Richard Hall Grimm
81; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Richard Hall Grimm, 81, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Scott Funeral Home's North Chapel, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Clark Memorial hospital.
He was a native of Jeffersonville and a retired drafting technician for the Corps of Engineers. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Larry Grimm and his wife, Terri, West Frankfort, Ill.; two grandchildren, Trent and Cassie Grimm, West Frankfort, Ill.; friend and companion, Martha Bowe, Sellersburg; sister, Jane Musselman and her husband, Richard, Clarksville; a brother, Francis Grimm and wife, Ruth, Jeffersonville; five nephews; a niece and three great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank E. and Lillie B. Grimm.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22.
James A. Hecker
71;
Korean War veteran
Funeral services for James A. Hecker, 71, of Sellersburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East.
He was retired from the Kentucky Truck Plant, Ford Motor Company with more than 39 years service and was a
Korean War veteran. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 862 and helped establish Silver Creek Little League. He was a member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Hecker; two sons, Alfred Hecker and wife, Pat, Georgetown and Scott Hecker and wife, Tina, Boise, Idaho and two granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda Hecker.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22, and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Baptist Hospital East, Oncology Fund or Hospice of Southern Indiana.
Joseph Charles Kirchen
74; Army veteran
Funeral services for Joseph Charles Kirchen, 74, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Ln., New Albany, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
He was a native of San Francisco, an Army veteran of the
Korean War and a retired professional entertainer. He was also a sales representative for Sams Club, Louisville and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Kirchen; three sons, Joey and Mark Kirchen, Petaluma, Calif. and Michael Kirchen, Brentwood, Calif.; a daughter, Michele McMurdy, Scottsdale, Ariz.; stepson, Ron Graver, Clarksville; stepdaughter, Kristin Harbold, Underwood; a brother, Ed Kirchen, Fremont, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Bachnick, Placeville, Calif. and Antoinette Louden, Licking, Missouri and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation at Coots Funeral Home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Mary O. Adams
86; of New Albany
Funeral services for Mary O. Adams, 86, of New Albany, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Marion County, Ky., a retired employee of Brown Foreman, Louisville and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Winburn and husband, Tom, New Albany, Vickie Devine, New Albany and Janice Wells and husband, Larry, Clarksville; a brother, Clarence Williams Jr., Raywick, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lyonell R. Leake and daughter, Laquita Ledford.
Visitation at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22.
Sherley A. Kendall
75; of New Albany
Funeral services for Sherley A. Kendall, 75, of New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004.
She was the former Sherley A. Brown, a native of New Albany and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She retired from Hanger's Pharmacy with more than 30 years of loyal service.
Survivors include a son, Thomas L. Kendall, Underwood; three daughters, Lynne E. and Jane L. Kendall, Jeffersonville and Lois Dean Kendall, Chester, Conn.; four grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard "Pete" Kendall Jr. and a brother, Frank O. Brown Jr.
Visitation at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22 and at the church after 9 a.m. Thursday.
Margaret L. Parker
81; of Louisville
Funeral services for Margaret L. Parker, 81, of Louisville, will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 23, at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington. She died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Norton Southwest Hospital.
She was the former Margaret Keller, a native of Mercer County, Ky. and retired from the former General Hospital as well as the University of Louisville Department of Family Practice. She was a member of American Legion Post 81 in Leitchfield, Ky., Veterans of Foreign Wars Longfield Post 6182 and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Donald L. Parker and wife, Karen; two daughters, Ann Keene and husband, Rick and Jo Underwood and husband, Tim; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert L. Parker.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 22.
William Barnes
59; of Clarksville
William Barnes, 59, of Clarksville, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Cremation was chosen. Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, is in charge of arrangements. No visitation of funeral service will be held.
Correze 'C.F.' Cunningham, Jr.
75; veteran of Korean conflict
Funeral services for Correze "C.F." Cunningham, Jr., 75, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Cannelton and a retired machinist for Colgate Palmolive. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #35, V.F.W. Post #1832, the Clark County Casting and Conservation Club and the Southern Indiana Rifle and Pistol Association. He was also a Navy veteran of the Koream conflict.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura F. Tullo, Charlotte, N.C.; three sons, C.F. "Buck" Cunningham, III, Borden, David Cunningham, Jeffersonville and Russell Cunningham, Madison; a friend, Mackie Cunningham; a brother, Lloyd J. Cunningham, Martinsville; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation at Scott Funeral Home North Chapel will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, and after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Charles Allen Eves, Sr.
65; Navy veteran
Funeral services for Charles Allen Eves, Sr., 65, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Christ Gospel Church, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Tyler, Tex., a retiree from Colgate Palmolive where he worked in the receiving department, a member of Christ Gospel Church and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda S. Eves; three sons, Charles A. Eves, Jr., Jeffersonville, Rufus E. Eves, Charlestown and John D. Eves, Jeffersonville; two daughters, Anita K. Doty and Birgitta R. Lindsey, both of Jeffersonville; a sister, Nelda K. Tapp, Texas; and ten grandchildren.

84; former employee of M. Fine & Sons Co.
Funeral services for Ethel L. Cooper, 84, of Georgetown, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. She died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was the former Ethel Frank, a native of New Albany. She was a former employee of M. Fine & Sons Company, New Albany.
Survivors include a son, Michael L. Cooper, Louisville; two daughters, Joyce L. Conrad, Beechgrove and Claudia G. Wiseman, Georgetown; a sister, Wanda J. Penrod, Sun City, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude M. Cooper; sons, Ronald J. and David J. Cooper; a sister, Jane B. Bailey and a brother, Marion K. Frank.
