Romel Robert Douglas

Funeral services for Romel Robert Douglas, 11, of New Albany, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, June 5, at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, New Albany, with burial in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died on Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of New Albany, a student at Silver Street Elementary School, and a member of Lamb of Ministries in New Albany.
Survivors include his mother, Burnetta Douglas; father, Robert T. Bradley; brothers, Mario Douglas and Dnario Douglas; sister, Marie Douglas; grandfather, Otis Taylor (Ella); grandmother, Beatrice Ransom (Kenneth); and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, 258 Ealy St. in New Albany.
Baity's Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Steven Neal Gardner
age 59; Kroger employee
Funeral services for Steven Neal Gardner, 59, of Loveland, Ohio, will be held at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, June 5, at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 Riverside Dr., Loveland, Ohio. He died Monday, June 2, 2003.
He worked as the Kroger Headquarters as a systems administrator and was an elder at West Mason Church of Christ.
Formerly of Clarksville, he was the beloved husband of Dianne Gardner; father of Anne (John) Tabor and Matthew (Linda) Gardner; grandfather of Drew and Dane Tabor; son of Nancy and the late Thurston Gardner and brother of Lee (Sharon) Gardner.
Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5 p.m. today.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Alta Ann Boyer
age 55; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Alta Ann Boyer, 55, of Jeffersonville, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at J.B. Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 2114 W. Market St., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Louisville. She died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was the former Alta Ann Smalley, a native of Kansas City, Mo., and was a housekeeping supervisor for River Falls Mall.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Boyer; a daughter, Debbie Gagliardi; two sons, Jeffery and Kirk Boyer; two grandchildren, Anthony and Rebecca Gagliardi; a brother, Charles Smalley; and her stepfather, Lee Meetze.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
James S. Irvine
age 63; self-employed mechanic
James S. Irvine, 63, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Louisville and a self-employed mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda F. Irvine; two brothers, Howard Irvine, Louisville, and Les Shuffitt, Jeffersonville; two sisters, Ann Baughman and Lillie Kendall, both of Louisville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.

Helen M. Weber
age 82; retired bookkeeper
Funeral services for Helen M. Weber, 82, of Clarksville, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. She died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Louisville and a retired bookkeeper for the old Clark County (Ind.) State Bank. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Weber Jr., Jeffersonville; a daughter, Diann W. Hillenbrand, Louisville; a sister, Ruth Fischer, Louisville; a grandson, Jim Weber; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Weber.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Clarksville Little Theatre, 301 East Montgomery Ave., Clarksville, IN 47129.
B.M. Adams
age 99; of New Albany
Funeral services for B.M. Adams, 99, of New Albany, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. She died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at the Green Valley Care Center in New Albany.
She was the former B.M. Laughary, a native of Webster County, Ky., the retired executive office manager for the former Glenmore Distillery where she worked for 20 years and a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Louisville.
Survivors include a close friend, Jack L. Richardson III, who cared for her.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Catherine M. Duggins
age 80; of New Albany
Funeral services for Catherine M. (Ritz) Duggins, 80, of New Albany, are pending. She died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
She resided at Providence Retirement Home for the past 13 years and was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany. She managed St. Mary's School Cafeteria for many years, was active in the Pocahontas Order of the Redmen, the Crusade for Children, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Hobart Beach Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, David Duggins, Sellersburg; two daughters, Sue Riely, Sellersburg, and Becky Brown, Georgetown; two sisters, Ruth Kahl and Jane Roehm; a brother, Vincent Ritz; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany.
Bessie G. Naudusas
age 97; of New Albany
Funeral services for Bessie G. Naudusas, 97, of New Albany, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. She died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Green Valley Care Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. Among survivors is her daughter, Ann Hoskins.
Madaline Summerfield
age 82; of New Albany
Funeral services for Madaline M. Summerfield, 82, of New Albany, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville, with interment in Edwardsville Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Sellersburg Health and Rehab.
She was a native of Louisville, and was the former Madaline M. Lawson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Kelley and Anita Mullins, both of New Albany; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rose Marie Napier
age 60; former nurse's aide
Graveside services for Rose Marie Napier, 60, of Jeffersonville, were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Pueblo, Colo. and a former nurse's aide for Spectracare. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church
Survivors include her husband, John Napier; two daughters, Dana J. Howell, East Peoria, Ill. and Tina Kennedy, Parma Heights, Ohio; four step daughters, Roxanne Bohm, Peoria, Ill., Debra Becker, Centerville, Iowa, Martha Rankin, Warsaw, Ky. and Sandy Wilkienson, Burnville, N.C.; a grandson, Billy Adkinson, Parma Heights, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Gavin and Lexy Byard, East Peoria, Ill.; four step grandchildren, Collin and Will Rankin, Warsaw, Ky., Christy Byard, East Peoria, Ill. and Chad Howell, Atlanta, Ga.; stepmother, Grace Siedl, New Albany; two brothers, Roger Siedl, Bedford and Gordan Gunterman, Bellville, Ill.; six sisters, Phyliss Brock, Jacksonville, Fla., Rose Mary Stratton, Bedford, Sandi Miller, Jeanne Palomares, Karen Seaton and Doris Gunterman, Peoria, Ill., an aunt, Louise Drake, Elleltesville and Albert Wilson, Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Siedl and Frances Marie Willard.

Lawrence William Sullivan
age 80; Army veteran
Funeral services for Lawrence William Sullivan, 80, of Clarksville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Hawkins Cemetery, Smiths Grove, Ky. He died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Newton, Md., and retired from the U.S. Army with 20 years service. Having served with the 101st Infantry Yankee Division during World War II and the
Korean War, he was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was also retired from the Jeffersonville Township Public Library and the Clarksville Police Department Public Safety Division.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Sullivan, New Albany and Roy B. Doyle, Sunset Beach, N.C.; a sister, Miriam Hession, West Dennis, Md.; four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred H. Sullivan.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
