Willie Mae Kimmer
Willie Mae Kimmer, 69, Bluffton, died at 7:59 p.m. Sunday (June 25, 2000) at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Kimmer, an employee of the Dutch Mill Restaurant, Bluffton, and a member of the Buckeye Church of Christ.
She was born July 5, 1930, in Millsboro, Ky., to Mr. and Mrs. Luther Rains. She married Arlin Kimmer June 20, 1958. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are a son, John Kimmer, Bluffton; one grandchild; and two brothers, Troy Rains and Si Rains, both of Fort Wayne. A daughter preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton, with Rev. James Crothers officiating. Burial will be at the Old Emmanuel/Spider Hill Cemetery, Wells County.
Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.
Betty J. Morrison
Betty J. Morrison, 76, Montpelier, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday (June 22, 2000) at Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville.
Mrs. Morrison was a life-long Montpelier resident who retired from 3-M Co., Hartford City, in 1986.
She was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Blackford County to Donald Edward and Ruby Gladys Newhouse Sills. Her marriage was April 19, 1947, in Marion to Ned Dwight Morrison. He died Dec. 24, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Philip Morrison, Hartford City, and Mark Morrison, Montpelier; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Natalie) Gearhart, Jamestown; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Harris, and a brother, John Sills.
Calling is from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Rev. Frank Rodgers officiating.
Burial will be at Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier.

Esther I. Ridenour
Esther Irene Ridenour, Urbana, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday (June 25, 2000) at Wabash County Hospital.
Mrs. Ridenour was a member of the Lagro United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
She was born May 11, 1914, in Wabash County, to Earl Hoover and Mary Ellen Basicker Hoover. She married Robert L. Ridenour Nov. 26, 1935, in Wabash. Her husband died April 12, 1980.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Sheila) Smith, Urbana, and Joyce Hall, Urbana; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmo Earl Hoover, Hemet, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Virgil (Ilo) Langston, Roanoke, and Della Mae Hefner, Huntington.
One sister and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Friends Cemetery
on Mill Creek Pike in Wabash, with Pastor Glen Howenstine officiating. Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, 86 E. Main St., Wabash.
Preferred memorials are to the Lagro United Methodist Church.
Richard H. Siela
Richard H. “Rick” Siela, 43, Ossian, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday (June 24, 2000) at his home.
Mr. Siela was the owner of the Poor Boys painting business of Ossian. He was a member of the Ossian Masonic Lodge 297 and the Fort Wayne Valley of Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Ossian United Methodist Church.
He was born Aug. 2, 1956, in Tacoma, Wash., to John R. Siela and Jean I. Cheesman Siera. He married Susan E. Roller July 31, 1976, at the Ossian United Methodist Church. His wife survives.
Also surviving are his parents, in Markle; a daughter, Michelle E. Siela, Ossian; a son, Erick R. Siela, Ossian; and two brothers, Ronald J. Siela and Rudi V. Siela, both of Fort Wayne.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ossian United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Heinbaugh officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Elzey and Haggard Funeral Home’s Ossian Chapel. There will be additional calling one hour prior to the services. A service by the Ossian Masonic Lodge will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice of Northeastern Indiana and the Ossian United Methodist Church.
Sandra Lee Spears
Sandra Lee Spears, 31, Fort Wayne, died at 5:37 a.m. Thursday (June 22, 2000) at her home.
Miss Spears worked at ARC in Fort Wayne. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne.
She was born April 8, 1969, in Wabash, to Glen Spears and Patricia Hall Skeens.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Glen and Deloris Spears, Wabash; her mother, Patricia Skeens, Wabash; seven sisters, Janet Kline and Anita Richardson, Huntington, Teresa Spears, Angie Spears, and Linda Combs, Wabash, Tina Rader, Peru, and Bonnie Pallind, Prinville, Ore.; and two brothers, Benny Wine, Plainfield, and Bobby Wine, Pendleton.
One sister preceded her in death.
Calling is from 10 a.m.-noon Monday at Wabash Chapel Church of God, 774 Pike St., Wabash, where services will be held at noon Monday with Revs. Kevin Dunlop and Ralph Johnson officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
Preferred memorials are to the National Epilepsy Foundation.
Joanne Webster
Joanne Webster, 76, 10 Stoneridge Dr., died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday (June 22, 2000) at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Webster was a 1942 Huntington High School graduate who attended Indiana University for two years. There she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She was a member of the First Mothers Club and Psi Iota Xi sorority, and of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was born June 15, 1924, in Huntington, to Herman A. and Zella Gale Yaste. Her marriage was Dec. 16, 1945, in Huntington, to Robert Webster. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Webster, Fort Wayne, and Jeffrey Webster, Houston; and four grandchildren.
A sister, Helen Jefferis, preceded her in death.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, with Rev. Steven Ailes officiating.
Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Nancy J. Carbaugh
Nancy Joan Carbaugh, 67, Fort Wayne, died Tuesday (June 20, 2000) at her home.
Mrs. Carbaugh was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church and past secretary for the Fort Wayne Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She was born March 9, 1933, in South Bend to Jack D. A. and Mary Alice Smith McNabb. She married James R. Carbaugh in Fort Wayne. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard R. Carbaugh, Yoder, and James N. Carbaugh, Markle; two daughters, Charlene Townsend, Fort Wayne, and Kay Hoffman, Yoder; a brother, Robert McNabb, Huntington; three sisters, Mary Lou Keele, South Whitley, Karen Giant, Fort Wayne, and Sandra Black, Huntington; and eight grandchildren.
A brother, Richard McNabb, preceded her in death.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Elzey & Haggard Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at the Nine Mile Cemetery, Allen County.

Richard E. Hoover
Richard E. Hoover, 71, Marion, died at 1 a.m. Saturday (June 17, 2000) at Marion General Hospital, Marion.
Mr. Hoover was employed as a machinist with General Motors in Marion for over 30 years, retiring in 1990. He also farmed until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Banquo Christian Church and the Northport Christian Church in Northport, Fla. He was a member of Mt. Etna Masonic Lodge 333 F&AM and was a past patron of Order of Eastern Star Floral Chapter 75, Huntington.
He was born April 5, 1929, in Huntington County to Merritt Hoover and Freda Pinkerton Hoover. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1946 and attended Purdue University. He married Alice Schoeff July 18, 1948, in Huntington. His wife survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Terry L. Hoover, Perrysburg, Ohio, and Michael A. Hoover, Stilesville; a daughter, Mrs. John (Lynn) Headrick, Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Rex Hoover, Las Cruces, N.M.; two sisters, Mrs. John (Donna) Norwood, Huntington, and Mrs. Gene (Beverly) Minton, North Webster; and eight grandchildren.
A brother, Vaughn Hoover, preceded him in death.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, with Masonic services at 8 p.m., at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr. Calling will also be held from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Gary Riley and Rev. Dorman Winger will officiate. Burial will be at the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
