Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Bill Barlow will officiate.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory, Marion.

Preferred memorials are to the Warren Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 328, Warren, IN 46792; or the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, in care of Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, IN 46792.

Nettie M. Bracey

Nettie Marie Bracey, 86, died Monday (April 8, 2002) at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, with calling one hour prior to services, at Cedar Creek Church of Christ, 12606 Ind.-1, Leo-Cedarville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater, Mich.

Preferred memorials are to Woodburn Christian Children’s Home or Golden Years Homestead, in care of D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne, IN.

Ruby F. Gentis, 88, Huntington, died Monday (April 8, 2002).

Arrangements are pending at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Ruth P. Akers

Ruth P. Akers, 83, Urbana, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (April 6, 2002) at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel. Services will follow at 3 p.m. with Dr. Janice Fulbright officiating. Burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery, Lagro.

James H. Borne

James H. Borne, 60, rural Ossian, died at his home at 6:38 p.m. Saturday (April 6, 2002).

Calling is 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, 3224 E. Ind.-124, Bluffton. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at the Magley Cemetery, Magley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northeast Indiana or the American Cancer Society.

Ida Mae Gorosz, 86, a former resident of Swan Street, died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday (April 7, 2002) at Oakbrook Village.

Arrangements are pending at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.

Raymond C. Meyer

Raymond C. Meyer, 83, rural Wabash, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday (April 7, 2002) at the Peabody Health Care Center, North Manchester.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wabash Field of Dreams, in care of Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service.

Steven C. Paul

Steven C. Paul, 58, Huntington, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday (April 7, 2002) at the Norwood Nursing Center.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a Moose Lodge service at 6 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Warax officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington IN 46750.

Michael E. ‘Mike’ Reber

Michael E. “Mike” Reber, 33, Bluffton, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 6, 2002) at his home.

Calling is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Tom Bradley officiating.

Cremation will follow the service. Burial at Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, will be at a later date.

Margot Petrie

Margot Maxwell Brown Petrie, 80, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio.

The Siferd Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.

Walter Schrodi

Walter Schrodi, 70, a resident of Hoover Street in Markle, died at 6 a.m. Friday (April 5, 2002) at his home.

Arrangements are pending at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Clarence Coleman

Clarence “Jr” Coleman, 75, Marion, died at 12:42 a.m. Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery.

M. Joan Herring

M. Joan “Joanie” Herring, 64, Marion, died Thursday (March 28, 2002) at the Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Jett officiating.

Burial will be at the Grant Memorial Park, Marion.

Ruth Scarf

Ruth Doudna Scarf, 97, 208 W. State St., died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at 9:50 a.m. at Norwood Nursing Center, Huntington.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in the McGhee Family Cemetery on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tenn., at a later date.

Memorials made be made to the Salvation Army in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Joseph M. Sheehan

Joseph M. Sheehan, 57, Rushville, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at his home.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Todd Funeral Home, 805 N. Main St., Rushville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Rushville.

Harris W. Bontrager, 90, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at 4:53 a.m. Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton.

Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. John Bellante and Rev. Steve Gray officiating. The Millard-Brown American Legion Post 156 will conduct military rites. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery, Montpelier.

Loretta J. Creamer, 64, Montpelier, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert C. Neel officiating.
