Earl R. Lhamon Jr., 65, 1896W-800S, Warren, died at his home at 5 p.m. Thursday (July 25, 2002).

Calling was noon-4 p.m. Sunday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Jon Willis officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, with military rites by Van Buren American Legion Post 368.

Lorraine M. Fogwell

Lorraine M. Fogwell, 74, Vandalia, Ohio died Monday (July 22, 2002) in Vandalia.

Services were held Thursday at the Vandalia Grace Brethren Church. Burial was at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Vandalia, Ohio.

Preferred memorials are to the AWANA youth program in care of the Vandalia Grace Brethren Church, 810 Larry Ave., Vandalia, Ohio.

Myron D. Dolby

Myron D. Dolby, 67, Fortville, died Friday (July 26, 2002) at his home.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hughes Funeral Home, Fisher-McCarty Chapel, Fortville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fortville Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.

John W. Wall

John W. Wall, 62, Portland, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) at Desert Springs Hospital, Las Vegas, Nev., after a brief illness.

Calling is from 3-8 p.m. at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, 221 N. Meridian St., Portland, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Vern Huffman will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Reitenour Cemetery, Ridgeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

Lydia R. Hunneshagen

Lydia R. Hunneshagen, 12, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) of injuries suffered in an auto accident.

Calling is from 5-7 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where a funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Father Joseph A. Ehwald will officiate.

Additional calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Roanoke Memorial Funeral Chapel and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke. Services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Friday, with Father Kenneth Sarrazine officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lydia Hunneshagen Memorial Fund at Union Bank, 36 W. Broad St., Pataskala, OH 43062.

Jay H. Smith

Jay H. Smith, 85, of Sparks Street, Markle, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 30, 2002) at his home.

Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.

Burial will be at the Markle Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.

James R. Schnitz II

James R. Schnitz II, 55, Indianapolis, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday (July 29, 2002) at the Lawrence Manor Health Care, Indianapolis.

Calling will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral services Thursday at the V.A. Chapel, 1700E. 38th St., Marion.

Burial will be the Marion National Cemetery, with graveside military honors.

Arrangements are handled by the Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, 2722 S. Washington St., Marion, IN 46953.

E. Lewis Kester

E. Lewis Kester, 83, died Tuesday (July 30, 2002) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Preferred memorials are to the Aboite United Methodist Church youth programs.

Lorene K. Driscoll

Lorene K. Driscoll, 81, a lifetime resident of Wabash, died at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday (July 30, 2002) at her home.

Calling will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, at Cass and Sinclair streets in Wabash. Father Sextus Don will officiate.

Burial will be at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.

Mary E. Baumgartner

Mary E. Baumgartner, 58, Fort Wayne, died at 5:25 p.m. July 25, 2002, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at Anchor Community Church, 1529 W. Third St., Fort Wayne, with Rev. Emmett Cox officiating.

Preferred memorials are to the family, in care of Sandy Baumgartner, 1629 Kelly Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46808.

Northeast Indiana Cremation Society, 4602 Newaygo Rd., Fort Wayne, is in charge of arrangements.

John R. Shaw

John Robert Shaw, 89, a resident of Wells County, died at 3:16 a.m. Friday (Aug. 2, 2002) at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Calling will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Bradley officiating.

Burial will be in the Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Charles H. Odier

Charles H. Odier, 84, Orchard Ridge, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday (Aug. 2, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

There are no calling hours. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Nanci Rosinski officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the music department of Trinity United Methodist Church, 530 Guilford St., Huntington IN 46750.

Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Dortha M. ‘Dottie’ Grindle

Dortha M. “Dottie” Grindle, 73, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor West in Wabash, died at the home at 9:10 p.m. Friday (Aug. 2, 2002).

Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, 86 E. Main St., Wabash. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Falls Cemetery, 725 Falls Ave., Wabash. Rev. Mark A. Day will officiate.

Evelyn Gressley

Evelyn Gressley, 98, 843 E. Tipton St., died Saturday (Aug. 3, 2002) at 9:25 a.m. at Norwood Nursing Center.

Services are private.

Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Norwood Nursing Center or Home Health Care and Hospice in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Brenda J. Glancy

Brenda J. Glancy, 45, Hartford City, died at 12:17 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 3, 2002) at Blackford Community Hospital, Hartford City.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Bradley and Pastor Rob Baszner officiating.

Burial will be at Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier.

Preferred memorials are to the First United Methodist Church, 215 E. Green St., Montpelier, IN 47359.
