Lueda M. Garrison
Lueda M. Garrison, 91, 990 Market St., Andrews, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker.
She was born April 12, 1908, in Huntington County to Edward and Almeda Forest Rittenhouse. She married Harry T. Garrison on April 29, 1926, in Elkhart. He died Dec. 3, 1975.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. David (Joann) Bartrom and Pauline Gallegos, both of Andrews, and Mrs. William (Carolyn) Collins, Vacaville, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Garrison and Robert T. Garrison; two daughters, Anna M. Stetzel and Linda Thompson; two brothers and a sister.
Calling is from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Thursday at Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, 233 N. Main St., Andrews, with Pastor Stan Owen officiating.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

James P. Wyatt
James Paul Wyatt, 38, 614 Salamonie Ave., died at 2 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999).
Mr. Wyatt was a member of the Gospel Community Church.
He was born Jan. 10, 1961, in Huntington to Joseph E. and Rose Marie Parker Wyatt. His father and mother survive in Huntington.
Also surviving are three brothers, Danny J. Wyatt and Earl G. Wyatt, both of Huntington, and Stanton J. Wyatt, Warren; a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Linda R.) Harrell, Warren; and a grandmother, Delores Wyatt, Warsaw.
Cremation was held.
Calling will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gospel Community Church, 404 Grayston Ave.
Preferred memorials are to the Gospel Community Church or Parkview Rehabilitation, Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Clella E. Bouman
Clella E. Bouman, 98, formerly of Charles Street, died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) at Miller’s Merry Manor ,where she was a resident.
Mrs. Bouman was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter’s First United Church of Christ and a 59-year member of the Extension Homemakers Club, having served as a past Huntington County president.
She was born May 25, 1901, in Huntington County to Ulysses Grant Harris and Elizabeth Belle Heaston Harris. She married Paul D. Bouman Feb. 3, 1921, in Huntington. Her husband died Nov. 3, 1980.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Bouman, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; two daughters, Maribelle Bechstein and Mrs. Herbert (Virginia) Oden, both of Huntington; a sister, Ruth Hine, Laud; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, four sisters and a grandson.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 338 E. Washington St., where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Jonathan Heaslet will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.

Garl W. Brooks
Garl William Brooks, 75, 11099N-200W, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at his home.
Mr. Brooks, a lifelong Huntington County resident, farmed in Clear Creek Township until retiring in 1989. He attended Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, Huntington, and had been a member and Sunday school superintendent at the former Shock Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Brooks and his wife had been active with the Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival since its inception 24 years ago and, for the last several years, had served as co-chairmen of the festival’s Pioneer Village. He was a member of the Indiana Hoosier Bells, Indianapolis, and Ageless Iron of Roanoke.
He was a 1942 graduate of Clear Creek High School.
He was born July 21, 1924, in Huntington County to Theodore and Catherine Rupley Brooks. He married Mary Ethel Taylor Aug. 22, 1954, in Markle; his wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Gary Carter, Walkerton; three brothers, Denver Brooks, Robert Brooks and Donald Brooks, all of Huntington; two sisters, Mrs. John (Norma) Pohler, Huntington, and Geneva Stetzel, North Manchester; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carter Allan Brooks, and a brother, Cecil Brooks.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, 2978W-1100N. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Rev. Robert Jarboe officiating. Burial will be at Shock Cemetery.

Darrell G. Drayer
Darrell Gene Drayer, 54, Wabash, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Drayer was a 1963 graduate of Ossian High School and had attended Huntington College. He was a member of the Wabash Friends Church and the Friends Men’s Quartet.
He had been employed by White’s Residential and Family Services in Wabash County for 25 years, first as a house parent and later as grounds supervisor. In September, he and his wife were honored by the Indiana Residential Child Care Association for their 25 years of service in child care.
He was born Dec. 23, 1944, in Adams County to Charles and Eva Groh Drayer. He married Kathleen Grile Aug. 15, 1970, at the Bethel Brethren Church in Jay County; his wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Troy Drayer, Warren; two brothers, Herman Drayer, Bluffton, and David Drayer, Hoagland; a sister, Mary Ellen Cable, Port Orange, Fla.; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1177 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Friends Church, 3563 Ind.-13, Wabash. Pastor Duane L. Houser will officiate. Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery, Wabash.

Dorwin E. Frazier
Dorwin E. Frazier, 82, Lake Township, Allen County, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Frazier was involved in farming all his life and owned and operated farming operations in Lake and Eel River townships in Allen County and Smith Township in Whitley County. He was a member of the Eel River Baptist Church, south of Churubusco, and was chairman of the church deacons. He was also a member of Maumee F&AM Lodge in Fort Wayne and Allen County Gideons. He attended the former Eel River Township School and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1935.
He was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Eel River Township, Allen County, to Rosell and Ruth Wood Frazier. He married Donna Belle Leitch Sept. 7, 1940. His wife survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry Frazier, Fort Wayne, and Ronnie Frazier, South Whitley; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Jeanne) Ungualb, Flower Mound, Texas; three brothers, George Frazier and Bob Frazier, both of Fort Wayne, and Frank Frazier, LaPorte; two sisters, Mrs. Milford (Helen) Snyder, Fort Wayne, and Irene Johnson, Hayward, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty McComb; a brother, Earl Frazier; a half-brother, Paul Frazier; a grandson and a great-grandson.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheets Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Churubusco.
Calling will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday at the Eel River Baptist Church, south of Churubusco. Pastor Jerry Lowrey will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
Preferred memorials are to the River City Ministry or to the donor’s choice.
Edward F. Huebert
Edward F. Huebert, 76, Fort Wayne, died at 4 a.m. Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) at his home.
Mr. Huebert was formerly of Roanoke. He was a comptroller for United Technologies, Wabash, for nine years, retiring in 1988. He was World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator. He was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, and the Roanoke
American Legion Post 160. He also served as president of the Kern Valley Neighborhood Association.
He was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Ralph C. and Leona Schott Huebert. His marriage was June 21, 1947, in Pittsburgh to Dolores R. Barabas. She died April 21, 1987.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James (Janice) Ciaschi, Germantown, Md., Mrs. Jerry (Christine) McIntosh, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Jon (Marie) Thornton, Angola; a brother, Ralph C. Huebert Jr., Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Elizabeth) Belasco, Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday. There will also be calling one hour prior to services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, with Rev. John N. Suelzer officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke.
Preferred memorials are contributions to the church for Masses or to Parkview Home Health Care and Hospice, Fort Wayne.
