Calling will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Rick Stone officiating.
Burial will be at the Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville.
Preferred memorials are to the Wabash-Miami Home Health Care and Hospice.
Gordon L. Hart
Gordon L. Hart, 84, Bluffton, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 21, 2002).
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 1:30 p.m. until the 3:30 p.m. funeral service Saturday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. Pastor William Shannon will officiate.
Interment will be at the Six Mile Cemetery
at a later date.

Steven L. Smith, 40, Himes Street, died at 1:26 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 24, 2002) at Goshen General Hospital, Goshen.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with calling one hour prior to services, at the College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Ave., with Rev. Brent A. Birdsall and Rev. Mark Ralph officiating.
Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Barbara J. Nitzschke, 67, North Manchester, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday (Aug. 23, 2002) at her Wabash County residence.
Calling will be from 4-9 p.m. Monday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel, 1401 Ind-114W, North Manchester, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Pastor Tim Prater will officiate.
Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Kevin K. Kirby, 37, Columbia City, died at 6:18 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 25, 2002) at the Parkview Whitley Hospital emergency room in Columbia City, where he was taken after suddenly becoming ill at his home.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Crouse officiating.
Burial will be at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Ind.-9 North, Columbia City.

Charles E. Hall, 60, 1136 Condit St., died at 12:50 a.m. Monday (Aug. 26, 2002) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Arrangements are pending at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, and the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Ky.
V. Stone Carnall
V. Stone Carnall, 2, Fort Wayne, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 24, 2002) from an accidental drowning in a farm pond in Whitley County.
He was born July 13, 2000, in Fort Wayne to Daniel N. and Robin R. Wooton Carnall. His parents survive.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.

Hildred J. Millman, 84, Destrehan, La., died Tuesday (Aug. 20, 2002) at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans, La.
A memorial service was held at the First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans, Metairie, La.
Mildred F. Espinoza
Mildred F. Espinoza, 78, formerly of East Market Street in Huntington, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 27, 2002) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Richard E. Schoeff
Richard E. Schoeff, 79 of Wabash, formerly of CR 700 N. in Huntington, and a daytime resident of Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine died at 5:29 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mr. Schoeff was a lifetime farmer in Huntington County. He was a member of the Roanoke Seminary United Methodist Church for 57 years. He was a 1941 graduate of Roanoke High School and was a WWII veteran in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant from 1943-1946.
He was born on April 17, 1923 in Huntington County a son of Christy and Isabell Rice Schoeff.
He was united in marriage to Martha E. Hughes on May 25, 1945 in Roanoke. She preceded him in death on February 6, 1999.
Survivors include a son: Edward Schoeff of Wabash, two daughters: Carol Rogers of Avon, IN, Marilyn Holstein of Marion, a sister: Marjorie J. Brown of Clearwater, FL, a brother: Robert W. Schoeff of Manhattan, KS and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 11, 2002 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Preferred memorials are to the Roanoke Seminary United Methodist Church in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Interment will be at the Zion Cemetery
in Huntington County.
Katherine May Vinson
Katherine M. Vinson, 98 formerly of 944 Polk Street died at 1:45 PM on Friday, October 11, 2002 at the Norwoods Nursing Center in Huntington. Mrs. Vinson had worked as a teacher with the Lancaster Township Elementary School. She taught grades 1-8 for five years.
She was born on May 16, 1904 in Huntington County a daughter of Edward and Anna Mahoney Whitmore.
She was united in marriage to Roy W. Vinson on April 26, 1930 in Lancaster, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1987.
Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. George (Helen) Lyford of Indianapolis, two stepdaughters: Deloris Skaggs of Riverside, CA, Mrs. William (Mary Jane) Drawdy of Fort Pierce, FL, a sister: Hope W. Brown of Huntington, twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter: Marcella Snyder, a stepson: Harold Vinson, two sisters: Ruth Hiles, Helen Dickson, a half-sister: Mary Trollinger and a half-brother: Russell Whitmore.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the Mt. Etna Cemetery
with Rev. Mel Zumbrun of the Salamonie Church of the Brethren officiating.
Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
