E. Donald Hedges, 86, died Monday (Oct. 28, 2002) at his home in Sun City, Ariz. He had been a resident of Huntington until 1991.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sun City Christian Church, Sun City, Ariz., with Rev. R. Scott Pricer officiating.

Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, at a later date.

Preferred memorials are to the Sun City Christian Church, 98th and Palmeras, P.O. Box 1805, Sun City, AZ 85372; or Central Christian Church, Huntington, in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Vernice C. Kline

Vernice C. Kline, 89, died Friday (Nov. 1, 2002) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, where she was a resident.

Arrangements are pending at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Theda V. Gates

Theda V. Gates, 92, formerly of College Avenue in Huntington, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002) at the Timbercrest Retirement Center in North Manchester.

Calling is from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, with additional visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Heimburg-Addison Funeral Home, 262 North Main St., Angola, N.Y.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at First Church of Evans, 7431 Erie Rd., Derby, N.Y.

Interment will be at the Forest Avenue Cemetery in Angola, N.Y.

Preferred memorials are to International Society of Christian Endeavor, care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Emma Anton

Emma Anton, 85, Greensburg, Pa., died Sept. 27, 2002, at Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg.

Entombment was at the Westmoreland County, Pa., Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Jeannette, Pa., was in charge of arrangements.

Condolences may be sent to Margarette Anton, 920 Gaskill Ave., Jeannette PA 15644.

Wayne B. Adams

Funeral services for Wayne Bernell Adams were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, Wabash. Burial followed at Falls Cemetery, Wabash.

Mr. Adams, 89, Wabash, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 30, 2002) at his home.

Preferred memorials are to Riley Childrens Hospital, in care of Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, IN 46992.

Elva L. Walters

Elva L. Walters, 97, Albion, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday (Nov. 1, 2002) at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown & Son Chapel, Warren, with Pastor Kathie Jones officiating. Burial was at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, LaFontaine.

Rex D. Swing

Rex D. Swing, 82, Roanoke, died at 9:40 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 2, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Jason Gross officiating. Burial will be at the Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Preferred memorials are to the Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church building fund, 880E-1100N, Roanoke, IN 46783.

Ellen L. Peeper

Ellen L. Peeper, 86, Markle, died at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 29, 2002) at Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton.

There is no calling or funeral service.

The Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton, is in charge of arrangements.

Jarie L. MacDonald

Jarie L MacDonald, 80, North Manchester, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday (Nov. 1, 2002) at her home.

Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jim MacDonald officiating. Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Carl L. Leach

Carl Lee Leach, 47, 820 E. Tipton St., died at 3 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 3, 2002) at his home.

Arrangements are pending at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Vernice Kline

Vernice C. Kline, 89, a former resident of Dayton Court in Huntington, died at 7:58 a.m. Friday (Nov. 1, 2002) at the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren.

Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Union Church with Dr. Howard Cherry officiating.

Interment will be at the Union Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Union Church Children’s Ministries or to the Union Church Music Fund, in care of the church at 3688E-400N, Huntington IN 46750.

Mary L. Beery

Mary L. Beery, 91, Pleasant Hill, Ohio, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 2, 2002) at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jackson Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren with Pastor Nick Beam officiating.

Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Ohio.

Preferred memorials are to the Beecher and Mary Beery Scholarship Fund for Manchester College or to the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, in care of the Jackson Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Pleasant Hill, OH 45359.

Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
