SHIPSHEWANA - Raymond "Frank" Skirvin, 82, of 3580 N. County Road 775 West, died Wednesday in Vencor Hospital, LaGrange. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Sharon Weaver of Virginia and Janet King of Indianapolis; a sister, Mary Robinson of Bloomington, Ind.; and two brothers, Robert of Columbus, Ind., and Clarence of Bloomington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Westbrook - Metz & Clouse Funeral Home, Elkhart, where friends may call two hours before services.

William E. Von Olnhausen

April 5, 1923 - Sept. 23, 1998

HOWE - William E. Von Olnhausen, 75, of 0180 E. County Road 70 North, died Wednesday in Vencor Hospital, LaGrange. Survivors include his wife, Trella M. (Howard); a daughter, Ann Louise Guldin of Adrian, Mich.; and a son, James E. of Batavia, Ill. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Frurip - May Funeral Home, LaGrange, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Mary L. Howard

Oct. 11, 1917 - Sept. 23, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Mary L. Howard, 80, of West Jefferson Boulevard, died at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Survivors include two sons, O.C. Battle of Milwaukee, and R.C. Pickens of South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Testament Baptist Church, where friends may call an hour before services. Alford's Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Charles Hart
29 November 2001

DALE, Ind. - Charles Hart, 73, of Dale died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville from heart complications. The Boonville, Ind., native pastored at Johnson's Chapel for more than 20 years and retired from Winkler's Warehouse in Dale in 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Fae Hart, in 1993; and a son, Charles Rodney Hart, in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Nick Hart of Gentryville, Ind., and Keith Hart of Wadesville, Ind.; two daughters, Kathy Seifrig of Dale and Jane Dyson of Evansville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Miller of Chrisney, Ind.; and a stepsister, Shirley Nix of Boonville.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory, Dale chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memory cemetery near Dale. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Stewart Houze Jr.
29 November 2001

DALE, Ind. - Stewart Houze Jr., 55, of Dale died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in Tennyson, Ind., from a heart attack. The Lawrenceburg, Ind., native was self-employed in the craft business and was an Army veteran, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Rousch Houze; his mother, Dorothy Houze of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Robert Houze of Virginia; and two sisters, Margie Holliday and Jolee Wullenweber, both of Lawrenceburg.

Private services are today at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory, Dale chapel. Burial will be at a later date.

Harry L. Gebhard
17 October 2001

EVANSVILLE - Harry L. Gebhard, 80, of Evansville, formerly of Rockport, Ind., died Oct. 15, 2001, at Good Samaritan Home in Evansville. The Rockport native was an ARC welder at Servel Arkla for 25 years and retired from Pre-Way after 10 years. He was a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge No. 464, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine and Veterans of Foreign Wars 2953. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. Gebhard, in 1995; and a son, Michael Gebhard, in 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Ingalla of San Diego; and three grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in Grandview (Ind.) cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Post 254. Masonic services are at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Anastasia Krekelas

Dec. 28, 1916 - Sept. 20, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Anastasia Krekelas, 81, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in the nursing home. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church. Danilewicz Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Sharon A. Oste

July 21, 1941 - Sept. 23, 1998

MISHAWAKA - Sharon A. Oste, 57, of Jamestown Court, died Wednesday in St. Joseph Community Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Webb of Uncasville, Conn.; and her mother, Opal Theede of Mishawaka. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Woodland, where friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Saundra L. Six

Jan. 9, 1936 - Sept. 23, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Saundra Lee Six, 62, of North Olive Street, died Wednesday in her home. Survivors include her husband, Harry A.; two sons, Aaron A. and Kevin P., both of South Bend; and two sisters, Arlene Gregory of South Bend and Judy Batchelor of Ogden, Utah. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Georgia A. Davidson

Feb. 22, 1928 - July 18, 1998

BUCHANAN - - Georgia A. Davidson, 70, of 121 W. Chicago St., died Saturday in her home. Survivors include six daughters, Jackie Harrelson of Olney, Ill., Becky Price, Diane Baxter, Rosemary Crossno and Georgia Gustafson, all of Niles, and Joann Hanson of Elsberry, Mo.; a son, Lynn of Buchanan; a sister, Pauline Synold of Buchanan; and two brothers, James Topash of Niles and Bernard Topash of Buchanan. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Dowagiac. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Swem Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

Virgil M. Kettering

July 30, 1924 - July 18, 1998

ELKHART - - Virgil M. Kettering, 73, of Rosewood Terrace Nursing Home, died Saturday in the nursing home. Survivors include his mother, Margaret McPherson of Arcadia, Fla. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Rice cemetery. Friends may call one hour before service time. Hartzler - Gutermuth - Inman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

John C. Kirkwood

March 30, 1926 - July 17, 1998

NAPPANEE - - John C. Kirkwood, 72, of 404 E. Broad St., died Friday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Helen; a daughter, Yvonne Reed of Nappanee, two sons, John of Syracuse and Neill of Nappanee; a sister, Helen Kirk of Chesterfield, England; and three brothers, Edward of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Robert and Thomas, both of Chesterfield. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Thompson - Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Faustin W. Klosinski

March 9, 1914 - July 18, 1998

MICHIGAN CITY - - Faustin W. Klosinski, 84, of Hoyt Street, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony Memorial Health Centers. Survivors include his wife, Gladys "Lottie"; three daughters, Anita Albano of Michigan City, Theresa Greene of Fort Myers, Fla., and Patricia Caddo of Duneland Beach, Ind.; and a sister, Angeline Johnson of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Ott/Haverstock Funeral Home.

Marjorie B. O'Bringer

LAPORTE - - Marjorie B. O'Bringer, 78, of 2110 K St., died at 7:22 p.m. Friday in LaPorte Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie H. Arrington of Ellisville, Miss.; and a brother, Ben Clifford of Zephyrhills, Fla. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in LaPorte First Church of God. Friends may call from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in Haverstock Funeral Home and 1:30 until services Tuesday in the church.

MISHAWAKA - Clara T. Banicki, 84, of Countryside Place Nursing Home, died Monday in St. Joseph Community Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Nijak of Granger; and three sisters, Annette Goralski, Theresa Botka and Alice Lewandowski, all of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

SOUTH BEND - Helen Buszkiewicz, 91, of Regency Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of 437 S. Bendix St., died Monday in the nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

Mary A. Dabros

May 9, 1922 - Nov. 2, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Mary A. (Janiszczak) Dabros, 76, of East Eckman Street, died Monday in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a daughter, Karen A. Anderson of Atlanta; a son, Kenneth C. of South Bend; two sisters, Loretta Zmyslo and Rita Ruszkowski, both of South Bend; and a brother, Joseph Janiszczak of South Bend. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Polish Roman Catholic cemetery. There will be no visitation. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

William L. Dean

MISHAWAKA - William L. Dean, 64, of South Virgil Street, died Oct. 22 in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where friends may call from two hours before services.

MISHAWAKA - - Rose Fishman, 92, of Hooverwood Nursing Home, Indianapolis, formerly of Mishawaka, died Sunday in Winona Memorial Hospital, Indianapolis. Survivors include two sons, Stuart C. of South Bend and S. James of Indianapolis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hebrew Orthodox cemetery. There is no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.

Milo D. Griggs

OSCEOLA - Milo D. Griggs, 88, of Price Street, died Sunday in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lydeen of South Bend; and a brother, Charles of Mishawaka. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
