Bessie Holder Hoffman, 86, of Laurel, Miss. and formerly of Huntington, died Friday (May 3, 2002) at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, Miss.

Calling is 4-7 p.m. (Huntington time) at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 3100 Audubon Dr., Laurel, Miss. Recitation of the rosary will follow.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. (Huntington time) Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Ron Herzog and Father Ken-Ramon Landry officiating. Knights of Columbus members will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will be at Bay Springs Cemetery.

Charles D. Kannapel

Charles D. Kannapel, 93, formerly of Huntington, died at 2:10 a.m. Sunday (May 5, 2002) at VA Northern Indiana Health Care Network, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon at the funeral home with Father Gary Sigler officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Masses to St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750, or Veterans Relief Fund, VFW Post 2689, 220 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750, or the American Heart Association.

John M. Aleman

John M. Aleman, 89, a resident of Norwood Nursing Center, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday (May 1, 2002) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Calling is 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with Pastor Charles Dye Jr. officiating.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Holly Springs Church Cemetery in Kenly, N.C.

Toni J. Kruse

Toni J. Kruse, 55, Fort Wayne, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday (May 1, 2002) at the Byron Health Care Center, Fort Wayne.

Private family calling and services will be held.

C.M. Sloan and Sons, 1327 Wells St., Fort Wayne, is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials are to the Cancer Society.

Mary T. Ross

Mary Theresa Ross, 81, Fruitland, Fla., died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday (April 30, 2002) at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Fla.

Calling will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A family prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City, with Father Dale Bauman officiating.

Burial will be at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery, Columbia City.

Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.

James Crisamore

James Crisamore, 54, Hartford City, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday (May 1, 2002) at the Blackford County Hospital emergency room, Hartford City.

Arrangements are pending at Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren.

Robert K. Meese

Robert “Bob” K. Meese, 70, Huntington, died at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday (May , 2002) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Calling is from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Dr. Paul R. Fetters officiating.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to the American Diabetes. Association or the donor’s choice in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Helen ‘Rosalie’ Priddy

Helen “Rosalie” Priddy, 74, Bluffton, died at 8:47 p.m. Wednesday (May 1, 2002) at her home after an extended illness.

Calling is from 2-8 pm. Friday and one hour before the 10:30 a.m. Saturday funeral services at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chancy Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, with Pastor Ray Harrison officiating.

Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery, Pennville.

Preferred memorials are to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, 265 W. Water St., Berne, IN 46711.

Alice Gentis

Alice Gentis, 95, Ocheyedan, Iowa, died at 8:27 p.m. Thursday (April 25, 2002) at the Lakewood Quarters Nursing Center, Baton Rouge, La.

Calling is 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday at Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Roy Crawford officiating. Burial will be at Jones Cemetery, Warren.

Donald P. Snider

Donald P. Snider, 69, 460 Forks of Wabash Way, died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday (April 30, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Jones officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.

David D. West Jr.

David Duane West Jr., 15, Southport, Fla., died Friday (April 26, 2002) as the result of an auto accident.

Calling is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at noon Friday at Lindenwood Cemetery Chapel, Fort Wayne.

Burial will be at the Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton.
