Emerson F. Harrell, 85, Rangeline Road, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 22, 2002) at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Father Ron Rieder officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are contributions for Masses at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry St., Huntington IN 46750.

Helen Wolfe Barrick

Helen V. Wolfe Barrick, 82, of Fort Wayne, died Friday (Dec. 20, 2002) at the Laurels of DeKalb, in Butler.

Calling was from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Feller Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, where services were held at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Steve Eckart officiating.

Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.

Preferred memorials are to the Sky Line Community Church, Fort Wayne.

Mardella Webb

Mardella Webb, 90, a resident of Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine, died there at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 25, 2002).

Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Dean Pickett officiating.

Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or The Gideons.

Mary W. Lyons Beghtel

Mary W. Lyons Beghtel, 89, a former resident of Andrews, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 25, 2002) at the Norwood Nursing Center.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Andrews Chapel, 233 N. Main St., Andrews, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Preferred memorials are to the Andrews United Methodist Church, in care of Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Madlyn P. Swartz

Madlyn P. Swartz, 92, Girvin Street, Markle, died at 4 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 26, 2002) at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.

Calling will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle.

Preferred memorials are to Markle United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 378, Markle, IN 46770.

Interment will be at the South Whitley Cemetery.

Thomas W. Michael

Thomas William Michael, 58, Marion, died at 8:59 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 25, 2002) at Marion General Hospital.

Calling is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Andrew Schramm officiating.

Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.

Preferred memorials are to the Friends of Asherwood, in care of Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.

Margaret L. Harris

Margaret L. Harris, 87, State Street, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 24, 2002) at Miller’s Merry Manor.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Interment will be at a later date.

Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Wilbur D. ‘Bill’ Voght

Wilbur D. “Bill” Voght, 58, of 1305A Riverside Drive, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003) at his home.

Calling will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. There will be no funeral service.

Ruby L. Landfert

Ruby L. Landfert, 84, Farragut, Tenn., died at 3 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003) at the NHC Assisted Living Center, Farragut. She is a former resident of Huntington.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Deal-Robbins & Van Gilder Huntington Chapel, where Order of Eastern Star Twilight Services will be had at 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Central Christian Church, 500 MacGahan St., with Rev. Dr. Sam Young officiating.

Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to the Central Christian Church Foundation, 500 MacGahan St.

Paul Dekker

Paul Dekker, 80, 748 Ruth St., died at 11:05 p.m. Monday (Dec. 30, 2002) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Klaehn Fahl and Melton Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne, where the Maumee F&AM Lodge will have a service at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Ronald Kerr officiating.

Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, with graveside services on Tuesday. The time of that service is not yet known.

Preferred memorials are to the Shrine Hospitals for Children or the First Baptist Church.

Elmer G. Pasko

Elmer George Pasko, 80, formerly of Huntington and Clearwater, Fla., died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003) at his home in Bourbonnais, Ill.

Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd. Pastor Bradley Buhro will officiate at the service.

Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.

Preferred memorials are to Gideons International, in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750.

S. Richard Lee

S. Richard Lee, 60, Warsaw, died in North Port, Fla., Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003).

Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Frank Beard officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.

Preferred memorials are to Walnut Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2033S-150W, Warsaw, IN 46750.

Merritt ‘Curly’ Lancaster

Merritt L. “Curly” Lancaster, 74, South Whitley, died at 9:56 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 2, 2003) after collapsing on the sidewalk near his home while shoveling snow.

Calling was from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment was at South Whitley Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes. Association.
