Cathleen Wehr, 43, a resident of rural Huntington, died at 5:17 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 8, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Terry Zolman officiating.
Burial will be at Gardens of Memory.

Kathryn V. Ziegler, 82, a resident of the Tipton House, died there at 10:30 a.m. Monday (Dec. 9, 2002).
Calling will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Stephen Stull will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.

Patricia L. ‘Grandma’ Slagle
Patricia Lee “Grandma” Slagle, 68, Van Buren, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 10, 2002) at her home.
Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, and one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Friday funeral services at the funeral home. Rev. Jeff Slater and Chaplain Karen Kosberg will officiate at the service.
Burial will be at the Van Buren Cemetery.

Maudelena A. Gillespie
Maudelena A. Gillespie, 82, a resident of Markle Health Care since October, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 11, 2002) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
There will be no calling hours or services. Interment will take place at a later date.
The Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Jean Utter, 60, Akron, died Tuesday (Dec. 10, 2002) at her home.
Calling will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, followed with funeral services at 1:30 p.m., at the Akron United Methodist Church, 121 N. West St., Akron. Rev. Stevan Haiflich and Rev. Harold L. Leininger will officiate.
Burial will be at the Akron Cemetery.

Kenneth L. Steelman
Kenneth L. Steelman, 51, Gas City, died Wednesday evening (Dec. 10, 2002) in Fairmount.
Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Storey Chapel of the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Marion National Cemetery
with full military rites.
James F. Newman
James F. Newman, 75, Markle, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be incorporated into Sunday’s 9 a.m. worship service at Trinity Lutheran with Rev. Gregory S. Cynova officiating.
Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Jenna E. Miller
Jenna Evelyn Miller, the three-day-old daughter of Adrian O. and Jodi A. Hippensteel Miller, South Bend, died Wednesday morning (Dec. 11, 2002) at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Jenna was born Dec. 8, 2002, in South Bend. Her parents survive.
Also surviving are her grandparents, Cynthia Eckert, Huntington, Ed Hippensteel, Huntington, and Marion and Gloria Miller, Goshen.
A celebration of Jenna’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Calvary Temple, 3717 S. Michigan St., South Bend, with Pastor John Wilson officiating.
Burial will be at the Southlawn Cemetery
in South Bend.
Contributions in memory of Jenna Evelyn Miller may be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, 435 Limestone St., Indianapolis, IN 46202-2819.

Separate graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, where burial will take place.
