Jason Andrew Pierson, 22
HARTFORD CITY - Jason Andrew Pierson, 22, died Saturday, August 7, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
Jason was born January 12, 1982 in Delaware County to Thomas D. and Donna McKee Pierson.
Jason was a life resident of this area, he attended Blackford High School and was employed by L.J. Stone Company of Muncie.
An avid outdoorsman, Jason loved hunting, fishing, and camping.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Thomas and Barbara Pierson, Hartford City; his mother and step-father, Donna and David Pierce, El Paso, Texas; grandparents, Duaine and Peggy McKee, Texas; four sisters, Brandy Pierson and Joe McCoin, El Paso, Texas; Teresa and Brent Erb, El Paso, Texas; Michelle Pierson, El Paso, Texas; and Emma Kylene Pierson, Hartford City; one brother, Wesley Pierson, Hartford City; one step-sister, Amanda Pierce; one step-brother, Derek Pierce; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norma McKee in 1970; his grandfather, David M. Pierson on October 2, 1994; and his brother Joshua L. Pierson on September 7, 1983.
Jason will always be loved and missed.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 13 at 1 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 501 West Washington Street, Hartford City with Pastor Tom Parsons of the Hartford City Wesleyan Church presiding.
Burial will in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
Visitation will be after 12 noon on Friday, August 13 at the Waters Funeral Home.
Mary Alice Knox, 79
MONTPELIER - Mary Alice Knox, age 79, died Monday, August 9, at the University Nursing Center, Upland. She was born in Blackford County on March 14, 1925 to Ross and Blanche (Shroyer) Woods. Both parents preceded her in death. Mary married Kenneth L. Knox on October 5, 1946 in Fowlerton.
Mary was a homemaker and had formerly worked at the Jackson School in Blackford County as a cook. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and had attended the Millgrove United Methodist Church. She moved from east of Millgrove in 1977 to her residence in Montpelier. She then became a resident at the University Nursing Center in Upland.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth L. Knox, Montpelier; one son, Peter Michael & Marilyn Knox, Hartford City; one granddaughter, Mindy & Andrew Pennington, Hartford City; two grandsons, Mark & Susan Knox, North Webster; Michael Lee & Tammy Knox, Va.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Blanche.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August11 at 10:30 a.m. in the Glancy Funeral Homes - Walker Chapel, 109 West Windsor Street, Montpelier, with Rev. John Long officiating.
Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Glancy Funeral Homes - Walker Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Millgrove United Methodist Church, Millgrove, Indiana.

ZANESVILLE - Marion F. Flemming, Jr., 61, died Saturday, August 7, at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton.
Services will be Wednesday, August 11 at 10 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, with Pastor Andy Martin officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, Huntington.

Services will be Wednesday, August 11, at 1:00 p.m. in the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren with Rev. John Wallace officiating.
Burial will take place at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Warren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Memorial Home.

HARTFORD CITY - Beulah M. Crouse, 76, died Saturday, August 7, at Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion.
Services will be Tuesday, August 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City.
Burial will take place at the Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation will be Monday, August 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, August 10 after noon at the Waters Funeral Home.
Mary Emma Reichenbaugh, 86
HARTFORD CITY - Mary Emma Reichenbaugh, age 86, died Friday, August 6th, 2004 at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home in Hartford City. She was born in Hartford City on August 11, 1918 to William A. "Dick" & Verdie (Laycock) Ruble. Both parents preceded Mary in death. Mary Married Gerald E. "Gene" Reichenbaugh on February 13, 1947 in Hartford City. He passed away on December 27, 1968.
Mary was a Homemaker and had formerly worked at The Wagon Wheel Motel and the Northside Bowling Lanes both in Hartford City. Mary also graduated from the Hartford City High School. She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Hartford City.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcia Kay "Kay" (Husband - Loren Michael) Rinker of Hartford City; One son Jerry D. (Wife - Susan M.) Reichenbaugh of Westerville, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Cathy Hines and Laura M. Williams; 6 Great Grand Children, Dustina Hines, Catlyn Williams, Cody Williams, Caysie Williams, Britiany Steury, and Breanne Steury; One Great Great Grand Daughter Heaven Shae Maddox; One sister, Esther (Husband -Don) McIntire and several Nieces and Nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents William A. "Dick" & Verdie Ruble, 2 Brothers, Ralph Ruble Sr. and Chester Ruble; 2 Sisters, Garnet May Shaw and Helen Reynolds.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 9 at the Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High Street, Hartford City, with Rev. William Pieper of The First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Monday, August 9 from 12 Noon till the time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Keplinger Funeral Home.

WARREN - Larry J. Michael, 68, died at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 31 in the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3 in the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren with Rev. John Bellante officiating.
Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Warren.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren.

Sue Ann Treft
Sue Ann Treft, 57, 11732N-200E, Roanoke, died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 29, 1998) at her residence.
Mrs. Treft was a homemaker. She was formerly the owner of Treft Collies, Roanoke.
She was born Oct. 6, 1940 in Huntington to Harold and Julia Marks Reeves. They survive. She married Harold T. Treft in Bippus on Aug. 7, 1960. He also survives.
Additional survivors are a daughter, Yvonne E. Treft, Roanoke; a son, Darryl G. Treft, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; and a brother, John H. Reeves, Roanoke.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Dr., Roanoke, with services at 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. Dan Groff will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Bertha I. Glancy Ickes
Bertha I. Glancy Ickes, 84, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 28, 1998) at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a former resident of Hartford City and Montpelier.
Mrs. Ickes was a homemaker. She graduated from Roll High School, Roll, Ind., in 1933. She formerly attended Fairview United Brethren Church, Hartford City, and Montpelier Church of Christ, Montpelier.
She was born July 19, 1913 in Blackford County to John W. and Marinda Tolliver Glancy. She married John R. Ickes in Muncie on Sept. 9, 1933. He died Dec. 2, 1984.
Surviving are three sisters, Mae Stroup Jackson and Myrtle Talbott, both of Warren, and Ethel Smith, Palm Springs, Calif.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred Glancy, Luther Glancy, Henry Glancy and Joe Glancy; and three sisters, Grace Schmidt, Fern Wiley and Hattie Glancy.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren with funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will be at Hartford City Cemetery, Hartford City.
