SOUTH BEND - Charles Franklin Keltner, 82, of Renfrew Drive, died Monday in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Survivors include his wife, Zelda M. (Annis); two daughters, Marilyn Roose of Indianapolis and Margaret "Peggy" Blakeley of New Fairfield, Conn. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Faith United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.

Ernest J. Koro

Jan. 29, 1922 - Nov. 2, 1998

GRANGER - Ernest J. Koro, 76, of Branchwood Lane, died Monday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Survivors include his wife, Nettie A.; and a brother, Albert Carroll of Elkhart. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Eva Kruse

March 17, 1913 - Oct. 30, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Eva Kruse, 85, of Rocklin, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Sunrise Healthcare, Roseville, Calif. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Hinton of Rocklin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, where friends may call one hour before services and a wake service will be at 7 p.m. today. Palmer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Henrietta J. Pletcher

March 18, 1904 - Nov. 2, 1998

LAKEVILLE - Henrietta J. Pletcher, 94, of Riley Road, formerly of North Johnson Street, died Monday in her home. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Grover of Argos and Barbara Varga of South Bend; two sons, Arthur J. of Riverview, Fla. and Charles W. of South Bend; two sisters, Odelia Miller of North Liberty and Agnes LeFevere of Fort Recovery, Ohio; and a brother, Ferd Steinbrunner of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and a rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Dec. 18, 1950 - Oct. 31, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Karen Sue Turner, 47, of North Main Street, died Saturday in her home of natural causes. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie; a daughter, Jacci Lane of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Jon and Darryl, both of South Bend; her parents, Clara and George Foree of South Bend; and a brother, George Jr. of South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Alford's Mortuary, where friends may call one hour before services.

Charlotte I. Cooper

Dec. 27, 1928 - July 22, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Charlotte I. Cooper, 69, of Oakland Avenue, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Susan J. Cooper of South Bend; a son, William E. Cooper II of Mishawaka; a sister, Snowden J. Dierks of Sidney, Ind.; and a brother, Stanley Custer of Milford. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Christ the King Church, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday. Zahoran Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dr. Hugh W. Francour

March 21, 1918 - July 23, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Dr. Hugh William Francour, 80, of Hamstead Court, died Thursday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn B. (Anderson); a daughter, Sandra Francour of San Francisco; two sons, Robert of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Charles of Traverse City, Mich.; and three sisters, Lela Brew of Clearwater, Fla., Olive Murray of Niagara, Wis., and Lucille Lord of Green Bay, Wis. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Clay United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Katherine L. Romine

Dec. 19, 1917 - July 23, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Katherine L. Romine, 80, of 20531 Darden Road, died Thursday in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Survivors include her husband, Warren W.; and two daughters, Beverly Borr and Madge Krawczyk, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Sybil L. Springman

July 28, 1906 - July 23, 1998

LAKEVILLE - Sybil L. Springman, 91, of Mulberry Road, died Thursday in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon L. Dare of Stockton, Calif., and Marilyn K. Oden of Lakeville; two sisters, Irene Bell and Byrdie Searfoss, both of Walkerton; and two brothers, Max Dreibelbis of Arlington, Texas, and Norman Dreibelbis of LaPorte. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Lakeville United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, and an hour before services Monday in the church.

Zofia Wozny

Nov. 10, 1927 - July 22, 1998

NEW CARLISLE - Zofia Wozny, 70, of North Willow Lane, died Wednesday in her home. Survivors include two sisters, Antonette M. Wozny of New Carlisle and Michelene Niedzwiedz of Poland. Services will be Saturday. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St.

Helen M. Burns

Sept. 15, 1918 - Oct. 8, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Helen Margaret (Baker) Burns, 80, of Federal Way, Wash., formerly of South Bend, died Oct. 8 in Federal Way. Survivors include two daughters, Mary M. Burns Cohen of Dallas and Nancy C. Burns Canzio of Italy; a son, Patrick J. of Sheridan, Ind.; five sisters, Ruth White of Portland, Ore., Martha Klevjer of Federal Way, Frances Sopher of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Nancy Marcusson of Fallbrook, Calif., and Phyllis Roy of Warsaw; and two brothers, Robert Baker of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, and James Baker of San Raphael, Calif. Memorial services were held Oct. 12 in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Federal Way. Bleitz Funeral Home, Federal Way, handled arrangements.

Mary L. Dockery

April 24, 1944 - Oct. 18, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Mary L. Dockery, 54, of West Ford Street, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Davis and Gloria Dockery, both of South Bend, and Margaret Hamlin of Denver; a son, Sylvester of South Bend; three sisters, Alice Munn, Annie R. Dockery and Betty G. Bell, all of Memphis, Tenn.; and a brother, J.C. Dockery of Memphis. Services will be at noon Friday in Alford's Mortuary, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Henry D. Hagedorn

May 28, 1923 - Oct. 20, 1998

NEW CARLISLE - Henry D. Hagedorn, 75, of Fountainview Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LaPorte, formerly of New Carlisle, died Tuesday in the nursing home. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca S. Zarobinski of South Bend and Debra L. Kiska of Mishawaka; and a son, David A. of New Carlisle. Services will be at 11 a.m. (Michigan time) Friday in Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Donald W. Miller

May 21, 1952 - Oct. 18, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Donald W. "Donnie" Miller, 46, of Boone, N.C., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in Janesville, Wis., of an apparent heart attack. Survivors include his wife, Erin; a daughter, Kristen Miller of Boone; three sons, Scott Hanson of South Bend and Jonathan Curtis and James Miller, both of North Carolina; his parents, Donald Lawson of Mishawaka and Geraldine (Cote) and Worth Miller of Boone; four sisters, Lauri Lawson of Mishawaka and Susan Miller, Janice Lawson - Bloss and Denise Bentkowski, all of South Bend; and two brothers, Mark Lawson of Arkon, Ohio, and Dennis Lawson of DeKalb, Ill. Services were held in Boone. Barney Hampton Funeral Home, Boone, handled arrangements.

Reva G. Tedrow

July 16, 1927 - Oct. 17, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Reva G. Tedrow, 71, of 316 S. St. Joseph Street, died Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Grooms of South Bend; a son, Ronnie Roberts of South Bend; three sisters, June Grant of Detroit, Awyne Walls of Kingsport, Tenn., and Elouise Parks of Davy, W.Va.; and a brother, John Wheeler Jr. of Virginia. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Community Room of St. Joseph Towers. Forest G. Hay is in charge of arrangements.

LIGONIER - Adrian M. Archer, 85, of County Road 450 West, died Friday in his home after an illness. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Leamon of Granger and Sandra Morden of Bellaire, Mich.; and a brother, Clair of Cromwell. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Cromwell United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Ulrey - Renner Funeral Home.

Harry J. Berndt

Oct. 18, 1924 - July 23, 1999

BRIDGMAN - Harry J. Berndt, 74, of Baldwin Road, died Friday in Lakeland Medical Center - St. Joseph. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Helen Ent of New Buffalo; a son, Harry L. of Marietta, Ga.; and a sister, Betty Berndt of Bangor, Mich. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Woodland Shores Baptist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Boyd Funeral Home.
