday in Alford's Mortuary, where friends may call one hour before services.

Raymond A. Matthys

SOUTH BEND - - Raymond A. Matthys, 78, of Crumstown Highway, died Friday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Florence (Meert); three daughters, Elaine Verleye, Marcia Sima and Ann Ring, all of South Bend; two sons, Kenneth and John, both of South Bend; a sister, Martha Van Overberghe of South Bend; and a brother, Rene of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

Michael Andrew Maxwell

June 28, 1984 - Oct. 14, 1998

SOUTH BEND - - Michael Andrew Maxwell, 14, of South Pulaski Street, died Wednesday, in Life Line Children's Hospital, Indianapolis, of injuries from a car - bicycle accident on Aug. 30. Survivors include his parents, Herbert L. and Connie Maxwell of South Bend; and two brothers, William Avance and Herbert Maxwell, both of South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Alford's Mortuary.
