GRANDVIEW, Ind. - Mary Janet "Chrisney" Lloyd, 79, of Grandview died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. The Chrisney, Ind., native was a homemaker, a Holy Cross Lutheran Church member and a 56-year member of Santa Claus American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Grandview Civic Association, worked at C.V. Jones, Ken-Rad and Republic Aviation and was former owner and operator of Shady Lawn Dairy Bar in Grandview, Ind.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Joe Fred Lloyd; two sons, Fred Lloyd and Max Lloyd, both of Princeton, Ind.; three daughters, Linda Lloyd of Rockport, Ind., Donna Hafele and Dr. Brenda Troyer, both of Evansville; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a sister, Georgia Banks of Grandview; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rockport. Burial will be in Grandview cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Louise Green

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Louise Green, 73, of Rockport died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. The Eureka, Ind., native was a member of Bethel Christian Center in Reo, Ind. Her husband, James R. Green, died in 1996.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue Embry and Faye McBride, both of Rockport, Ind., and Sherry Wendel of Newburgh, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James Horn of Hatfield, Ind., and William Horn of Evansville.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Bethel Christian Center in Reo. Burial will be in James Parker cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport and after noon Monday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Bethel Christian Center or Leukemia Society of America.

Dorothy Hornback

RICHLAND, Ind. - Dorothy Hornback, 82, of Richland died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Evansville. The Lancaster, Ohio, native was a social worker and member of Richland United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Richland Chapter 418 Order of the Eastern Star and Senior Homemaker Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Hornback, in 1985; and a daughter, Sally Schaeffer, in 1972.

Survivors include a son, Edgar Hornback of Indianapolis; a daughter, Susie Carpenter of Richland; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.

Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind. Burial will be in Hackleman cemetery in Chrisney, Ind. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Eastern Star memorial services are at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Richland United Methodist Church or Hackleman cemetery.

Leo W. Graves

TELL CITY, Ind. - Leo W. Graves, 84, of Tell City died there Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. The Perry County native owned, operated and remained involved in Tell City Feed & Grain from 1955 to 1998 and graduated from Leopold High School in 1936. He was a member of American Legion Post 213, Veterans of Foreign Wars 2939 and St. Marks Catholic Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mildred Kellems Graves; five sons, Wayne Graves of Swanton, Ohio, Robert Graves and Dennis Graves, both of Charlestown, Ind., and Donald Graves and Richard Graves, both of Tell City; three daughters, Mary Kaye Zuelly of Santa Claus, Ind., and Janice Hackbarth and Susan Carman, both of Tell City; 15 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Betty Dowell of Hatfield, Ind.

Services are at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday at St. Marks Catholic Church near Tell City. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City chapel. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Perry County Community Foundation, St. Marks cemetery or Perry Central Athletic Fund.

Pius R. Evrard

TELL CITY, Ind. - Pius R. Evrard, 74, of Tell City died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville from respiratory failure. The Perry County, Ind., native retired from General Electric after 40 years of service and had been a merchant marine. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Bishop Chartrand Council 1172 and American Legion Post 213. He graduated from Tell City (Ind.) High School and enjoyed gardening, presidential history, hunting, fishing, baseball and cooking.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Corine Evrard; two sons, Wayne Evrard of Cleveland, Miss., and Warren Evrard of Newburgh, Ind.; a daughter, Joan Evrard of Nashville; a grandson; a granddaughter; two stepgrandsons; and a stepgranddaughter.

Services are at 2 p.m. EST Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Tell City. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Prayers and Knights of Columbus services will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Paul Catholic Church.

Dorothy P. Nicholson

ROCKPORT, Ind. - Dorothy P. Nicholson, 80, of Rockport died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at her home. The St. Mary's, W.Va., native was an accountant and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Ruth Circle in Rockport. She was a member of Golden Years Senior Citizen Club, Garnet Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Business and Professional Women's Club. Her husband, Roscoe F. Nicholson, died in 1993.

Survivors include three daughters, Martha Hanba of Madison, Ala., Susan Rudisill of Rockport and Myra Nicholson of Clearwater, Fla.; and a grandchild.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Rockport. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Spencer County (Ind.) Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Lester D. Pettit Jr.

CHRISNEY, Ind. - Lester D. Pettit Jr., 36, of Chrisney died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. The Owensboro native was an equipment operator and a member of Landmark Apostolic Bible Church in Rockport, Ind.

Survivors include his wife of 3 years, Neva Pettit; his parents, Lester D. Pettit and Margaret L. Hutchinson, both of Rockport; four brothers, Glendon R. Hutchison of Rockport, Marty Hutchison of Londonberry, Ohio, Daniel R. Hutchison of Tell City, Ind., and Michael A. Pettit of Owensboro; and five sisters, Katherine A. Murry of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Flossie E. Hutchison and Opal M. Pettit, both of Rockport, Margaret A. Hutchison of Londonberry and Debbie K. Pate of Newtonville, Ind.

Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in New Hope cemetery in Newtonville. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Pettit Family for funeral expenses, P.O. David E. Dixon

EVANSVILLE - David E. Dixon, 71, of Evansville, formerly of Cannelton, Ind., died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. The Cannelton native retired in 1988 from Alcoa after 22 years, was a veteran of the Army and Air Force and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 in Evansville, Harry G. Myers American Legion Post 142 in Cannelton and First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ingle Dixon; and a son, David Earl Dixon Jr.

Survivors include a son, Todd Dixon of Tell City; a stepson, Dan Stillwell of Tell City, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Sharon Eble of Boonville, Ind.; two grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Marion Dixon of Newburgh, Ind.; and a sister, Marjorie Zellers of Cannelton.

Services are at noon EST Saturday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City chapel. Burial will be in New Cliff cemetery in Cannelton. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

David Ray Howell

TELL CITY, Ind. - David Ray Howell, 39, of Tell City died Friday, March 15, 2002, at his home. The Perry County (Ind.) native graduated from Perry County High School and was an ironworker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting arrowheads.

Survivors include three brothers, Michael Howell and Rick Howell, both of Tell City, and Keith Howell of Leopold, Ind.; a sister, Kelli Braunecker of Cannelton, Ind.; four nephews; and six nieces.

Services are at 2 p.m. EST today at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial will be in Lilly Dale cemetery in Gatchel, Ind. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after noon Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lilly Dale cemetery.

Jorge Contreras-Rivera

CORYDON, Ind. - Jorge Contreras-Rivera, 39, of Corydon and Owensboro died Friday, March 22, 2002, in Corydon. The Campeche, Mexico, native was a laborer.

Survivors include his mother, Cristina Rivera-Hernanzez of Mexico.

Memorial services are at later date. There is no visitation. Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.

Harold A. Franzman

TELL CITY, Ind. - Harold A. Franzman, 79, of Tell City died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Newburgh (Ind.) Health Care Center. The Cannelton, Ind., native graduated from Cannelton High School and Indiana University and was a proofreader for Arizona Republic newspaper and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was director of personnel at General Electric in Tell City, Owensboro and Warren, Ohio, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. His wife of 54 years, Bettye J. Mills Franzman, died Dec. 12, 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Harold A. Franzman II and Pete E. Franzman, both of Tell City; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marian Bruggenschmidt of Tell City and Betty Jo Mattingly of Evansville.

Services are at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Private burial will be in Greenwood cemetery in Tell City. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Loyal Order of Moose services are at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. American Legion Post 213 will conduct military rites at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Perry County (Ind.) Memorial Hospital Foundation.
