Jean Marie Green
age 69; of Clarksville
Funeral services for Jean Marie Green, 69, of Clarksville, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Coots Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Townville, Penn., retired nurse from the former Hillcrest Nursing Home, Jeffersonville and a member of Springdale United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Green; two sons, James Green, Jeffersonville and Doug Green, Georgetown; two daughters, Barbara Whitman, Rouseville, Penn., and Pam Baiz, Jeffersonville; two brothers, Dwayne Sweet, Sandy Lake, Penn., and Robert Sweet, Lawton, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Brown, a sister, Juanita Watson and a brother, Jim Sweet.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 8.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Springdale United Methodist Church.
Don E. Hannon
age 57; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Don E. Hannon, 57, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 at Scott Funeral Home, North Chapel, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a retired maintenance worker and machinist for General Electric Appliance Park and L&N CSX Railroad. He was a GRC Little League coach for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Hannon; five sons, Thomas Hannon and his wife, Sarah, Sullivan, Shaun Hannon, James Hannon and Robert Hannon and his wife, Angie, all of Jeffersonville and William Hannon and his wife, Jennifer, Borden; a sister, Sharon Hannon, Plano, Texas and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Hannon and Gladys Hannon.
Visitation at the funeral home will be until 8 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, April 8.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
Bobbie Wayne Kirk
age 67; of Jeffersonville
Bobbie Wayne Kirk, 67, of Jeffersonville, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
The body was cremated with Coots Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Rhoda Marie Stocksdale
age 46; a homemaker
A memorial service Rhoda Marie Stocksdale, 46, of Otisco, will be 1 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at 1 p.m. at the Marysville Community Center. She died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at her home.
She was a native of Scottsburg and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, William Stocksdale; two sons, Richard Howard II, Scottsburg and Danny Ivers, Fort Wayne; a stepson, Michael Stocksdale, New Albany; a daughter, Jennifer Morrison, Marysville; stepdaughter, Melissa Hubbard, New Albany; father, Donald Bowlin, Chelsea; stepmother, Patricia Bowlin; six brothers and four sisters.
The body was cremated.

Carolyn E. Tucker Posley
age 84; of New Albany
Funeral services for Carolyn E. Tucker Posley, 84, of New Albany will be held on Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, 258 Ealy Street, New Albany, with burial in West Haven Cemetery. She passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Washington County, Ky. and a member of Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, New Albany.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis A. Thomas, New Albany; a son, Richard A. Posley, New Albany; two sisters, Charlotte K. Holland and Evelyn W. Smith, New Albany; four grandchildren, Eric W. Thomas, Portia L. Miles, Gregory A. Posley and Kelley R. Guess; 12 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Posley; father, Samuel Tucker; mother, Mary T. Kimbrough; and her brothers, St. Elmo Tucker and John Robert Kimbrough.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the "Save Our Church Fund" of Jones Memorial AME Zion Church.

age 88; of New Albany
Funeral services for Valerie L. Price, 88, of New Albany passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Rolling Hills Nursing Home, New Albany.
She was the former Valerie Lisenby of Sullivan County, Tennessee, and a former Realtor. She is survived by two nieces and two nephews. The body was cremated.

Kathleen "Katie" Strauss
age 80; of New Albany
Funeral services for Kathleen "Katie" Strauss, 80, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Kraft Funeral Chapel, with burial in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
She was a native of Kentucky, a resident of New Albany for the last 60 years, a former 15 year employee of Floyd County Headstart, and a member of the Vietnam Veterans Post #1, New Albany.
She was survived by a son, George Strauss, Jr, New Albany, a daughter, Lee Robison, New Albany; six grandchildren, Neal Robison, Nancy Robison Hicks, Wendy Robison Richert, Bart Strauss, Jeff Strauss, and Lauren Strauss; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Johnny Strauss.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Home on Charlestown Road.

age 88; of Louisville
Mary "Dottie" Brooks, 88, of Louisville, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Christian Health Center, Louisville.
She was a native of Louisville and a member of Portland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, Louisville.
Survivors include a sister, Elsie Stone; a grandson, Derrick Smith and two cousins, Roberta and Harold Elzy who cared for her.

Funeral services for Lemuel Edward Greer Sr. 78, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. He died Monday, June 2, 2003.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
Dennis Lawler
age 58; former Jeffersonville resident
Funeral services for Dennis Lawler, 58, a former resident of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Coots Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was a former resident of Jeffersonville, retired from General Information Services as a insurance investigator and attended Violet Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School, attended Indiana University and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He was a member of PRO, enjoyed fishing, traveling, flea markets, gun shows and photography.
A funeral service will also be held at 7 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, June 3, at Dwyane R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 North Pickerington, Ohio. Friends can send condolences to the family at www.spencefuneralhome.com.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Joanne Lawler; a son, Gerald Lawler, Pickerington, Ohio; a sister, Jerry Lee McDonough, Jeffersonville; two nieces, Mollie and Megan McDonough, Jeffersonville; a nephew, Mark Moore, Parma, Ohio and sister-in-laws, Linda Scarberry, Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Geraldine Lawler.
