Hayden J. Hurst
age 92; of New Albany
Funeral services for Hayden J. Hurst, 92, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Kraft Funeral Home, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Green Valley Care Center, New Albany.
He was retired from the old Stratton and Terstegg Co., Louisville and a member of the New Albany Lodge 39 F & AM. He was also a member of Teamsters Local 89.
Survivors include his wife, the former Frances Exley; two stepsons, John E. White, New Albany and Charles N. White, Charlestown and a daughter, Doris Wheatley Guice, Atlanta,Ga.
Carl F. Andres
age 90; of Starlight
Funeral services for Carl F. "Sep" Andres, 90, of Starlight, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at St. John of Starlight Catholic Church, with burial in St. John of Starlight Catholic Church Cemetery. He died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He retired after 28 years of service at the Oil Equipment and Manufacturing Company and was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of St. John of Starlight Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Cardinal Ritter Council 1221 in New Albany and American Legion Rivercity Post 42 in Floyds Knobs.
The son of the late Joseph and Bertha Receveur Andres, he was born Feb. 9, 1913 in Floyd County.
Survivors include three sons, Carl Jerry Andres DDS of Indianapolis, Joseph Andres, New Albany and Marlin Andres, Starlight; eight daughters, Janet Regan and Jackie Colin, Floyds Knobs, Ginny Balmer and Connie Missi, Starlight, Joyce Young, Sellersburg, Judy Sullivan, Louisville and Regina Cox and Shelly Cox, Jeffersonville; a brother, Paul Andres, Floyds Knobs; three sisters, Erma Bodenstadt, LaMesa,Calif., Martha Striegel, Floyds Knobs and Gladys Koetter, Borden; 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella "Sis" Kruer; a daughter, Marcia Andres; two brothers, Anthony and Ambrose "Booty" Andres and a sister, Alma Striegel.
Visitation at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 6. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Starlight Foundation or American Heart Association.
Richard Brian Bauerla
age 45; of Charlestown
Funeral services for Richard Brian Bauerla, 45, of Charlestown will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Charlestown. He died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at his home.
He was a native of Jeffersonville, a member of Utica Lodge 337 F & AM and a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his father, Donald E. Bauerla, Jeffersonville; his step-mother, Barbara Bauerla, Jeffersonville; a brother, Jeff Bauerla, Charlestown; four sisters, Amelia McDougle and Dawn Bauerla, both of Jeffersonville, Amy Sparks, Sellersburg and Madonna Bauerla, Henryville; and two step-sisters, Lee Ann Money, Clarksville and Tery Doyle, Sellersburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Stewart Bauerla.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Charlestown. Scott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James "Jim" Farris
age 45; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for James "Jim" Farris, 45, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at Coots Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. He died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Louisville.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Koltz Farris, Jeffersonville; a brother, David Farris, Akron, Oh. and two sisters, Katrina Grant, Port Saint Lucie, Fl. and Michele McGloshen, Jeffersonville.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Farris.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday.

Willie Eva Ford Green
age of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Willie Eva Ford Green of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Lincoln Park Baptist Church, Ninth and French Street, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center, Jeffersonville.
She was a native of Cuthbert, Ga. and a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ruth Sison, Louisville and Kathryn Frances Green and Betty Green, Jeffersonville; two sons, James C. Ervin and Kenneth Henry Green, Jeffersonville; a brother, Rev. John H. Ford, Jeffersonville; two sisters, Emma Zell Moody and Daisy M. Baker, Jeffersonville; 21 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the church will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 and after 10 a.m. Monday.

James Reuben Holmes
age 58; retired butcher
Funeral services for James Reuben Holmes, 58, of Clarksville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at Jackson County Hospital, Seymour.
He was a native of McRoberts, Ky., and a retired butcher for Koch Beef in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Collier; his mother, Dorothy Holmes, Clarksville; two daughters, Jill Evans and her husband, Pat, Memphis and Stephanie Holmes and her fiancee, Matt Hayen, Henryville; three brothers, Don Holmes, Shepherdsville, Ky., Johnny Holmes, Floyds Knobs, and Craig Holmes, Clarksville; and four sisters, Bobbie Vanover, Georgetown, Melody Bentley, West Memphis, Ark., Pamela Davis, Sellersburg and Chinke Leuthart, Clarksville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4 and after noon Monday.
Corliss Link
age 63; Central Barren native
Funeral services for Corliss Link, 63, of Clarksville, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Love Funeral Home, Palmyra, with burial in Palmyra Cemetery. She died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Central Barren, born to Edgar and Mary Kennedy Wolfe. She was a member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church, Clarksville.
Survivors include a son, Rick Link, Sellersburg; a daughter, Carla Link Clarksville; a brother, Mike Wolfe, Corydon; two sisters, Joyce Doyle, Jeffersonville and Betty Hubbuch, New Albany and two grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 13, and after noon Sunday.
Fannie E. Marsee
age 80; mother of five
Funeral services for Fannie E. Marsee, 80, of Borden, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. She died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Middlesboro, Ky., a homemaker and a member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Juna Marsee, Orlando, Fla.; four daughters, Martha Stewart and husband, Paul, Sun Valley, Ariz., Janice Jones, Borden, Jimmie Bye and husband, J. D., Jeffersonville and Karen Smith and husband, Keith, Jeffersonville; a brother, Gaston Wilson, Pineville, Ky.; a sister, Doris Aragon, Pikeville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Marsee.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 13, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Harold Douglas Troutman
age 52; courier service driver
Funeral services for Harold Douglas "Corky" Troutman, 52, of Clarksville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Vine Hill Cemetery, Clermont, Ky. He died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He as a native of Louisville, a driver for Bee Line Courier Service and a member of Howard Park Christian Church, Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Ray Popp; a daughter, Jesica Fay Cherry, Clarksville; two brothers, Paul Troutman, Louisville and Penner Troutman, Calif.; and two sisters, Jackie Walker, Louisville and Mazie Burkhead, Bonlfay, Fla.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.
