Funeral services for Ronnie Meredith, 38, of Underwood, were held this morning, Monday, Dec. 2, at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, with burial in New Chapel Cemetery. He died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002.
Among the survivors includes his wife, Delores.
Donald Ray Humphrey
age 44; of New Albany
Funeral services for Donald Ray "Donnie" Humphrey, 44, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Central Barren Cemetery. He died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1958, son of the late Dillon and Margaret Humphrey. He was a native of New Albany, and a former employee at Forth Industries and General Waterproofing.
Survivors include a son, Chad Humphrey, Greenville; a daughter, Christina Carothers, Clarksville, Ga.; two stepsons, James and Donald Lackey, New Albany; three brothers, Gary Humphrey, Clarksville, Raymond Humphrey, New Albany, and Jack Humphrey, Louisville; three sisters, Helen Coomer, New Albany, Bobbie Manship, Orleans, and Patty Brown, Oklawaha, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
Leo E. Lang
age 83; of Floyds Knobs
Funeral services for Leo E. Lang, 83, of Floyds Knobs, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Seabrook Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. He died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of Floyds Knobs, and a retired line operator and maintenance worker for the old Hooker Chemical Company and a retired farmer. He was also a member of Northside Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Lang, Floyd Knobs; two sons, Alvin L. Lang and Dwight E. Lang, Floyds Knobs; three sisters, Margaret Buechler, Edith Fenwick and Aileen Jenkins, Floyds Knobs; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 2, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
Lillie F. Ivey-North
age 87; of New Albany
Funeral services for Lillie Florence Ivey-North, 87, of New Albany, will be held Sunday, Dec. 1, at Ivey Hill Baptist Church, with burial in Ivey Hill Cemetery
in Underwood. She died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Rolling Hills Health Care Center, New Albany.
She was a native of Barbourville, Ky., and a former homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Carpenter, New Albany, and Rosa Syre, Scottsburg; three sons, Lee Ivey and Bobby Ivey, Austin, and Ralph Ivey, Scottsburg; a brother, Ernest Fuson, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday at the church.
Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
Mary J. Morgan
age 92; of New Albany
Funeral services for Mary J. Morgan, 92, of New Albany, were held at 11 a.m. this morning, Monday, Dec. 2, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 222 West Market St., Louisville with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, New Albany. She died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit in Louisville.
She was the former Mary J. Copler and a native of New Albany. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Louisville.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Hedges, Louisville; daughter and son-in-law, Mollie and Donald Steffan, Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl O'Brien of Marinsville; two sons, Frank O'Brien, Phoenix, Ariz., and Denny O'Brien, Louisville; a sister-in-law, Clarion Copler, New Albany; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews.
Visitation was held Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany.

Leonard Schrank Sr.
age 68; of Floyd Knobs
Leonard Schrank Sr., 68, of Floyds Knobs, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at his home. A memorial service was held today, Monday, Dec. 2, at St. Mary of Navilleton Catholic Church.
The body was donated to the University of Louisville Medical School.

age 89; of New Albany
Funeral services for Monroe Southers, 89, of New Albany, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Baity's Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial at West Haven Cemetery, New Albany.
He was a native of New Albany, and former employee of ICI Americas, Charlestown.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 2, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
George Darrell Wingate
age 85; of New Albany
Funeral services for George Darrell Wingate, 85, of New Albany, will be held at a later date. He died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was preceded in death by granddaughters, Pam and Tiffany Yeast.
Survivors include daughter, Judy Yeast and her husband, David; a granddaughter, Kristin, her husband, Jim and their children, Tanner and Estella and granddaughter, Karysa; daughter, Beverly Yeater, granddaughter, Angie and her children, Nikko and Selina, and granddaughter, Tabitha, and her child, Analicia; son, Roger Wingate, his wife, Dixie, grandson, Jay and his child, Erin, granddaughter, Julie and her husband, Kurt and their children, Dianna, Nathan and Micah and granddaughter, McKenna; two sisters in Monroe, La.; and a special friend, Maye Bell Speak.

age 73; of Corydon
Funeral services for Mavis L. Hannel, 73, of Corydon, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Blue River Chapel Cemetery, Corydon. She died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Wayne T. Hannel.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 and after 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Beatrice R. Stilger
age 88; of Lanesville
Funeral services for Beatrice R. Stilger, 88, of Lanesville, were today, Monday, Dec. 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lanesville, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. She died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at her home in Lanesville.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Annes Society.
Survivors include three sons, Larry and Ronald Stilger, Lanesville, and Darrel Stilger of Urban, Ohio; three sisters, Virginia Lillpop and Imelda Zollman, Lanesville, and Jeanette Kiefer, Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home, Corydon.

Funeral services for Norman Eugene Barr, 76, of Louisville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., Louisville, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. He died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Among the immediate survivors include his wife, Mary Adolene Barr.
