Funeral services for Joshua Michael Taylor Wheat, two-month-old son of Joshua Edwin Taylor and Krystle Savonne Wheat, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Kosair-Children's Hospital in Louisville.
Survivors, other than his parents, include his grandparents, Gina and George Surface, Jeffersonville, Deborah Taylor, New Albany, Robert Wheat Sr., New Albany, Marcus Snelling, Jeffersonville and Belle Kimbell, Floyds Knobs; his great-grandparents, Betty Hubbuch and Norma Wheat, both of New Albany, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Surface, Vine Grove, Ky., Janet R. Taylor and Ronnie Dillow, New Albany, Lois Jeffries and Wesley and Jean Curtsinger, both of Jeffersonville; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the family in care of the funeral home.

Funeral services for Sherry Young, 45, of Jeffersonville, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Scott Funeral Home Main Street Chapel, with burial in New Chapel Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at her home.
She was a native of Jeffersonville and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Young, Clarksville; a daughter Lana Carter, Jeffersonville; her mother, Laverne Taylor, Jeffersonville; a son, Neil Young, Clarksville; a brother, Travis Taylor, Pekin; a sister, Melissa Carroll, Jeffersonville; and a grandson, Elijah Young, Clarksville.
John W. Bishop
71; member of Silver Street UMC
Funeral services for John W. Bishop, 71, of New Albany, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Detroit, Mich., a graduate of Michigan State University and a business administrator at Silver Crest Children's Development Center in New Albany. He served on the board of directors and was a member of both Silver Street United Methodist Church and Interfaith Community Council. He was also involved in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Bishop; his children, Ronald Kemp and his wife, Laurie, Robert Kemp, Larry Kemp and Terri Roberts; a sister, Sue Houston and her husband, Ralph; 13 grandchildren; and two nephews.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 30, and after 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Silver Street United Methodist Church or Interfaith Community Council.
Susan L. James
43; member of Graceland Baptist Church
Funeral services for Susan L. James, 43, of New Albany, will be at noon Monday, Jan. 3, at Graceland Baptist Church, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at her home.
She was the former Susan L. Mason, a native of New Albany and the assistant manager for the Mt. Tabor School Cafeteria. She was also employed by Betty Ann Jones Catering. She was a member of Graceland Baptist Church where she served as Cubmaster of Pack 12 for eight years.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis L. James; two sons, Christopher L. James and his wife, Elizabeth, Palmyra and Phillip L. James, New Albany; a daughter, Angela M. James, New Albany; her parents, Robert E. and M. Sue Mason, New Albany; two brothers, Steve Mason and his wife, Linda, Lawrenceville, Ga. and Stan Mason and his wife, Claudetta, New Albany; and one granddaughter, Emily Brooke James.
Visitation at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, and after 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the church.
Lawrence E. Moore
97; former teacher and coach
Funeral services for Lawrence E. Moore, 97, of Georgetown, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, with military rites burial in the Wolfe Cemetery
in Georgetown. He died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1907 in Columbia, Ky. the son of Drury Monroe and Minnie L. Allison Moore. He was a school teacher, coach and principal for over a period of 47 years first at the Georgetown Elementary and High School and then at Floyd Central High School in Floyds Knobs when it opened in 1967. He retired in 1973. He was a member of the Georgetown Optimist Club and the Georgetown Christian Church. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his six nieces and nephews, Edward Moore and wife, Judy, Larry Moore, Donna Holman and husband, Dave, Peggy Banet and husband, Mike, Drury Moore and wife, Martha and Florence Search; and many friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Drury E., Cosby, Allen and Joseph Moore; and two sisters, Mary Moore Gunnison Naybors and Clementine Moore Stroud.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 and after 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3.

89; homemaker
Funeral services for Mattie B. Shively, 89, of New Albany, will be at noon Friday, Dec. 31, at Scott Funeral Home North Chapel, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Clark County, a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her son, Raymond L. Shively and his wife, Ellen, Cincinnati, Ohio; a granddaughter, Rebecca Caron and her husband, Jeffrey, Monroe, Ohio; a grandson, R. Scott Shively and his wife, Beth, Pickerington, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Shively; and her brother, Robert Wardrip.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 31.

Graveside services for James Christopher McCrady, 38, of Nabb, will be at 2 p.m. CST, Thursday, Dec. 30, at Hogan Cemetery
in Brownsville, Ky. He died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in Jeffersontown, Ky.
He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include his parents, James W. McCrady and Barbara J. McCrady, Nabb; his wife, Dawn E. McCrady, Jeffersontown, Ky.; and two sisters, Yavonda L. McCrady, Louisville and Dana J. Fryrear, Sellersburg.

James H. Hiser
76; of Clarksville
Funeral services for James H. Hiser, 76, of Clarksville, will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 30, at Chapman Funeral Home. Cremation has been chosen. He died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Healthcare Pavillion.
He was a native of Metcalfe, Ky. and an independent truck driver.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Hiser.
Survivors include four daughters, Cathy Mann, Salem, Linda Dotson, Greenville, and Teresa Adams and Beth Stepp, both of Clarksville; a brother, Glen Hiser, Louisville; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.

Edith Howard Zollman
83; formerly of Otisco
Funeral services for Edith Howard Zollman, 83, formerly of Otisco, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Church of God in Charlestown, with burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. She died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard, Ky.
She was born Nov. 9, 1921 in Mozelle, Ky., the daughter of the late John Howard and Siller Howard Muncy. She spent her formative years in Leslie County, Ky. and was a former resident of Otisco. She operated a grocery store with her late husband, Mr. Stanley O. Zollman, for 26 years in Otisco. She had been a resident of Mozelle, Ky. since 1979. She was a memver f the Mozelle Church of God and enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and flower and vegetable gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Howard and Siller Howard Muncy; her step father, Arnold Muncy; her husband, Stanley O. Zollman; a brother, Charlie Howard and two sister, Ellen and Dorothy Howard.
Survivors include a son, Gary Ray Zollman, Jeffersonville; a daughter, Brenda Rhymer and her husband, George, Mozelle, Ky.; three step-sons, Loren, Stanley and Carl Zollman, all of Indiana; a step-daughter, Ernestine Brooks, of Indiana; three brothers, Otis Howard and his wife, Stella, London, Ky., Ralph E. Howard and his wife, Geraldine, Asher, Ky., and Earl Howard and his wife, Ruby, Mozelle; a sister, Jessie Howard Whitehead, Mozelle; four grandchildren, Teresa Henson, Timothy North, Jeannie North Burns and Felicia North; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
