Holland Isler, 72, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Hillcrest Center.
Cremation was chosen. Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, was in charge of arrangements.
Nelson L. Goss
81; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Nelson L. Goss, 81, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Providence Retirement Home.
He was a retired Union Steward for International Harvester and an Army veteran of World War II. He was born in Palmyra on Nov. 25, 1922, the son of the late Wilbur and Estella Goss.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Wilma M. Goss; a brother, Melvin Goss; and a son-in-law, Darryl Gartrell.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Gartrell and Vickie Jones and her husband, Brad; a son, Glenn Goss; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Buckel and Ruby Austin; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany. A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions in his memory to the American Kidney Foundation.
Everett E. 'Pete' Hines
59; New Albany native
Funeral services for Everett E. "Pete" Hines, 59, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes with burial in Veron Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a native of New Albany and an Iron Worker. He was a member of V.F.W. Bonnie Sloan Post, the Moose Lodge, Viet Nam Club and Forty and Eight Voiture Club #1250.
Survivors include four brothers, Paul Hazen, New Albany, Ralph Hazen, Texas, Ronnie Hines, New Albany and Herschel Hines, Clarksville; and three sisters, Bonnie Graves, Wichita, Kan., Roby Hooten, Bowling Green, Ky. and Mayme Edwards, New Albany.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Emma Lou Miles
75; retired teacher
Funeral services for Emma Lou Miles, 75, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Kraft Chapel with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Warrick County, a retired school teacher from the New Albany Floyd County School System, and a member of Depauw Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Carl O. Miles; a son, Alan Miles and his wife, Brenda, Charlestown; four daughters, Ruth Fort and her husband, Arthur, Baton Rouge, La.; Diane Turner and her husband, Jerry, Georgetown, and Connie Jackson and her husband, Don, Hopedale, Ma.; three sisters, Rosena Lankford, Huntingburg, Henrietta Stephens, Holland and Jo Shipman, Huntsville, Tex.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St. in New Albany, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Rosa Lee Roberts Panzer
67; of Louisville
Funeral services for Rosa Lee Roberts Panzer, 67, of Louisville, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Pyke-Calloway Funeral Service in New Albany with burial in Tunnel Hill Cemetery
in Edwardsville. She died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004.
She was a native of Kentucky and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Wolfgang Panzer; two sons, Kenny Roberts, New Albany and Billy Roberts, Munfordville, Ky.; three daughters, Cathy Bottoms, New Albany, Martha Blair, Martinsville, and Linda Jones, Campbellsburg; a step daughter, Monica Mueller, Lawrenceburg, Ga.; four brothers, Aurthur Smith, Earl Smith, David Smith and Bobby Smith, all of Kentucky; three sisters, Barbara Smith and Joyce Davis, both of Kentucky, and Dorothy King, Toledo, Oh.; 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral ohme, 1217 E. Spring St., will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 22, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
June Nona Barton
86; retired office manager
Funeral services for June Nona Barton, 86, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, with interment at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25 at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Kankakee, Ill. She died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was born June 17, 1918 in Peotone, Ill. to Rutherford Charles and Martha Foreman Barton. She had lived in Jeffersonville since 1983 with her sister, Ruth Mardell Wright.
She was a graduate of Kankakee High School and attended Illinois Norman (currently Illinois State University.) She worked in the construction industry all her life, retiring in 1988 after 33 years at Gust K. Newberg Construction Company as office manager, purchasing agent, bookkeeper and more, on major construction projects including McCormick Place Convention Center and the First National Bank Building in Chicago, Barkley Dam in Kentucky, a water treatment plant in San Francisco and Marble Hill Nuclear Power Plant in Southern Indiana.
She was a member of Cook Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on the board of trustees, the administrative council and participated in many other activities.
She was past worthy matron of the Eastern Star, Kankakee Chapter, past national president and life member of National Association of Women in Construction and past president of the Jeffersonville Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. She enjoyed travel, birds and wildlife, gardening and music.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Wright, Jeffersonville; two nieces, Nona Mardell Wright, Phoenix, Ariz. and Deirdre Wright Breeding, Champaign, Ill.; two nephews, R. Barton Wright, Ann Arbor, Mich. and Gregory Allen Wright, Hastings, Mich.; two grand nieces and four grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rutherford C. Barton and Martha Barton.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22.

Mary Lou Wampler Bottorff
70; of Charlestown
A memorial service for Mary Lou Wampler Bottorff, 70, of Charlestown, will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Locust Grove, 561 Blankenbaker Lane, Louisville. She died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at her home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.
She spent many years in the role of a nurturing daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Bottorff; mother, Nina Dixon Wampler; two children, Dr. Michael Bottorff and wife, Leslee and JoAnn Bottorff Gelke and husband, Karl; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Selent Bottorff; brothers, Charles and Roger Wampler and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Thomas R. Connell Sr.
77; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Thomas R. "Bud" Connell Sr., 77, of Clarksville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was retired supervisor for George Pfau & Sons and was also retired as assistant director of maintenance at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was a member of American Legion Post 35 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2452, both in Jeffersonville and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rochelle M. Connell; a son, Thomas R. Connell Jr., Louisville; two daughters, Terry Proctor, New Albany and Sheila Sykes, Port Huron, Mich.; a sister, Betty Jane Jenkins, Beaver, Penn.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman L. Connell and Jesse Connell.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22.
Clark Bonnie Dunn
83; retired owner/operator Dunn Trucking Co.
Funeral services for Clark Bonnie Dunn, 83, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Coots Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Utica and an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired owner/operator of Dunn Trucking Co.
Survivors include two sons, David T. Dunn, Hayward, Calif. and Allen C. Dunn, New Albany; a sister, Evelyn Scholl, Clarksville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
